The Serena and McEnroe Kerfuffle

Gee Henrin, being one of the fifty best tennis players in the world isn't considered "top of the world" talent in your fantasy world?

Top fifty man at some point his career v. two top five ever women.

Do you have a point yet?

You realize that these ladies were trying to back up their claim they could beat any man in the world, right? You realize that when they lost to the guy that they never ran their mouth about that little issue of theirs again, right? Do you know why? Maybe because they learned their lesson.

You do realize this was almost twenty years ago, right? In case you missed it, a lot changes in twenty years.

What lesson is that? That approximately 1% of the male tennis playing population is better at tennis than they are?

Are you seriously claiming that their improved to the point they could beat the man? Funny how they're not making that claim.

Btw, their claim again was that they could beat any man in the world. You know that means they should have won, right?

How badly would you have lost? Perhaps you should learn when not to run your mouth.

In all cases involved these were highly skilled athletes, rather than random schmoes off the street.

Top fifty is pretty damn good.

All men in the world would include Federer, you know. Both of them would lose against Federer and they know it.

Because they don't pander to people like you, who are so threatened by the fact that women have proven in the past to be highly effective in certain roles(such as sniping) that you obsess over a result from twenty years ago.

I doubt we'd ever know for sure. By the way, Federer is better at tennis than approximately 99.999999% of the world, so......

So the challenge that was made to all men of the world by the William sisters is that they could beat every single man in the world at Tennis. Guess what? They lost to the first man that accepted the challenge.

Who the **** cares about sniping? So they can shot a gun a long way. Big whoop.

I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make here.

If you're arguing something like Serena Williams, now, could crack the top 50 in the men's game, you're just plain delusional.

She doesn't even think that.

I think the challenge is if she can crack the top 700. I really do not know the answer to that, but I suspect Mac was not too far off-base.

Anyone can Win on any given day; but you're not called a Nobody after consistently beating "Somebodies"

Their record speaks for itself and requires no translation.

;)

Mcenroe has a book to sell, it isn't hard to figure

If bad form leads to 23 grand slam victories, we should all have such poor form. But, if Serena played Federer of Sampras, she'd probably never even see the ball.

Serena is a gun but would struggle to get a game off Fed. At the end of the day though, she doesn't need to play them. She can end up in the final of a grand slam tournament (use Wimbledon as an example) and earn the same prize money.

For not the same amount of work.
