Trump displays altered weather map showing Dorian could have hit Alabama

all the crooked, illegal, and unconstitutional things he's been doing .

And yet you persist in failing to name even one of your assertions with any specificity or evidence.

On the other hand.....[h=1]The List Of CNN’s Bungled Reporting Is A Sight To Behold[/h]CNN retracted a story in June of 2017 claiming that former Trump adviser Anthony Scaramucci was under investigation by Congress for his alleged ties to Russia.

CNN reported in December of 2017 that Donald Trump Jr. received special access to documents stolen by WikiLeaks on Sept. 4, 2016. However, Donald Trump Jr. actually was emailed about the documents on Sept. 14, 2016 — a day after they were already available to the general public.

CNN updated the report but still has not explained how two sources managed to give them the wrong date on the email.

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said during a congressional hearing in May that three intelligence agencies — the CIA, NSA and the FBI — concluded that Russia interfered with the 2016 election.
Nonetheless, CNN has repeatedly claimed that all 17 intelligence agencies came to the same conclusion about Russian meddling. CNN’s claim is pure nonsense, as the Department of Energy, Department of the Treasury, and Drug Enforcement Agency, among others, would have no authority to make any assertions about Russian meddling in elections.

On June 6, 2017, CNN reported that former FBI director James Comey would contradict President Donald Trump’s claim that he was not under investigation.
When the time came for Comey to release his opening statement for his congressional testimony, he actually ended up confirming Trump’s account.

and on and on ad infinitum........

With respect to the DOJ sending out e-mails containing links to white nationalist websites, this is something that actually happened, and for which there are hundreds of copies of the same e-mail.

With respect to the article about Mulvaney and the NOAA the original article cited 3 sources.

This reporting was later followed up with additional confirmation to other news outlets:

Mick Mulvaney instructed Wilbur Ross to pressure NOAA to disavow Alabama tweet: New York Times - CNNPolitics

Also, the NOAA Chief Scientist has now launched an internal investigation into whether NOAA's actions in support of Trump's false claims

NOAA Chief Scientist Says Move To Contradict Agency And Back Trump Was 'Political' : NPR

I think it's safe to say we can put this in the category of "probably happened", rather than "fake news".

But, if you want to continue believing the word of someone who has no qualms about lying to your face, as is the case with this weather forecast map, and is on record for lying or exaggerating more than 10,000 times since he took office, have at it.

Yes... more allegation. To back up allegation... to back up yet more allegation.

Anytime. As long as democrats are distracted like a dog with a squirrel out of reach, they are less focused on crapping on the porch/damaging the country.

I fully admit the image of angry childish democrats falling off the toilet amuses me.

Haha, it's only Conservatives that squat to pee!

Only a Conservative would film a child on a toilet; "Family Values" doncha know!

What has knocked so many people off their seat is that the day has finally come when Trump could not accept a weather report. It's a thing the rest of us accept each day and especially concerning hurricanes.

But Trump had to alter Nature. Dismissing CIA and all the rest of 'em just isn't enough for him any more. He needs a bigger rush.

So we saw it on tv and got the complete story of it, direct from the Oval Office. Both the entire country got it and the world too, the greatest story ever told some say.

There is a certain humor and absurdity to it as has been recorded by many here. Yet it can make many people uneasy when some others speak of Trump as a Savior, as has already been occurring. Worse perhaps is that now Trump's rowers are pulling for him harder than ever.

The democrats have the right to change policy through our political institutions.

Trump does not have the right to lie.

And if you support Trump lying in order to distract the democrats because you hate demorcats then you are not a good person and you are not a good citizen.

That's the bottom line

I don't think it's the kind of thing that would hold in court, but we don't need evidence beyond a reasonable doubt to come to a conclusion.

Also, when there is a plethora of news organizations reporting news based on more sources, and confirming what was originally reported, it's not the same thing as just one news outlet reporting based on one source.

There is a continuum of certainty. And your continuum certainty goes like this: The media is always wrong, and Trump is always right, and even if Trump is lying or wrong, because I support his policies he is still right because the policies and trolling the Democrats are more important than our institutions our Republic and the truth itself. That's the way the mind of a Trump supporter works and this thread is evidence of it. You are a member of a cult. Case closed. End of story.

