Trump Has Spent $115 Million on Golf Trips - Or 287 Years of Presidential Salary

But that $25M FBI investigation!

But that $25M FBI investigation!

Which was paid for from all the cash and property confiscations from Manafort. Trump cost's us over 100M in 3 years of golf outings, and the GOP complains about 25M of an appropriate investigation that did not actually cost tax payers anything.

It's transparent hypocrisy all the way.

Yeah, that investigation actually showed a profit with seizures of funds, property and other goods from the perps worth more than $40 million.

The policy states the occasions pretty clearly.

It seems incumbent on the accuser to prove the basis of the accusation. At least, that's the way it used to work in our system before the Democrat-Socialists took control.

Lynch mobs run by Democrat-Socialists seem to be able to operate just fine with no evidence whatever.

Seems to be habit forming.

The policy does not state any of that very clearly...in fact not at all.

Lynch mobs....rofl.

That's irony, coming from the party that still thinks cutting taxes increases government revenue; the party that still believe man-made climate change is a hoax; the party that, in a recent poll, thinks that Trump is a better president than Lincoln; the party who a large percentage of members falsely believed then-President Obama to be a Muslim; who a large number of Republicans falsely believed that Hillary Clinton was connected to a child sex trafficking ring run out of the basement of a pizzeria in Washington, D.C.; and who accept as facts the 14,000 and growing number of lies that Trump tells them.

Thank you for presenting a post that proves my point.

Everything you said is filled with misinformation and lies.

That you think it refutes or supports anything is amusing in one way and sad in another.

To hit the number of lies you lie about, Trump would need to be telling 16 every day.

What were the 16 lies you lie about him having told yesterday? Please list and link to them. Of course you can't, because he didn't, and you are lying about this and so much else.

Then, don't you think the president would be happy to provide the records from his bank account(s) showing us that he personally paid all the costs of his golfing days?

Why do the Democrat-Socialists ALWAYS hold the presumption of guilt to be sacred?

A person is presumed innocent in this country.

Innocence is presumed. It does not need to be proven.

President Obama played most of his golfing days at Andrews Air Force Base and Fort Belvoir - somewhat cheaper on the basis of security costs and lodging for his staff. 322 days on a course during 8 years. Trump has played golf 228 times in 3 years with very few games on courses he doesn't own.

Every time I have seen footage of Trump "playing golf", it's in a business being conducted atmosphere. I don't know if I've ever seen him swinging a club.

This is generally considered doing business since he's, well, you know, doing business.

At least half of making a deal is opening lines of communication. This is what playing golf with a person does.

What makes doing business with the butt hurt prima donnas in the Democrat-Socialist party so difficult is that they don't want to communicate.

They don't care who it hurts or what it costs. They want to win and they want Trump to lose. They don't understand they are on the same team.

They are so consumed with hate that they refuse to acknowledge that Trump is delivering what they've been lying about trying to deliver for the last 70 years.

Kanye sees it. In one way it's very sad that they're so hate filled that they've been blinded to the real world. In another way, it's almost funny.

Like any other huckster, if the problem Democrat-Socialists describe is solved, they can't sell snake oil. Real solutions equal lost opportunity.

Solution? Trump's gotta go!

Trump supporters are apparently happy with his corruption and violation of the emoluments clause (much of the money is spent at his resorts) because he's championing other 'causes' that are close to their hearts.

Do the costs incurred add up to more than would have been spent at a different venue?

Trump offered to host the G-7 at no charge, but this was rejected by the rabidly anti Trump Democrat-Socialists.

How does saving money for the country and not collecting any profit for himself violate the letter or intent of the emoluments clause?

The policy does not state any of that very clearly...in fact not at all.

Lynch mobs....rofl.

So, then, there is absolutely no basis for charging any kind of a violation at all since the policy addresses nothing.

Good! I'm glad we got that settled!

Well... let’s call it a bonus for superstar performance.

Obama’s economy for 8-years was a turd in a bucket. Not surprising, because Obama is an economic illiterate. What clown would tell businesses to take loans to make payroll? Doh... Obama.

Trump has set all manner of economic records. We can afford the hard working, kick ass CEO a few excursions to his home to play golf.

ROTFLOL... unlike others, he doesn’t have to pay green fees, and he’s not costing an operator a day’s tee sheet of loses.

Now, if he sucked at his job like Obama... complaints would be warranted. Obama claimed to have a “laser-like “ focus on the economy. That’s nice... but no results. His were “words... just words.”

That Trump found (ROTFLOL) the economic “magic wand” Obama asked about... is worthy of spending a few more bucks than the former hack-er in the White House.

At least trump can play golf... unlike Obama... who laid door-mat styled divots over the ball. Don’t understand that analogy? Ok... he played golf... like he threw a baseball. Sorta like a trans man whose effeminate qualities still glaringly shine through.

