Trump signs executive orders on coronavirus economic relief

Again, the senate won’t even bring it to the floor for debate. That is entirely on republicans. The house did its job. The senate republicans are playing politics with the lives and financial well-being of Americans. And they are going to get their asses handed to them in the 2020 election.

You clearly haven't read the crap Nancy stuck in there.

There is a reason Senate won’t even bring it to the floor for debate. I told you what it was. THe ball is in Nancy's court.

Nope. republicans are playing politics with peoples lives. They will be paying for it in November when they lose the senate.

Republicans don’t care about Americans. They won’t even bring the bill to the floor for debate. They could pass their own version but they would rather make Americans suffer.

A decent politician would rewrite their BS bill to get it passed in the Senate. That is entirely the fault of the Democrats.

Rewriting a House bill to get it through the Senate is what the Senate is for. If the current leadership in the Senate can’t handle the bare minimums of the job, it’s time for a change in that useless chamber.

The House did its job. The Senate has not.

Hear Hear! There are far too many posters - on this thread, and on DP in general - who simply have no idea how legislating works. They just knee-jerk blame the other side. Remember this? Schoolhouse Rock How a Bill Becomes a Law

Apparently people recognize that Pelosi is one of the few master legislators left in Washington, the rare politician capable of crafting complex legislation that can get the votes to pass. She doe it for the House all the time, I guess people are starting to feel like she ought to do the Senate’s homework for it, too. Lord knows McConnell doesn’t have a tenth of her skill at legislating.

Actually, McConnell is more than her equal.

McConnell isn’t even close to being in her league. He’s got about as impressive and extensive a legislative record as any random DP poster. Which is to say, none. His talent is in gumming up the works to achieve nothing, which he excels at. Especially during national crises.

He has accomplished everything he wanted, despite the burden of Trump.

I appreciate that someone else is paying attention to how dreadfully appallingly bad McConnell is at legislating. He has done two things in 10 years, and neither were really difficult.

He’s as effective as Paul Ryan was in the House during his pathetic tenure as Speaker. Both were jokes as legislators.

Pelosi, on the other hand, can actually get the job done.

The House did a great job of attempting to slide Billions of their pork into the bill. The Senate did just what they should have: Ignored it. Nancy needs to learn that without working with the R's she is impotent.
