What does the bible say about gay rights?
Who cares?
What does the bible say about gay rights?
Jesus was Gay.
lie,..
lie,..
He had no female friends, hung out with his buddies all the time, and had NO women at the Last Supper. All in a society where men were married by their late teens.
What does the bible say about gay rights?
that doesnt prove he is gay
Gays doing stuff to each other are considered an abomination in the Bible.
"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." Leviticus 18:22
"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them." Leviticus 20:13
It is incorrect to say that Joshua Ben Joseph had no female friends. Mary Magdalene was very close to him and was among a group of women who traveled with the prophet. He had no female friends, hung out with his buddies all the time, and had NO women at the Last Supper. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. (Romans 1:26-27)
Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

Old Testament. Which includes lots of other ignored abominations.Gays doing stuff to each other are considered an abomination in the Bible.

First, who cares when it comes to rights, which are political/governmental concepts. What does the bible say about gay rights?

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. (Luke 8:1-3)

I was asked to provide a Biblical example of homophobia and I provided two quotes. Nothing more.As if i should give a ****.
You can believe as you wish. It will be the nonsense you have just said here. But it's yours to believe.
They are New Testament quotes which are easy to understand. So is it Paul or Jesus that should be worshipped and considered infallible? Because these are words of Paul, who also basically told women they shouldn't speak in church or teach men anything, along with a lot of other chauvinistic crap.
Homosexuality was not a word until the 19th Century, nor is it the proper translation for that.

None of the women who kept company with Joshua Ben Joseph is described as a prostitute. It's all very misogynist. If they're not full of devils, they're prostitutes.
Yes, from Paul. I understand them quite well. They represent the thinking of his time, the mentality, not the mentality of an all-knowing God who actually views men and women as equals, which should have came through in anyones writings who were actually being unerringly inspired by said deity. Either Paul was not completely inspired by God (which being so would negate free will anyway) or he was and God does not think men and women should be treated equally in many regards (equally does not mean the exact same in everything). They are New Testament quotes which are easy to understand.

Loosing? Lol
Priceless
Millions of Christians all over the world follow the old testament
Bull****. the millions you vaguely point to are no doubt among the poorest of nations. People who are dependent on what a priest demand they believe. Americans have no such excuse. When it is pointed out how absurd the old testament laws are they are quick to point out that because of jesus they follow the new, not the old testament. Until their neurotic need to hate gays are mentioned and then they are fine with cherry picking the old.
No, poor people count but that is all you can rely on. Those who are poorly educated and probably have never read the bible themselves as many of americans have not.Ahhhhh poor people dont count. In the south the old testament is preached every day

And cherry pick it while doing so. They cherry pick the passages that give them the ability to hate gays but ignore the laws that say they cannot wear a cotton-polyester shirt.
That is your opinion. They are entitled to their beliefs....even if you think they are stupid
Being uneducated does not mean stupid. I do not question their entitlement. I only point out the hypocrisy they need to hold onto that entitlement.
