Why does every Redskins QB always break a leg? It must be a curse...

How do you blow a 30-10 lead?

Ask Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh never had a 30-10 lead, although they did have a 23-7 lead, the San Diego 7 being a gift from the officials. Once again, in a Steelers game, the officiating was brutal, not even second rate, just pathetic. Two blatantly obvious calls against the Chargers "missed" resulting in 14 points. Steelers never should have lost that game, and it's their fault they did considering their poor play calling in the second half, but there should be some more official firings in the league office this week - that whole crew could be shown the door it was so bad.

All NFL teams have injuries. But this year the Redskins have taken that to a whole new level.

Sad for the Giant fans, they probably have the most 'talent' in the division, and 9-7 will probably win the NFC East, but the Giants won't even finish above .500...

Alex Smith and Joe Theismann have had the most gruesome injuries Ive ever seen in the NFL...

The team playing in Washington is a disgrace. They refused to even give Colin Kaepernick a workout to sign a guy who hasn't thrown a TD pass since 2011.

That comment by Jay the used car salesmen Gruden was laughable.

a. The Redskins are in the playoff race. They would rather give up the chance of making the playoffs because no sane person can argue that Mark Sanchez or Josh Johnson are better than Kaepernick.

b. Kaepernick does't fit the Redskins offense....Josh Johnson has a career qb rating of 57.7... he does not fit any offense.

c. Alex Smith who the Redskins threw all this money at was Kaepernick's backup.

d. The Redskins message is clear: We would rather sign a player that has been accused of beating up his girlfriend instead of a player that kneeled his knee during the national anthem.

The Redskins are a complete disgrace. This is karma for the way they destroyed the young RG3s career and their insistence of mocking native Americans by using a racial slur as their team name.

I am sorry Jack Hayes, but Dan Snyder and George Allen are damn fools.

And the Redskins have a history of extreme racism:

“It was pretty obvious that George Preston Marshall, the owner of the Washington Redskins, led the charge and demanded that blacks not be allowed to play in the NFL,” said Ross Greenberg, the Emmy-nominated filmmaker who created the documentary Forgotten Four: The Integration of Pro Football. “There was a feeling that blacks were taking away the jobs of whites … so they didn’t want that on the football field.”

In 1944, Marshall told Ric Roberts of the Pittsburgh Courier that “there is no place in professional football for the Negro because the white players would resent his presence and ‘frame’ him for terrible and perhaps fatal injuries.”

I am not saying George Allen and Dan Snyder are racists. We already know though they do not believe in science.

a. Mark Sanchez and Josh Johnson both give the Redskins a better chance to win than does Colin Kaepernick. They know the Redskins' system; he does not.
b. See "a" above.
c. The worst decision in recent 49ers history was to keep Kaepernick and let Smith go.
d. The player accused of beating up his girlfriend offers more help to the team, and won't play at all until his situation is thoroughly addressed.
e. RG3 destroyed his own career, and 90% of Native Americans think the Redskins' name is just fine.

Snyder and Allen form a separate topic.
Is it your claim that George Preston Marshall's views have something to do with the way the Redskins are run today?

I'm done, Jack! If you believe that, fine. The fact that Bruce Allen does is an embarrassment.

But I am not surprised. Bruce Allen is a person that does not believe in climate change. He is an incompetent executive.

There is another subforum to discuss climate change. If Allen questions AGW orthodoxy that is to his credit.

Alex Smith is still in the hospital:

NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported that Smith is battling an infection related to the surgery and said the veteran is being handled carefully and “seriously” by doctors.

Redskins blog Burgundy Blog first reported that Smith was still in the hospital after undergoing surgery on Nov. 20. The site reported that Smith’s post-operative infection could require “partial reconstruction.”

The Redskins said Smith’s family requests privacy.

“On behalf of Alex Smith, we appreciate all of the concerns and prayers over the i

At this point, this is more about football. It is about him fighting for his life.

Everything I've read about Alex Smith over the years said he was a great guy, and his teammates loved him. He is a stand-up man.

Reading what he is going through now is upsetting. I pray and hope for the best for him..

I somewhat agree, but I dont think its up to the owners because they know the fans will revolt if they bring Kaepernick in, so its more of a business decision I guess.