And he wore a glove to throw out the pitch... ROTFLOL... someone probably had to show him how to get his fingers into it!!!

So... that Trump has turned the economy around in a historic way... by knowing where the magic wand is and how to wield it... justifies spending more than Obama.

Superstar performers get more. More money, more perks... that’s the way it goes. It’s worth every penny... now... if he sucked at his job like Obama... then no.

I think one does need to provide evidence of innocence when one is charged with "High crimes and misdemeanours"

Just ONE Obama ****-up:

Report: Taxpayer loss due to Solyndra may be as high as $849 million

Solyndra misled government to get $535M solar project loan: report - Washington Times

If we take the lower number... that ONE Obama ****-up cost the taxpayer 1,337.50 years of presidential pay.

I think, in a Soviet styled system, one does need to provide evidence of innocence when one is charged with "High crimes and misdemeanours"

Actually, there is a need to prove guilt.

The House will likely vote to impeach, the Senate will undoubtedly acquit and Trump will be elected in a bigger landslide than the last one.

The House will go back to the GOP, the Senate will have a bigger GOP majority and Trump will appoint two more SCOTUS Justices and be way over 250 Federal Judges appointed by the end of 2024.

All in all, Schiff and Nadler have been better for Trump's re-election effort than anything Trump ever dreamed of doing.

I love it that at least one Democrat-Socialist is saying that a President can be impeached repeatedly and continuously. These morons are the gift that keeps on giving.

zimmer once again shows his hatred of former President Obama is based on nothing more than QAnon and Alex Jones nonsense. Just one example "Obama’s economy for 8-years was a turd in a bucket."

the economy 2009-2019.webp

Those willing to accept reality will notice the rate of increase in the S&P 500 and total employment have simply continued the same rate of growth during Trump's days in office as we can see during Obama's time in the Oval Office. Manufacturing employment growth has flattened during 2019 as American manufacturers cut back.

Trump's trade wars were supposed to rescue US manufacturing and agriculture. But his policies have made them significantly worse.

  • Throughout his presidency, Trump sought to rescue segments of the economy he believed were abandoned by politicians at home and battered by competitors abroad, like US manufacturing and agriculture.
  • The opposite occurred instead as American manufacturing is slumping and farmers have suffered painful losses.
  • Trump appeared ready to scale back his ongoing trade wars recently, but those expectations were shattered when the president announced he was imposing tariffs on steel and aluminum from Brazil and Argentina on Monday.
  • Some economists say the president's protectionist policies are inflicting more pain rather than restoring industries to full strength like he intended.
"The two most trade-exposed sectors are manufacturing and agriculture," Ted Alden, a trade expert and senior fellow at the Council of Foreign Relations, told Business Insider.
Apologies for going off topic - just had to respond to blatant nonsense.

"doing business"? the man has shown his incompetence in every aspect of business except for selling bad products and then stiffing contractors and workers. One must wonder if he learned it all from his father, the KKK member.

"opening lines of communication" oh yeah, Trump is a good communicator with authoritarians he wishes to emulate, with normal democratic leaders from other nations - not so much.

THE REAL WORLD - Trump's trade wars were supposed to rescue US manufacturing and agriculture. But his policies have made them significantly worse.

Do you offer secret decoder rings so your words can be deciphered?

Yes. In the event one lacks the intelligence to see what it is being said, I provide classes on the weekends. Feel free to bring your dog, I think I could teach it to read better as well.

Not everyone. Only those who are trying to convince others that they are what they are not.

Thats everyone. You would be hard pressed to find someone on this forum or in politics who has not flipped on this topic.

Firstly the argument that his places are potentially cheaper is ludicrous - the money should not be going to his businesses, period. I'm sure government is capable of shopping around. Secondly it's the first I've heard he offered to host G7 free of charge; he would actually lose money because the place still costs plenty to run. Even if he did, the future potential to promote his business as the one-time site of a summit violates the clause because he'd still profit from it eventually. In any case it's hard to imagine Trump doing anything for free. Nor as he cuts taxes for the rich and wastes money on vanity projects while blowing out the deficit, does he seem capable of 'saving money for the country'.

Taking the last point first, GDP is at the highest level it has ever been at.

Arrests of illegals crossing the Southern Border are right now at the lowest point since May earlier this year and are down 70% since that month's report.

This is the result the negotiations conducted by Trump and his team with Mexico and the Central American Countries and getting real assistance in the form of border and military assistance as needed.

Incidentally, it's difficult to go through any day without hearing about something happening with international relations that are not the direct result of successful negotiations with Trump and some foreign power.

Regarding the first point, how many buildings are labeled with YOUR name?

Before Trump became President, Forbes estimated his wealth at more than $3 Billion. How much more will he need to amass before he reaches "Somerville" money?
