Jordan, specifically, was scorned by racist private golf clubs. It was an example of wealth (and fame and universal adoration) not making escape from racism possible.

Your quip was unknowingly in that vein. "Even Jordan can't wear golf clothing." That became "even the President can't golf".

Make no mistake. That narrative drove the criticism.

The policy states the occasions pretty clearly.

It seems incumbent on the accuser to prove the basis of the accusation. At least, that's the way it used to work in our system before the Democrat-Socialists took control.

Lynch mobs run by Democrat-Socialists seem to be able to operate just fine with no evidence whatever.

Seems to be habit forming.

That's irony, coming from the party that still thinks cutting taxes increases government revenue; the party that still believe man-made climate change is a hoax; the party that, in a recent poll, thinks that Trump is a better president than Lincoln; the party who a large percentage of members falsely believed then-President Obama to be a Muslim; who a large number of Republicans falsely believed that Hillary Clinton was connected to a child sex trafficking ring run out of the basement of a pizzeria in Washington, D.C.; and who accept as facts the 14,000 and growing number of lies that Trump tells them.

3000 ads? Does this mean they ran it 3,000 times? If so, that is nothing.

Is THIS what the big hubbub is all about? this is crazy stuff. We are going nuclear over some FB and Instagram ads and we don't even get to see those ads to judge for ourselves? A tiny amount of money spent and THIS is supposed to what swayed people to vote Trump. Are people SERIOUS!?

I'm not sure what the point of this thread is, other than to manufacture another dig at Trump.
 
Whenever this somewhat inane argument comes up, I chuckle remembering one of the ex-Presidents (I forget which one now) saying his game was never better than when he was President because no matter how deep he thought his tee shots were into the woods, his ball was always sitting in a good lie out of the trees with a clear next shot when he reached it, or something along those lines.

I agree with you. But Trump Fan Nation doesn't.

I'd like to know how often Obama criticized Bush's golfing and claimed he would be too busy to golf - like Trump claimed. He may have done it but I have no recollection of it.

Trump supporters are apparently happy with his corruption and violation of the emoluments clause (much of the money is spent at his resorts) because he's championing other 'causes' that are close to their hearts.
