Trump digs in on racist tweets: ‘Many people agree with me’

WASHINGTON (AP) — Defiant in the face of widespread criticism, President Donald Trump renewed his belligerent call on Monday for four Democratic congresswomen of color to get out of the U.S. “right now,” cementing his position as the most willing U.S. leader in generations to stoke the discord that helped send him to the White House.

Content to gamble that a sizeable chunk of the electorate embraces his tweets that have been widely denounced as racist, the president made clear that he has no qualms about exploiting racial divisions once again.

“It doesn’t concern me because many people agree with me,” Trump said at the White House. “A lot of people love it, by the way.”

The episode served notice that Trump is willing to again rely on incendiary rhetoric on issues of race and immigration to preserve his political base in the leadup to the 2020 election.

COMMENT:-

This time Mr. Trump IS 100% correct - many Americans DO agree with him. They are quite on board with his suggestion that anyone who isn't white and male should not have any say in the governance of the United States of America and that they should all "go back where they came from" (regardless of whether they, and their parents, and their grandparents, and their great grandparents, and their great great grandparents were born in America).

Sad, isn't it?

Trump did not actually say no whites should participate in politics, but leftist democrats have clearly said that God, Christians and blacks who do not support black democrat racist narratives have no place in politics.

What's sad is the race card is the only card the Democrats have left.

The rest of their hand is empty, it's vacant.

Just like the space between Nancy Pelosi's ears.

Not to mention the vacuum known as Cortez...

Just because people keep crying wolf doesn’t mean there are never any actual wolves.

Trump’s tweets suggested that four American citizens who have been elected to political office by their voters, have no right to make any kind of comment about the state of US politics or government policy for the sole reason that they have non-American backgrounds. You can label that however you want but you can’t stop it from being simply wrong.

let see how consistent you are.

those 4 woman have spouted some of the most racist, anti-Semitic comments out there.
so you should condemn them yes?

Quote some of them here. If you examine every one of their complaints you'll find that they have a legitimate complaint.

I'm pretty sure he knows that. These four progressives have been in his face since they came to Washington. It's pretty common knowledge that two are Muslim, but all are women of color which is obvious of course.

I'm one of possibly only a few that watch C-SPAN and today watched as Congessman Ted Lieu who is Asian and Congesswoman Pramila Jayapal who is from India, spoke on the floor of the House as to how many times they have been told by people to 'go back to their own country'. This is something only a racist would say to someone of color.

Ted Lieu is one of the biggest knobs there is. Candace Owens tore him up!

The biggest 'knob' out there is Trump and his flaccid republican sycophants. Nobody
'tore up' Ted Lieu. Do you hate him because he's Asian or do you hate him because he was the target of racism because he's Asian?

I wonder if Trump is gonna tell this lady to go back to where she came from?

AOC 'squad' revolts: Ayanna Pressley says no more 'black faces that don’t want to be a black voice'

"This is the time to shake that table. . . . We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice,” Pressley said, seemingly taking a stab at the Congressional Black Caucus, which is allied with Pelosi. “We don’t need any more black faces that don’t want to be a black voice.”"

Need a towel to clean up?

:lamo

“Go back to where you came from” said to a brown person from New York is ****ing racist. Man up and admit it

Her skin skin being porcelain white makes that difficult.

I just hate him because he is a knob.

I don't like Adam Schiff. Do you think that's racist? I don't like Comey, Clinton, Brennan etc.

You are lying, your moniker is inappropriate. The president never said they had no right to comment. What he said was, they should get some experience first, before they comment. And he is absolutely one hundred percent right. That seems to be par for the course for the Democrats these days, they like to open their mouths without knowing what the hell they're talking about. I mean, seeing Biden on the campaign Trail is bringing back lots of old memories that way. lol

Fees for idiot freshmen are a bunch of blowhards. They're totally ignorant, they have no experience, they don't know the rules nor do they understand how to work effectively with their fellow Congress members. And yet, here they are telling the president how to do his job.

Well, if the president didn't say it, I will. Maybe they should just STFU and start doing their jobs. Congress hasn't passed an immigration bill in over 40 years, and that isn't the president's fault, it's the fault of the whining complaining liberals like Miss know-it-all from Somalia over there.

The president is right, she should get some experience actually doing what she claims as possible and morally correct, and after that I guarantee you we won't be hearing a peep out of her for a good long while.

Anyone who has stated

"go back to where you come from" is not a racist comment.

It is a racist comment in North America, used by racists against minorities, telling them to leave Canada or the US because it is not their country. It is use by those of European descent in both countries vs those of different ethnic origin. Those of Chinese ethnicity do not use it against those of European ethnicity, those of South Asian Ethnicity do not use it against those of European ethnicity, and they do not use it against those of Chinese ethnicity

So right now on DP, people saying it is not a racist comment are either racist, or just wanting to stick it to "liberals" and in doing so associate with racists

Also, this was not just a tweet coming out of nowhere. Recall when Trump talked about the"Mexican judge," even though the judge was a Latino American.

Trump's position is that if a "brown" American citizen criticizes him or his policies, that person is not part of this country, and THIS is pure racism!

Then there is the real world where the judge is white.

Experience of what? They all have at least as much political experience as he had when he became President so he isn’t in a very strong position on that basis. And why hasn’t he attacked all “inexperienced” political commentators rather than focus on these specific individuals?

Fees for idiot freshmen are a bunch of blowhards. They're totally ignorant, they have no experience, they don't know the rules nor do they understand how to work effectively with their fellow Congress members. And yet, here they are telling the president how to do his job.
I don’t disagree. That doesn’t mean what Trump wrote or the way he worded it is correct or above legitimate criticism. That’s the major irony here; He’s no better than they are.

He suggested no such thing. They have no immunity from criticism for their comments which you seem to insist upon in order for them to exercise their right.

He will likely embrace her because his comments had nothing to do with the color of anyones skin and instead had everything to do with the content of their character.

He didn't refer to any specific comments, let alone actually constructively criticise anything though. He only referred in general to their expressing opinion on "how the government should be run" (which is essentially what the job of Congress is). He clearly suggested that they shouldn't be able to express any such opinions until they'd gone "back" to other countries and fixed everything there first.

I mean, it was obviously childish rhetoric rather than a serious suggestion but that doesn't make it any better. And the whole point of that was to try to avoid going to the effort of actually criticising their specific statements, which can be and is being done by those willing and able to actually put the effort in, so your defence is somewhat ridiculous.

I just hate him because he is a knob.

I don't like Adam Schiff. Do you think that's racist? I don't like Comey, Clinton, Brennan etc.

I think you can do a lot better at expressing why you don't like Ted Lieu other than simplifying by saying 'he's a knob'. I don't need your 'laundry list' of people you don't like because as a Trumper, there's nobody in the democratic party that you like.

What else is new? Consensus doesnt equal correct. Groups of people have made terrible choices in the past. Potus is a racist piece of trash and his base are radical right Christian white identity nationalist clowns.

Perhaps you missed them the following day holding a press conference stating whatever they wanted. All the delicate flowers among us demand immunity from criticism for their speech as a neccesity to exercising their fredom of speech

Let me tell you something Miss, this Candace person - whoever she is - has a disrespectful, arrogant, and defiant attitude. She has no knowledge of why people in other countries around the world absolutely cringe when they hear the word 'nationalist' when referring to someone from the US. She has no real understanding of Nazi Germany and Adolph Hitler....absolutely zero. She just proved in front of the world what a clueless, arrogant woman she is and anyone that listens to and believes even a word that comes out of her mouth is also clueless. But, she got her 15 minutes of fame. Dismissed.
