U.S. military officers who fought in Syria say they are devastated and ashamed

I support Trump pulling our troops out, but this was the wrong way to do it.

Sure, the Pentagon was made aware of the withdrawal but it was an abrupt decision on Trump's part and I doubt that even one General agreed with the decision.

Sure thing, Sherlock.

Who else was imprisoning and guarding thousands of ISIS terrorists? Who was guarding US special forces camps? They were doing the West a huge favour, and now your idiotic 'president' has abandoned them. Nice work America!

If it's so important and needs to be done you know you could always get your country to take over.

Oh thats right. No one wants to do that. That just want to sit back and bitch about America.

Pathetic.

There are many SF who fought with the Kurds who don't bye your view that leaving is a good idea. And I understand unconventional warfare better than most and who you cut ties with, and when, and who you don't. And clearly you missed that part of your education.

You cut ties with who ever the US government decides is no longer either useful or the risk is not worth the rewards. That is not a decision made by the troops on the ground.
So no I did not miss any part of my education.
But it seems like you need to work on your reading. I have already stated that I don't agree with the decision to leave. But I am not going to act like it's some massive unheard of event. Like many on the left are doing.

But we get it. Trump. That's really all this is about.

~ Were it Obama, or Hillary that made this decision. They'd be praising the move and screaming **** the Kurds, or some other inane response like that.

I'd still be sitting here saying that the decision had to be made either way.
I said no such thing.

My statement was that if it were Obama or Hillary that did this. Barely anyone on the left would be making a sound, nor possess a care about it.

Your own words prove you wrong.

Yes, our allies, the Kurds- who engage in terrorism. If you think theyre our friends, then I sure would like to know who you consider as enemies.

Russia supporting trolls who cheer Brexit on so that the United Kingdom gets broken up or poverty gets inflicted on the population.

So you decided to Quote me proving you wrong and then act like it actually means you're correct...?

Apparently lying is all you have left at this point... Neat.

You simply don't understand why you were wrong in the first place we will just go round a merry-go-round. Meanwhile, your words quoted correctly prove you to be the liar.

Just pointing out how this isn't a one sided story.
Because if all the left has is to tell a sob story and to spit in the faces of people who don't agree with them. Then I don't have the slightest amount of time to spare for their faked sense of morality.

It shouldn't be a sob story. I suspect Troopers are mad more than they are sad. They had an ally that suffered 11,000 dead in fighting their common enemy while US troopers suffered 4 dead in attriting the caliphate. That is pretty simple math and it does not take a genius to figure out that nobody is going to trust the United States in that kind of alliance again, certainly not with Donald Vladimir Trumpkin in office and maybe for a good bit of time after that.

For the crowd that thinks we can just build a wall and hide behind it, we couldn't do it in a world without cyber and space war. So get real. We will need allies like we had in Syria again and Trumpkin, Mr "Alliances are easy" (yes folks he actually said those words about this topic) just sank us big time in that regard. That is only one aspect of this disaster but it is surely the one that effects troopers.

Sure beats German agents who are full of nothing but bluster and false pride while pretending to be British.

Those 'terrorists' were guarding ISIS prisoners who will probably soon be released as the Kurds move out. Another genius move by Trump who knows more than the generals. The Kurds were also responsible for guarding US special forces-Green Berets.

They werent very good guards, it seems.

Falling into hyperbolic yammering, really isn't helping here.

Seeing as I was merely pointing out that had either Obama, or Hillary done as such. The left would be totally fine with all of this, for the sole fact that it wasn't Trump who'd done so.

My prior quote made no delineation as to such actions being illegal, unethical, or otherwise and you attempting to frame them as such. Is just you being desperate.

America's word is worth less than dirt. That's the real legacy of Donald Trump's foreign policy.

False equivalency....will the Right ever get tired of false equivalencies....my guess....NO!!!!

NOTHING has ever been as corrosive to American Society, the very fabric of the country as Donald Vladimir Trumpkin. Nobody has ever sold out this country from the WH to the extent of Donald Vladimir Trumpkin.

As for the Neo's and their warped view of the world, even that is pretty weird because the very first task of National Government is the National Security. The very reason they can buy a Ford F150 with a gun rack on credit is because there is a Federal Government acting in our National Interest. Presidents make mistakes but as long as they are for our Interest and not theirs, we can live with that. Donald Vladimir does not do a single thing that is in the National Interest. He only does what is in his interest and he only does it in ways that salve his tortured, malignant pathologies.

Please leave the idiotic hyperbole in the gutter where it belongs. Because if all you can do is throw ad homonyms around, then you're not really going to achieve much in the long run.

Though I must thank you for sharing your opinion at least.

You don't get to censor me thank you very much and I only wish it were hyperbole.

My country has been in Syria since the beginning of the conflict. If America actually did something positive for a change there would be no reason to bitch. Under the cretin you elected I'm afraid there's no hope.

<ad hominem> A homonym is something completely different-two words with the same spelling but different meanings. Glad I could help.

~ you attempting to frame them as such ~

That's where you went wrong. You projected your own behaviour on me.

Yeah, them too. Russian trolls and German agents should be called out everywhere on the forum.

This mess is dripping with Trumpian irony. The best you can say for Trumpkin is that he was "Trumped" by Erdogan. I actually doubt that though. IMO, Trumpkin was in on this right from the Erdogan call forward, not the one last week. The one before that. Just maybe did not clue Trumpkin in regarding how far he would go in his attack across the border.

Erdogan now agrees to meet with Pence after declining to do so. Erdogan trolling and Trumping Trumpkin for sure in that.

Trumpkin sending Pence with Pompeo as a babysitter. I seriously doubt Pence would know if Erdogan actually crapped or just broke wind.

Good, report back to Merkel about your status then.

Funny, most of us see your argument as directed from St Petersburg but nobody except the Russian supporters think I am a German agent.

Alright, where did I state that any crime was committed, or that I was okay with any crime being committed?

Here's your chance.

Trollery does not base on reason because it doesn't have to.

Blathering inanities suffices nicely.

It's better than just letting our people stay there. With no clear goals, or even the means to achieve them.

The goal was very clear; to support the Kurds (who have lost over 10,000 dead) in ridding Syria of ISIS. ISIS are still there, still resisting, and now there's the very real danger that thousands will be released from Kurdish captivity as our allies, the Kurds, move out as the Turks move in. Another of Trump's 'very stable genius' moves.

And another moment of faux moral outrage from someone on the left. Color me surprised.
