Trump Has Spent $115 Million on Golf Trips - Or 287 Years of Presidential Salary

Actually, I was just trying to make a joke. But, there is a point you are making about racism and golfing. I don't see it here in NY. There are plenty of African Americans who take to the golf courses here without anyone batting an eye.

Jordan, specifically, was scorned by racist private golf clubs. It was an example of wealth (and fame and universal adoration) not making escape from racism possible.

Your quip was unknowingly in that vein. "Even Jordan can't wear golf clothing." That became "even the President can't golf".

Make no mistake. That narrative drove the criticism.

That was very interesting. Can you point out where it covers the Money being paid actually being paid to the President?

Also, can you highlight the weekends that Trump paid the costs himself? Thanks in advance.

The policy states the occasions pretty clearly.

It seems incumbent on the accuser to prove the basis of the accusation. At least, that's the way it used to work in our system before the Democrat-Socialists took control.

Lynch mobs run by Democrat-Socialists seem to be able to operate just fine with no evidence whatever.

Seems to be habit forming.

As a Trump voter, I wish he would golf every single day.

The Congress needs to convene for about 4 days each year to vote on a budget.

I suppose in actuality, that is about how much time they actually work. Still haven't voted on a budget.

Go figure.

So, then, ALL presidents play golf?

Alrighty, then!

Presenting facts to Democrat-Socialists is like presenting a cross to a vampire.

They run in the opposite direction. ;)
That's irony, coming from the party that still thinks cutting taxes increases government revenue; the party that still believe man-made climate change is a hoax; the party that, in a recent poll, thinks that Trump is a better president than Lincoln; the party who a large percentage of members falsely believed then-President Obama to be a Muslim; who a large number of Republicans falsely believed that Hillary Clinton was connected to a child sex trafficking ring run out of the basement of a pizzeria in Washington, D.C.; and who accept as facts the 14,000 and growing number of lies that Trump tells them.

Then, don't you think the president would be happy to provide the records from his bank account(s) showing us that he personally paid all the costs of his golfing days?

How do they come up with those numbers? I imafgine they take the salaries of those who are with him and figure that as "extra" costs? amirite?

In checking this article which of course has a hyperbolic headline, I find the following:

were served content

What do they mean "were served content"? Did they get it for dinner?

a tiny fraction of the overall content on Facebook.

So here we just a little bit of truth that whatever this was, it was a drop in the ocean.

spent approximately $100,000 on more than 3,000 ads between June 2015 and August 2017.

This is less than George Soros gives to even one radical progressive candidate

some of the 3,000 ads also appeared on Instagram, which is owned by Facebook.

3000 ads? Does this mean they ran it 3,000 times? If so, that is nothing.

bought $4,700 worth of search and display ads, and that accounts with Russian internet addresses or using Russian currency purchased another $53,000 worth of ads.\

Again, a pea in the ocean.

Is THIS what the big hubbub is all about? this is crazy stuff. We are going nuclear over some FB and Instagram ads and we don't even get to see those ads to judge for ourselves? A tiny amount of money spent and THIS is supposed to what swayed people to vote Trump. Are people SERIOUS!?

Right in the 2nd paragraph of the link:

The other point the article is making is that the more golf trips he makes, the more he gets to bill the government for staying at his own golf resorts. It's the definition of feather bedding. I could just imagine what Republicans would be saying if Obama or Clinton charged the government for room, board and food for Secret Service agents when they stayed at the Clinton or Obama's homes.

Seriously? THIS is what people are saying? His hotel makes money that he would have made regardless?

Yes, all Presidents seem to have played golf. What does that have to do with Trump and his fans attacking Obama for spending a fraction of what Trump spends?

Trump was not criticized for golfing. He was criticized for his hypocrisy.

Yes, Trump was a hypocrite. Yes, Obama was a hypocrite. The government spent a lot of money protecting and supporting Trump on 'personal' trips, and on many he played golf. the government spent a lot of money protecting and supporting Obama on 'personal' trips, on many of which he played golf, and on others he had other activities.

I'm not sure what the point of this thread is, other than to manufacture another dig at Trump.

Whenever this somewhat inane argument comes up, I chuckle remembering one of the ex-Presidents (I forget which one now) saying his game was never better than when he was President because no matter how deep he thought his tee shots were into the woods, his ball was always sitting in a good lie out of the trees with a clear next shot when he reached it, or something along those lines.

Obama was a hypocrite when it came to golfing?

How much did the government spend on Obama's golfing?

Yes, Obama was a hypocrite. See the previous post.

The government spent hundreds of millions on Obama's outings - be it golf, vacationing in Hawaii, or many campaign events.

Is the quantity even the most important part? The government didn't spend money at golf courses that Obama owned. Let's not lose sight of the graft for the scale.

Do we have quotes from Obama criticizing Bush for golfing?

I agree with you. But Trump Fan Nation doesn't.

I'd like to know how often Obama criticized Bush's golfing and claimed he would be too busy to golf - like Trump claimed. He may have done it but I have no recollection of it.

Black people don't complain about white people golfing. It's a racist thing.

Where did THAT come from?

Trump supporters are apparently happy with his corruption and violation of the emoluments clause (much of the money is spent at his resorts) because he's championing other 'causes' that are close to their hearts.

Biden blames staff, says nobody ‘warned’ him son’s Ukraine job could raise conflict | Fox News

Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed in a new interview that when his son Hunter was a board member of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings while he was in office, no one informed him that it could pose a problem.

"Nobody warned me about a potential conflict of interest. Nobody warned me about that," Biden told NPR in a story posted Monday.

State Department official George Kent addressed this during his testimony as part of the impeachment inquiry of President Trump, acknowledging that he told staff members there was concern over the appearance of a conflict of interest, but that no one told the vice president because his older son Beau was suffering from what was ultimately a fatal battle with brain cancer.

If Biden could not see the conflict of interest himself he is way too stupid to be President.

Oh the irony