The media isn't perfect, and when they make mistakes they correct them. They issue corrections and retractions. I never claimed the media to be perfect. There is not a darn thing that Trump has ever corrected or retracted.
My problem with Trump isn't that he is incorrect, or fallible, or has a tendency to make mistakes. Every single human being is imperfect. However, it is not okay to habitually lie. That is what psychopaths do. We don't tolerate it from other people, we shouldn't tolerate it from Trump.

On the whole, the things the media reports, is accurate. On the whole, the things that come out of Trump's mouth, is inaccurate.

What is clear is you don't really care if Trump speaks the truth or not. All you care about is getting back at the media and getting back at the Democrats because...why? I don't know? You don't like them? You lost your job? You don't like Mexicans? You don't think other people are entitled to an opinion? You don't like it when people say it's wrong to be a racist, mean-spirited jerk? Maybe? I don't know? Don't be a racist, mean-spirited jerk and you won't get your feelings hurt when CNN airs a segment involving the topic of racism and bigotry.

But you do care that outlets like CNN and MSNBC and NYT assume that illegal immigrants and gay people and non-white people as if they were human beings with equal rights.

You do care that outlets like CNN and MSNBC and NYT ASSUME that even Democrats have the same rights to participate in our legal and political processes as you do.

And part of this right entails their political opponents not lying through their teeth at every chance they get to pursue their agenda. There are lines that should not be crossed, and lying is one of them.

And if you can't hold Trump to the same standard you hold members of your family, members of your community, your friends and co-workers, then you cannot participate in our government. As far as I'm concerned. Your conduct and the conduct of Trump and the conduct of his mean-spirited supporters should not in any way be tolerated. Why? You are destroying our Republic. Knock it off. And if you don't like Democratic Party policies, then VOTE. Then participate and engage with the system as the founding fathers intended.

I doubt they would admit to building their newsroom around a two year Russian collusion hoax had they realized they were being fully recorded.

No need for perfect. Not lying and injecting their progressive narrative is enough.

What is "It"? You have still not clarified. More generalized accusations. I at least, have been quite specific with a laundry list of retractions after being caught and called out. Most of these accusations are akin to a drive by where the damage is done and the rest of us are left to deal with the aftermath.

Perhaps you have been in a coma the last few years of 24x7 Russian hoax coverage.

The media breathlessly accusing innocent children waiting for their bus of heinous acts and instigate death threats to them and their school.

Now that their two-year Russia Collusion Hoax has been exposed, CNN and MSNBC are hemorrhaging a massive number of viewers.

It all falls apart: Kavanaugh accusers recant and are exposed for history of lies and “psycho” behavior

They have no interest in any of groups beyond what they can use them for.

Mean spirited? Like the above subjecting children to death threats? Like shooting people when they are playing baseball? Like assaulting them for speaking? Like adults assaulting children for their clothing? You appear proud of taking advantage of those unable to defend themselves in your sig.

What has knocked so many people off their seat is that the day has finally come when Trump could not accept a weather report. .

Or Democrats an election.

It happened once before.

American Civil War

began April 12, 1861
ended May 9, 1865
Result: Union Victory

Sometimes..When they get caught. In many cases the false narrative is planned and executed as such.

Dean Baquet grapples with a restive staff and outside scrutiny.

I doubt they would admit to building their newsroom around a two year Russian collusion hoax had they realized they were being fully recorded.

That's not what Baquet was talking about. The Russian interference in the U.S. election, Trump's campaign's suspected coordination with the Russian government, and the Mueller investigation itself, as a whole, represent a very difficult set of complex issues to write about. There are so many different things a journalist has to contend with in terms of correctly conveying the law, U.S. intelligence issues, aspects of criminal investigations, and keeping track of the various personalities involved. The Mueller investigation itself is one of the most complex and far-ranging federal criminal investigations of our lives lasting 675 days, indicting 34 people, involving 19 lawyers, involving 40 FBI agents, issuing 2,800 subpoenas, executing 500 search warrants, and with over 500 witnesses interviewed.

In order for any publication to consistently, quickly, and reliably write articles summarizing the day's news related to something like this, a great deal of infrastructure is required. They need journalists familiar with the topic, they need experts they can lean on, they need photographers, fact-checkers, lawyers, and they need journalists in specific places at specific times, and so on and so forth. It's a very difficult thing to do. So that's what Baquet was talking about when he was talking about setting up a newsroom to cover the story.

