Increased border protection, which is what we have been doing (both D and R), is the solution.

You said you wanted people who have solutions and are accepting of bi-partisan support to get things passed like adults. Yes, vote in democrats.
I'm sure there were some Republicans like that too, but it sure as heck wasn't Trump.

Trump is a demagogue, scorched-earth, nationalist. I get that people voted for him because of his rallies and fun talk, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Republicans had the House, Senate, and Presidency, and tried and failed on immigration. Republican struck down Trump's plan, and Trump struck down the Republican plan. Looks like there's an issue with Republicans and immigration reform.

A fence, to be exact. While we can all debate the effectiveness of a wall or a fence, there's really no argument over which will be more invasive, irreversible and ungodly expensive.

He invited the cameras so he would also be talking to more than just Chuck and Nancy (the public).

But if he was trying to trick those 2 into thinking old fencing was his wall, they clearly didn't believe it. Also thank you for not denying Trump lied or mis-lead heavily during that exchange.

Okay let's try this again. Two points were made by Democrats.

1. They would not pay for Trump's wall.
2. Trump doesn't have the votes in the house or Senate to get his wall passed.

Yep, the Dakotas get 4 Senators for a combined population of 1.6 million, while California gets 2 senators for its 40 million.

The average congressional district is currently about 775,000 people. North and South Dakota EACH have about 800,000, meaning they are awarded Senators at a serious discount. I realize the Senate is not population dependent, but it does speak to the imbalance.

The Republicans have surely perfected minority rule given that the Republican President, the Senate and the Congress all lost the popular vote.

North Dakota has one Congressional District. Ditto for South Dakota. I would respectfully contend that the Democrats’ control of Congress doesn’t hinge on either. Control of Congress is much more dependent upon overcoming the gerrymander advantage the Republicans possess. You see, typically more voters vote for Democrats yet Republicans end up with a majority. This time, so many voted for Democrats that it overwhelmed that advantage.

let me also remind you that this Republican president got fewer votes than his opponent.
