I caught the President’s speech just in time to see Rush introduced then awarded the medal. What an awesome moment.

I think they kept it from him; that it was going to happen - he seemed genuinely surprised.

I'm not a fan of the guy - though I think he's quite smart - but it was truly touching.

He's deaf and dying of cancer, and he was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.