No need for perfect. Not lying and injecting their progressive narrative is enough.

I think that every publication has the obligation to print the day's news as accurately as possible. But, I do not think the New York Times has any obligation to write articles or choose articles that conform to your specific perspective. It's a big city, east coast news publication and it's just not going to cover things the same way a smalltown newspaper, deep in the bible belt would cover news stories. If you don't like hearing or reading about gay people, atheists, or illegal immigrants as if they were actual human beings then you're just going to have to get over it.

What is "It"? You have still not clarified. More generalized accusations. I at least, have been quite specific with a laundry list of retractions after being caught and called out. Most of these accusations are akin to a drive by where the damage is done and the rest of us are left to deal with the aftermath.

The "it" is the lying.

Trump is a habitual liar. The Washington Post has him on record as having lied over 10,000 times since he took office. These aren't gotcha news-media driven moments. These are Trump repeatedly lying or exaggerating about things, and in some cases, the same thing, over and over:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...as-made-false-or-misleading-claims-over-days/

Oh, wait, sorry, it's now over 12,000. Each lie or exaggeration or misleading claim meticulously cataloged and available for you to read.

Go ahead, read it, you got a lot of homework to do. Start now.

Perhaps you have been in a coma the last few years of 24x7 Russian hoax coverage.

There's been hundreds, if not thousands of news articles published about Trump and his administration since Trump fired Comey for not ending the investigation into Flynn.

There's been hundreds, if not thousands of news articles published about Trump and his administration since the Trump Tower meeting was reported in the news and Trump lied about the purpose of the meeting.

I know the Convington type of stories means more to you than things like obstruction of justice, but Trump's activities are still news.

And I don't know if you've been in a coma for the last few years, but the media reporting on the Russian interference in our election, the Mueller investigation and the suspected involvement of Trump and his camp, have been largely accurate. What has been the big open question this whole time is why has Trump been acting so suspiciously and did he do it or not. The media is not responsible for Trump's suspicious behavior.

I don't agree with the way they covered this, but that doesn't make it okay for Trump to lie. For some reason, you think it does.

So what? It was an interesting news event, and that news event is now largely over.

Let me ask you something: do you think there is any aspect of the Mueller report which is not accurate?

Have you even read the Mueller report?

This is a very difficult to read and incoherent, jumbled mess of a rant.

You're going to have to summarize the article or indicate which aspect of the Kavanaugh hearings you want to talk about and then describe to me how that relates to the media lying.

They have no interest in any of groups beyond what they can use them for.

The Open Border Activists Behind the Illegal Immigrant Caravans

Incorrect. I care enough to realize that the peaceful transition of power is a critical part of the american tradition.

At this point, you're just throwing up stuff against the wall and hoping something sticks. This isn't an argument. Do you have any specific points you'd like to make?

Mean spirited? Like the above subjecting children to death threats?

Who? What? What, specifically are you talking about? Covington? The media is responsible for death threats related to Convington?

Like shooting people when they are playing baseball?

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find many people, except maybe the idiot that committed the crime, who thinks people should be shot up playing baseball.

Like assaulting them for speaking?

It's not something I support at all. I think people should be able to speak freely and wear whatever attire they want, even if it's the attire promoting a habitual liar like Trump.

You appear proud of taking advantage of those unable to defend themselves in your sig.

No, you are responsible for your own behavior. So when you or any other Trump supporter act like jerks don't be surprised when you get called out on it.

Because I've already displayed on this thread that we know his information was incorrect, which would make him wrong. I'm just not desperate enough to start claiming that he was lying as he was till correct in there being a chance.

So now you're reduced to actively lying about my own personal stances.

I was exaggerating to prove a point. I do not believe you follow this pattern of thought to such an extreme.

Because I've already displayed on this thread that we know his information was incorrect, which would make him wrong.

You know, I went back and read your old posts in this thread and that isn't quite true. You did this wishy-washy thing Trump supporters always do where if there is some slight chance Trump might be right about something, or some small, kernel of truth, it then somehow means he wasn't that inaccurate or he didn't lie that much.

You even did it in this very post I'm responding to:

as he was till correct in there being a chance.

Wtf? Just call him out without all the ifs, ands, or buts...or "stills".

