I'm all for actual capitalism and true Conservative thought on many, if not most, issues. Unfortunately we do not practice true capitalism in the US, but its bastard cousin called corporatism, and the folks who call themselves Conservatives these days don't hold a notion of what actual conservatism is.

REAL Conservatives don't spend like drunken sailors. They live within their means. They don't diminish the rights of others while attempting to retain their own. They do not abhor Golden Rule Ethical thinking but champion it, as they are well aware that you can NOT demand from others that which you are not prepared to give to others. REAL Conservatives understand the nature of coexistence is compromise. You just don't give the store away. You give and demand fairness in respectful bartering with your equals.
