The guy who finds a way to justify every racist dog whistle uttered by Trump thinks this is about dogwhistles.

It isn't about antisemitism, E. It's about Trump complaining that Jews won't vote for him even after he's been so nice to Bibi. The truth is that this shows a right wing misunderstanding that Israel is synonymous with Jews. The truth is that Jews, like all people, have a wide array of opinions that don't necessarily line up with biblical beliefs about what role Israel has in the future.

Trump finally gave everyone to have an opinion on a subject we all know about to seldom discuss: the right wing belief that what they are doing for Israel is what the Jews want because the bible says so. The conclusion is what would be expected. Jews don't have a single uniform opinion on Israel. Jews don't uniformly support Bibi's love affair with the American right.

Amazing how you missed the mark.

Americans aren't supposed to be loyal to the political leadership.

The political leadership is supposed to be loyal to the people of america.
 
When Joe Biden talked about putting black people back in chains, he didn't mean that black people would be picking cotton again. He said it in the middle of a discussion on the implications of Republican policy on the black community. It was clear a moronic allegory. Moronic cause there would be a lot of dead people before that happens and no one is interested.

When Trump says Jews are disloyal for voting for someone other than Republicans, it is an accusation of what the Jewish population is. Trump says this because he has been taught that Israel is synonymous with Jews and Judaism. I have no doubt it is by his entourage of evangelicals. The problem is that Jewish people have - gasp - varying opinions. Some are in favor of whatever Israel does to defend itself. Others are not. Some like Bibi. Some don't. Trump has shed light on the importance of seeing groups of people as individuals.

Until the right understands this, it won't grow.

And if the "political leadership", AKA President Trump, openly encouraged Israel to ban 2 US House of Representatives, whom were duly elected by the 'people of America,' for expressing their !st Amendment Right to legitimately question US/ foreign policy and fulfill their constitutional obligation to provide oversight not being disloyal to them as an American?

Those two representatives are as much part of the political leadership as Trump is.

But they're loyal to their constituents and he isn't.

While you are correct that many Jews are like all other people,thus not single issue. That being said not sure they would agree agree with Iran that holocaust II is what is called for.

Trumps comments about disloyality we are supposed to believe is a nazism trope against jews but Biden telling blacks that republicans wanted to put them back in chsins wasnt a slavery trope aimed at blacks. Have fun trying to convince anyone of that.

Face it the left wrote the book on idenity politics. Its too bad the left is missing the lesson being given to them here. I wonder how many more of these incidents its gonna take before they learn to stop doing it.

I don't remember him accusing people of Italian decent of being disloyal to Italy. I don't remember him accusing people of German decent of being disloyal to Germany.

That's not the statement in question though. The statement in question is why Jews won't vote for Republicans are disloyal. If that's the statement then we aren't seeing a complaint so much as a frustration over what we all know is true but Republicans don't admit. Most Jews in America are middle of the road when it comes to Israel politics. Republicans have figured that out today.

You're onfused. I talked about the meaning of Trump's statement. It is an accusation directed against people who won't vote for his party. The implications of which are that there is a clear frustration around Jews not being swayed by Trump's obsession with being liked by Bibi. The evangelical right has spent so much time defending everything Israel does, they never cared to ask if Jews in the US agreed with them and would vote for them as a result.

Every day since Israel was born American white nationalists have accused Jews of mixed loyalty/disloyalty. Every American Jew probably got a shiver up the spine when Trump said that.
