Yes, but 'coup' has such dramatic connotations. No wonder righties are all over it, despite being clueless about what a 'coup' actually entails. Using legal means and due process to investigate alleged wrongdoing by a 'president', is not a coup in any sense of the word.

Then again, I have never seen a coup happen without military forces involved. As such, Trump (and you) calling this a coup is ridiculous.

This phenomenon, this visceral and career revulsion with his crimes is found pretty much everywhere.

Not just intel, not just security, but DoD, State, EPA, DoJ, even Wall Street.
If Matt Taibbi thinks this is just a pocket coup from the spooks, it means he hasn't stepped back to get the big picture in a long while, maybe over a year or more.

When even the Dept. of State is firmly in the MUST GO corner, that means the last vestiges of whatever baloney you passed off as statecraft have failed in Isaac Newton fashion and at Uncle Miltie proportions. You have screwed the neighbor's pooch.

And I am surprised Matt doesn't see all this, isn't aware of the fact that he stands not in witness to a storm, but rather, at the confluence of several mighty rivers. And those rivers are going to run their course.
 
Now that Pelosi is violating the law, again, Trump should have the DOJ charge her with violating the Logan Act. So much for Democrats being on the side of law and order.

Ken Starr did the investigating before the Clinton impeachment. They do not have a special investigator for this one so they are investigating it now via the depositions. basically apples to Oldsmobiles. were you outraged that Starr investigated behind closed doors as well?
