Trump Mocks Dr. Ford at Campaign Rally

I see...so it is okay for people on the Left to call Kavanaugh all sorts of despicable things, doubt his veracity, assume the very worst of him.

But anyone make light of his accuser? Even using her own words against her to demonstrate problems with her testimony?

"Shame!" The Left cries. "Cretin! Fool! Liar! Sexist! Misogynist!" and on and on. All perfectly okay.

How about accepting a little of that same shame when you assume the worst of someone and feel free to vilify them at will?

Think about it. :coffeepap:

Correct.

But the people that normally stay home in midterms are Democrats and this will help cement their turnout at the polls.

I do so hope...

I suspect that much of the recent issues with the GOP have helped obscure a general malaise/weakness in the Democratic party. True, Hillary's campaign was inept in a couple surprising ways, but regardless Trump did win. The problem wasn't the absence of a swamp. It was that we elected an old mildly-demented crocodile that is ready to start a fight with any teeth that fall out. And it happened because whatever one thinks of modern Democratic policies, the Democrats have the verbal version of a "punchable face". Not quite as bad as Cruz-face, but...

So... eh. I'm not even going to get hopeful. I hope it's not just Democrats but good Democrats, but we'll see. Not much hope though. I suspect we'll switch to less of a walking disaster phase, but who knows.

We'll see.

Who are you responding to? OP? OP that claims speech like Trump's has something to do with the question "why don't women come forward sooner?"

<cartoon snipped>

Why, thank you for that seasonable levity. One must always pwn the libs, as it is written.

Well, you do recall that you said "we lawyers" would know that the presumption of innocence applies to Kavanaugh here, even though it is not a criminal trial and even though a vote by a congressional committee member (this was when you said it, not now) does not have to meet an standard beyond whatever congress counts as a properly cast vote.

Right? Recall?

Ok, so now recall with me that the testimony of a single witness can be proof beyond reasonable doubt in a criminal trial. I can only presume the same goes for any sentence enhancement affected by Apprendi, and progeny.

Ok. Got that thought? Here's the finish:you can't very well complain about someone finding this woman credible and thinking they should not put her on the Supreme Court in that case, unless you have started thread after thread after thread after thread about the vilest injustice of convicting people under the highest standard of proof on the testimony of one witness.

That is completely untrue. Trump said, "where in the house, was it upstairs, downstairs... 'I don't know... but I had ONE BEER, that's all I know."

That was demonstrably NOT all that she knows.

She knows she went upstairs, and was pushed into a bedroom by Mark Judge and Brett Cavanaugh;

she knows there was music, and someone turned it up loud;

she knows she was pinned to the bed, groped, and she knows 100% that it was Brett Cavanaugh who pinned her down and tried to pull her clothes off;

she knows that when she tried to scream for help, Kavanaugh covered her mouth so forcefully that she couldn't breathe, and feared he might inadvertently kill her;

she knows that she looked at Mark Judge, and thought he might help her;

she knows that instead of helping her, he jumped on top of them both;

she knows that when they all fell off the bed, she was able to escape and lock herself in the bathroom that was right across from the bedroom;

she knows she heard them stumbling down the stairs, pinballing off the walls;

And she remembers the laughter, the uproarious laughter; that they were having fun at her expense; laughing with each other, two friends having a really good time together.

THAT, sir, is what Dr. Christine Blasey Ford remembers; and Trump is a ****ing liar.

Not sure "accuracy" has ever really been a concern of Trump. He uses hysterics to whip his followers into a frenzy, purposefully to bypass logic and reason and encourage emotional responses.

Your responses are being graded. Your attempt at laconic sarcasm earns you a D. I gave you a point for effort. I suggest less words and more creativity. It should be rarely used and have singular bite. Try again.

I have graded your response. You get a C+. Needs more bite. Also its a bit difficult to follow. I gave points for effort and creativity and wit.

Anyone else you want to "grade" or would you like to talk about the topic, perhaps by defending the bull**** you said at some point?

Post #17 was long, I admit. But you kinda went "[I'll do a verbal fart and scarper]".

Disgusting, despicable, and vile. This is why women don't come forward. :(

Oh oh, someone forgot to babysit the president again!

Maybe some agree with him but how can you ignore how he was on message, wait for the FBI etc and now this?

Remember how people were praising him for how controlled and measured he was when he called Ford's testimony credible? I knew it wouldn't last. He has zero self-control.

I don't care what side you're on this is no way to handle this. This is more than unpresidential, it's subhuman.

Unless you're an anarchist...he is your president.

that's really stupid since she is a resident, and citizen of AUSTRALIA

What's even worse is the idiot Republican voters in the background cheering for everything this lunatic says. Man, I hope the Democrats get out and vote in strong numbers this mid-term and in 2020 and boot these cretins out of power.

Pence is a nutjob and enabler of the whole freakshow.

He's not any better.

He's worse, mainly because the GOP likes him more, and he's a hell of a lot smarter than Trump.

Really!? That lady stepped into a political ****storm willingly, and she wonders why she is covered in ****. She waits 30+ years, NOW she steps forward. Real women AND men come forward immediately, because they understand the implications of NOT regardless their comfort. If they wait till decades later thats on them. They have no sympathy from me. Ms. Ford has no sympathy from me. As far as I am concerned she is con artist hired by the democrats, a paid character assassin. She has earned all the enmity headed her way.

Bull. Try reading up on Jimmy Savile before complaining about waiting years before coming forward.

At the end of the day, that girls and boys, is the President of the United States, advertising for the next episode of his reality TV show "The white House - How I will continue to divide the nation."

You don't have to be an American to believe that President Trump should be focusing on ways to unite the American people, not going out of his way to focus on topics designed to divide.

I am perfectly fine with what I wrote. Stated my point view as I see it. Whether you agree or not I dont particularly care.

I will continue grading responses because thats what I feel like doing at the moment. I am tired of the unimaginative responses, I mean put some effort into being snarky, mean, laconic what have you. People should want to read it the stuff you write. They should get a chuckle regardless whether they are being ripped or not. Otherwise this all much ado about nothing really.

For instance:

Ms. Ford reminds me of a sex starved cobra, with the cold intense beady look to her eyes, that says I am gona **** you here and now. I bet she has cold clammy feel to her hands when one shakes them. Dont get me started on the whiny valley girl accent, aren't adults supposed to grow out that phase? Talk about whiny bitchy little girl. Holy **** batman! I cant get it out my head the picture of her going "ewwwww" in the way teen girls do with that snotty I am better than you attitude. Thtas just wrong, on so many levels.

I see Halloween has arrived early, in DC, all manner monsters and ghouls are out. They like to call themselves Republicans and Democrats. All tricks no treats. I am convinced I am gona see a version of Rick Moranis running away from a demented demon dog screaming "Doggie want a bone?", at which the point Gozer the Gozerian shows and turns the sad demented burg into a real circus. Writing of:

DC resident A. The circus is in town.
DC resident B. Did it ever leave?

PT Barnum was right, there is a sucker born every minute.

Bull. Try reading up on Jimmy Savile before complaining about waiting years before coming forward.

Wow that was an enlightening comment. Please do more.

America is a disgrace.

We should do better.

:2wave:

America is not a disgrace. No Country is without it's problems and there are always things that could be improved everywhere but overall there's much to love about your Country and her people. It's a shame that you need someone from the other side of the world to have to tell you that.

Trump, and his doomed godforsaken party, is a disgrace.

I still love em. He's great. I want him to do more. I sent him a letter. It said I would like a pony. Those tiny ones. I'd like a matching pair. I want to make slippers. It wouldn't do if the ponies didnt match.
