Re: What are women marching about?
Actually, you are wrong. the reason most women started going to work is the fact that the amount of pay that the business were given in comparison to the cost of living kept on decreasing, and to have any kind of standard of living, you needed two incomes in the house hold.
You’ve skipped ahead too far. After feminists convinced women to go out and get jobs, married couples found themselves with more money. Such people were targeted by salesmen and told to “keep up with the Jones's”.
Suddenly couples who were content with a small two bedroom house and a single car, wanted three or four bedroom houses, two cars, a swimming pool and a boat. They wanted the biggest washing machine, biggest refrigerator, biggest oven and the biggest, best TV. They wanted newspapers delivered, a nice dog, nice hairdos, and nice clothes.
Wives were encouraged to put everything on credit and have shopping sprees, buying shoes, dresses, jewelry, handbags. They had to have the best watches. They had to have “vacations”, and not just to a nearby camping spot, but interstate or overseas, visiting landmarks and tourist attractions. They had to have a good camera and a slide projector, or even a 8 or 16 mm film camera for home movies. They wanted the best vacuum cleaners.
The more advertisers convinced them the more the married couple spent, using up all their combined wages in the process. When you have more money you tend to spend more and women were suckers for good looking con-artist salesmen. It was the first time they had a lot of money after all, and they would go to town on it.
Now your “needed both wages to pay the bills” came along. At this point, when they were thoroughly hocked, they “needed” to have both wages.
The answer today for anyone wishing to
return to the much better system of raising kids is to go back to the old ways. Here’s what you do:
1) Buy a cheap, two bedroom house. Fix it up yourselves.
2) Have one car, not two, for the man to go to work in.
3) Don’t invest in anything you don’t need, including pools, big TV’s, fancy clothes, jewelry, etc.
4) “Vacations” should be you in the car, with a tent, going camping.
5) No boats, expensive appliances, no silicon tits, no facelifts, no expensive wigs, etc.
6) The husband works. The wife stays at home and raises kids.
7) Don’t try making your husband into a wife.
8) No braces for kids’ teeth.
9) No expensive phones or iPads for kids.
10) Buy inexpensive appliances.
11) Buy second hand car instead of new one. Try not to borrow. Don’t use credit cards.
12) Do most jobs yourself. Repair roof yourself. Paint house yourself. Lay footpath yourself.
13) Fix car yourself. Grow vegetables and fruit.
14) Fix shirts, buttons, socks etc. with needles and thread instead of throwing away.
15) Don’t buy takeout. Cook your own food.
16) Don’t spend a fortune on presents for others at birthdays or X-mas. Be frugal. Don’t be bullied into conforming. Remember – that’s just advertisers using psychology to blackmail you.
17) Eventually the husband will make more and the house will have equity. Sell house and buy bigger one. Always buy fixer-upper and fix it up yourself to increase equity. Take a boarder (like a female Asian student) to bring in extra cash. If there’s room, take two.
18) Even when you’re wealthier, continue with many of these practices. Don’t start splurging.
19) Use discipline to raise your kids. Don’t spare the rod and spoil the child. They will help you with household chores, and even with your business rather than being fat, drugged, useless parasites. They will eventually help make you wealthy.
20) As a result of the above you will have a marriage that lasts and kids to be proud of. You’ll probably be wealthier and happier than most of your family and friends, who used the current system – i.e. – “Acquire as much as possible, put kids in a kindergarten, spoil them rotten and then get divorced.”
This method was much better, before feminists persuaded women to throw it all away and wreck their families.