It wasn't just that there was a "chance", the official forecasts did not indicate any chance of hurricane-force winds, and for only a brief moment in time, a 6 to 12 hour period, was there any indication a small portion of Alabama would receive winds in excess of 58 mph, but under 74 mph.

But that's not what I'm irritated about. I'm not irritated at the mistake. I'm irritated at the lie.

I'm just not desperate enough to start claiming that he was lying as he was till correct in there being a chance.

It's not about desperation, rather, it's about common sense. And it's not like there is no evidence he intentionally lied, it's just weak evidence, relative to a common legal or criminal law standard which we have no obligation to adhere to in the present case.

We know Trump likes sharpies, we have multiple sources from multiple outlets confirming he did it, and then threatened people to be quiet about the discrepancy. And nobody else is stupid enough or egocentric enough to draw on the weather map with a sharpie. And the press conference itself was basically an opportunity for Trump to display the defaced weather map to everyone.

Let me put it this way: I don't think Trump deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point. If somebody gets caught lying or exaggerating 12K+ times then I am not going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

How many times would you continue doing business deals with a crook that cheated you previously? Zero, right?

How many times would you take back a wife or girlfriend that cheated on you once? Zero, right?

How many times would you let an acquaintance back into your house after you discover he stole something from your house? Zero, right?

Another Costly Retraction for CNN

"CNN has once again been caught publishing a story with no basis in fact meant to make President Donald Trump look bad.

It sounds like something from a Tom Clancy novel: A U.S. mole high up in the Russian government has to be spirited out of the country before the Kremlin finds his identity and kills him – or worse yet turns him into a double agent.

The unique plot twist in this story, according to CNN, is that "President Donald Trump and his administration repeatedly mishandled classified intelligence” that contributed to exposing the spy. There is only one problem with the claim: the CIA had been trying to get this source out of Russia since the Obama administration.

Kyle Drennen of Media Research Center says here we go again.

What is it that you want to have a discussion about exactly? Pick something. We can start a new thread in the appropriate sub-forum.

Thank you for taking time away from your duties attacking children and stealing their clothes to participate.

I don't agree with assaulting or threatening people, nor do the vast majority of moderates, independents, and liberal who oppose Trump. I don't know why you think posting videos like this is helpful for your argument.

I personally think the stupidity of the Trump cult should be fought at the ballot box and in forums like, and similar forums in the real world.

Failed to name anything specific to address again.

What are you referring to exactly and how far off-topic do you want this thread to go? Maybe we should make a new thread where you can whine and complain about the media without letting this one get off-topic?

And why do you think I have to refute every single thing on every single crappy website or blog you link to? Maybe you should articulate in your own words where you think the media went wrong on some particular story?

I could just throw up a bunch of links to and insist you refute every single thing on every single website.

Democrats have so far used lies, and smear, and corruption to change policy.

This isn't something I support or agree with. I don't care who they are, no one should be doing stuff like this.

But if you really want to compare and contrast we can do that.

Let's draw up lists of corrupt acts by party, and if we do we can see it's clear that Republicans are in the lead by a long shot.

Why is some random crazy person who fabricates a rape accusation somehow the fault of the media or of Democrats?

I can't say I disagree with this, nor can I see how it helps your argument.

I was too busy to keep up on this one. I will refrain from commenting until I learn more.

Why don't we also do this. Let's also draw up a list of things the mainstream media got right about Trump?

Trump Tower is a great example of what the media got right and how Trump continually deceived people and changed his story. Let's start a new thread and start with that.

Then we can go through the list of major stories which made your hero look bad and compare them to the Mueller report, and then let's also compare what Mueller found out to the crap that slid out of Trump's mouth.

How many times would you continue doing business deals with a crook that cheated you previously? Zero, right?

How many times would you take back a wife or girlfriend that cheated on you once? Zero, right?

How many times would you let an acquaintance back into your house after you discover he stole something from your house? Zero, right?

That's a lot of ranting for very little purchase.

I can say that he was wrong, but I'm not going to lie and say that there existed no chance of the state being hit.

I'm just being factual here.

Everything else is being spread by people we don't even exist. So if me just going with the basest form of reality is upsetting, then okay. But just let this crap die already.

All of you losing your heads over him being simply wrong, is starting to wear thin.
