What did you have for dinner? -Part dois

Ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce, mayo and mustard, tortilla chips. I had meant to warm up a bunch of leftovers and be done with them, but my son stopped by and it was getting late when he left--too late to cook, anyway. Tomorrow.

Yes, but you want to really stir it up. Drain the pasta leaving enough water to cook the beaten egg while stirring it. Leave enough water to keep it from drying out like you would ramen, soupy.
 
Had my flu and covid shots this morning. Forgot to take an Aleve before I napped and woke up sore and achy. My husband got me some chicken soup and apple kugel from the deli. He had pastrami.
 
Chilly evening and #1 son, his wife and Boo came by, a rare night when all of them were not on shift. We roasted Nathan's in the backyard fireplace with Kraft Mac and leftover kugel.

My aide and I found a farm stand today out in the middle of nowhere and I loaded up with tomatoes--a yellow one, too. She said they're sweet. Can't wait to put it on my club sandwich tomorrow.

Do you make your German potato salad? I love it, haven't had it in years. Some of the recipes I've see don't seem right. I remember tangy/vinegary but mildly sweet dressing with lots of herbs, crumbled bacon and sliced potatoes. That's it, I think.

I wish I can say yes but it’s from a Mennonite butcher shop. Same place I bought the brats.😋
 
Business dinner. We took the couple for an early supper of fresh off the boat at our favorite seafood place before their flight to Vt . Speckled trout, shrimp, oysters, Hatteras clam chowder, She-crab soup. Banana pudding, pecan pie and Atlantic beach pie for dessert.
