That has nothing to do with explaining the pay gap.

Again, did you see my comic-men ask for raises more and take less vacation days AND work longer hours even when compared to the same level to a women there are variables.

And I appreciate that. Gun registration already exists in lots of places even in the US. They tend to have low gun deaths. The same is true in first world countries all over the world. If you bought from a dealer it is already defacto registered. I am mostly looking to close the loopholes
Everything has a loophole doesn't it? Gun shops, gun shows, private sales, online sales via FFL or not.

Working longer hours = overtime = more pay.

But you justified men getting more pay for the same job and same number of hours.

What evidence do you have of this, of men and women who're doing the same job.

That's what the wage gap is, women getting paid less for doing the same job








That is sexist bigotry and you're full of it.
I'm a manager and I can tell you first hand that women call off sick far more often than men, take more vacation time, come in on their days off to cover other shifts less often than men, volunteer for O.T. less often. More hours worked equals more money made. Less hours worked equals less money made. Period. If you are talking purely about 2 people, one man and one woman, who have the exact same job title for the same company, doing the same work, neither has more time on the job than the other, and the woman is making less.....then barring any raises the man may have been given due to better job performance then THAT is a problem. But that isn't the norm. Show me an example of that.

So everyone, myself included, takes every hour of vacation or we lose it.

If there are companies/hiring managers who are paying men more per hour than women for the same work then that is bull**** I agree. But I dont think that is happening very much. The opposite could be true sometimes especially if the manager is a woman and playing favorites with women employees. Otherwise the "wage gap" is purely a figment of women not working as many total hours as men.

If there are companies/hiring managers who are paying men more per hour than women for the same work then that is bull**** I agree. But I dont think that is happening very much...

Before posting, did you read any articles on the "wage gap"

My old company used to determine the annual pay raise based on their annual performance review...so some women made more than men but everyone was within a "scale"

I've worked for many different restaurant concepts as both a server, chef and manager and it's always been the same. Women call off much more often. And I made a mistake when I said women take more "vacation time" What I should have said was women "ask for more time off". In the restaurant industry unless you are a Chef, head server, or Maitre' D you do not get paid vacation. I was referring to women who ask for unpaid time off to do whatever. It's been MY experience that women ask for this more than men, thus work less hours

Perhaps in your industry that is the case.

In my experience in the UK, with union staff, the men made sure to call out sick a regular amount of time - "auxiliary vacation time" we used to call it (especially near pay days)


In the USA, my experience was that people (regardless of sex) called out sick on racial lines.
