Just as Joe Biden -- and the rest of the 11 Democratic contenders -- were rounding the final turn in the fourth presidential debate on Tuesday night, a bombshell dropped.

No, not on the stage in Westerville, Ohio. All the way back in Washington, DC, where reports detailing how much each of the candidates raised, spent and most importantly have left in the bank began to land at the Federal Election Commission.

And the bombshell was this: Joe Biden, the former vice president of the United States and the 2020 Democratic front-runner from the day he entered the race officially in the spring, ended September with less than $9 million in the bank after spending more money than he raised in the previous three months.

SIREN.

Then consider this: Biden's total cash on hand is less than all of his main rivals for the Democratic nomination, including even California Sen. Kamala Harris ($10.5 million) who has dropped precipitously in polling over recent months. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders ($33.7 million) has more than three times more left to spend than Biden, while Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren ($25.7 million) and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg ($23.4 million) have well more than double Biden's total.

DOUBLE SIREN.

Joe Biden fundraising: His worst news had nothing to do with the debate - CNNPolitics

This is alarming news for Joe Biden.
Maybe he can borrow a few bucks from Hunter... ;)

alarming news for Joe Biden.

Whew, is that all ???? Coming from you I figured it would be a rabid right 'news' source claiming tRump praised Biden as the best of the Dems.... THAT would be the kiss of death.... ;)

I understand the tRump worshippers fear Biden but I believe whoever ends up with the Dem nomination will send tRump packing and into Federal Court to face the charges Meuller was hesitant to press.... :peace

A flawless example of why you don't run lukewarm moderates against an incumbent president to try and secure independent or moderate votes. History has proven it to be a bad strategy.

Nobody really LOVES Joe Biden. Everyone likes him, but they don't love him. So if he's the nominee most people will vote for him, but they're not going to donate their hard earned money in support of him. The people who support Elisabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders love the guy. They'll knock on doors for them. They'll show up at rallies, make phone calls, and go the extra mile to get them elected.

When it comes down to it that type of ground game is still very important when it comes to winning elections.

I say let's wait on it. As long as Republicans think he's the front runner they'll continue to waste their time and energy on him. Hell Trump himself is likely going to get himself impeached just trying to fight off this candidate that he likely won't even end up facing in the actual election.

Many in the Democratic party have got to be concerned with Biden sinking. It's really bad when someone like Yang beats Biden in fundraising. Biden whatever you think of him has strong support among Black voters. Warren and Buttigieg both are struggling with the Black vote. A Democrat can not win without the support of Black voters. Wall Street who have always been big supporters of Democrats dislikes Warren and Sanders over their far left policies. But Sanders has the support from AOC and the Squad.

I will not be surprised to see someone else enter this primary if Biden continues to spiral downward. Bloomberg who could self fund his campaign has been making noises about entering. Even Hillary has been hinting at it.

It might be best for the Dems if Biden goes away.

They should keep him around until Christmas to distract the conservatives. Then they can start a rumor that Hillary and AOC might get gay married. That'll have them apoplectic at least for another 6 months.

Oh, wouldn't that be fun?

The Karma would be so elegant......

Yes, please run a true progressive, not a moderate. History has proven that to be a good strategy as evidenced by McGovern, Mondale, Nader, Henry Wallace, etc.

Umm.. not sure what you think you're talking about here none of those people were particularly extreme in any way shape or form. Nader isn't even a Democrat.

Sorry, is Comrade Sanders the new leftist standard now in the US?

Nah, not Hunter. He needs to follow in Trump's footsteps, and start stealing money from charity and kids with cancer.

I think this would be the best way to attract some of Trump's Evangelical base. They will see it as a smart business move, just like they do for Trump. ;)

Maybe he should have run illegal tax scams for years, just like your lord and savior twump.

Or steal money earmarked for children with cancer. That has been a profitable endeavour for Trump.

Definitely. Four more years of the mango clown for the world to laugh at.

That is mostly (if not totally) dependent on the DNC alternative candidate offered in the 2020 POTUS election.

You would think so, but who knows. Putin is going to have his say before this is all said and done, it paid off extremely well for him last time.

An American POTUS telling the world to put their trust in Russia, and not the USA. I bet you never thought you would see that day. And I bet you never thought you would see the day where it not only happened, but Republicans and Conservatives supported it.

No one in their right mind would believe something so ridiculous.

The contest in 2016 was Trump vs. a "centrist" demorat and Trump won. With that in mind, and a general feeling that Trump would lose to any demorat being put forth by the MSM, I think that a "leftist" demorat (probably Warren) will be who Trump faces in 2020. IMHO, that will fail to motivate the independents into taking the gamble for such a drastic change.
