The right is predicting that the left will react violently if Their leader wins in 2020

Lets throw some facts into the basket, first since The charge of hate crimes was implemented, 2 out of every 3 hate crimes have been perpetrated by the right. So how has it progressed since their leader was voted into office. In 2018 there was 50 hate crime murders, none were done by the left, they were all done by the right. So tell us again about the threat of violence from the left. I predict now that we will get single actions done by the left, over riding, in their mind, these hate crime statistic facts. The violence is on the right and this violence is supported by their party. That's how they perceive this country, that's what they want for this country.

Depends on how you define a hate crime. If a white person spray paints the N word, it is a hate crime. If a black person spray paints the N word it is vandalism.

What I'm getting at, is every time there's a nut kills a bunch of people, we react out of emotion, banning this and limiting that. It never helps anything. In almost every single "mass shooting", it ends when the second gun gets there. Can you honestly say, that it wouldn't be better in those cases, if there was an armed citizen already there, in close proximity to the shooter? Shouldn't we try it? These nuts prefer unarmed victims. But fear not. It looks like Trump ready to cave.

It depends on the armed citizen. Some permit holders have stopped some mass public shootings. But it is rare to find instances of armed civilians responding to mass shooters in public spaces. Most would just shoot an innocent bystander. And with two armed citizens, they would treat each other as targets.

So, the problem is, we already do try this. It's not doing anything, but adding to the problem:

- We have an armed cop in Florida who refused to go in.

- We have a permit holder in Alabama who was killed by cops.

- We have a guy in Arizona who almost shot another civilian after that guy wrestled the gun from the actual shooter.

- We have a woman in Chicago shooting at shoplifters.

These are mere examples...and this is before we get to the idea that an OK Corral situation bodes well for bystanders. Most Permit holders in a mass shooting will simply hunker down, rather than be aggressive and risk shooting the wrong person or present himself as a target. Essentially, a mass shooting is a combat zone, and what civilian has the training or the proper mind set? Even soldiers and Marines wind up shooting civilians sometimes because the guns are everywhere and they all look the same. Throw in a few Permit holders from different directions in a civilian environment where everybody is in blue jeans, who "want to do some good," and the body count becomes potentially higher than it needs to be. Having a gun and knowing how to pull a trigger is not enough. The best thing people can do in a mass shooting is to get the hell out of there unless you are properly trained for it and damn well know exactly what you are doing and who the target is. The simple truth here about more guns is not really debatable unless you prefer to only look at isolated cases where Permit holders actually stopped a mass shooting (and wasn't killed by cops for their effort).

What strawman do you imagine?

The ADL states ANTIFA is a combination of leftists and anarchists. Is the ADL lying?

Most antifa come from the anarchist movement or from the far left, though since the 2016 presidential election, some people with more mainstream political backgrounds have also joined their ranks.
Who are Antifa?

The more mainstream are often carrying the three arrows symbol which represented a coalition of parties that opposed the nazi regime. Just adding a little tidbit.

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Obama was elected in 2008, some pi$$ed and moaned, Trump threw a temper tantrum, and that was it . Not only that, Obama was re elected. And, the usual suspects pi$$ed and moaned, and then...…..that was it. Now, in 2016, Trump was elected, and...……..Well, compare it to Obama's election. If we go by that, if Trump wins, there will be windows breaking, streets shut down, fires set you know the drill.

A campaign of dehumanization is well not exactly just pissing and moaning. Faux news was especially crazy.

Well then, you're not seeing it, I've seen it and the media is not catching up to the reality that plenty of people have seen it.
One thing troubles me however...

(Anti-First amendment thugs)

Are Antifa "anti-first amendment thugs" because they won't let people march around with swastikas?
Is marching around with a swastika free speech? I suppose it is, isn't it?
What about marching around with a swastika and advocating for setting up a new set of ovens and rounding up all the niggers, faggots and jews?
Is that free speech?
How about ISIS? Is marching around with an ISIS flag considered free speech as well?
Are you willing to defend them, too...the way you're defending those very fine people with the swastikas?

Last but not least, has any of the Antifa "street theater" done ANYTHING to reduce the neo-Nazi presence in this country?
I happen to think they might be the greatest recruiting tool the Nazis could ever DREAM OF.

But hey, it's your right and prerogative to pretend that I am an Antifa supporter by way of throwing a link to a couple of op-eds that complain that the media isn't accurate WRT Antifa. I guess that makes me an Antifa supporter?

I guess, in your book, apparently :lamo

PS: Nowhere in the news clip did that lady (Haaland) ever utter the phrase: "Antifa are peaceful protesters".

Stopped Richard spencer’s college extortion tour, scared off many people from unite the right 2 by making a really big showing, etc. i dont think they are getting as many recruits to show up. Besides the fact that the government is actively curtailing efforts to stop white supremacist militias and terror networks, they seem to be doing better.

Because pendulum swings like those are, in reality, just trading one kind of extreme authoritarianism for another.
My oldest brother started out in high school as a member of The Newman Club, circa 1962.
The Newman Club was a very strict conservative Catholic fellowship.
Three years later he's at American University in DC, a supporter of The Weather Underground as well as being a registered member of the Socialist Workers Party.

Then later, at the University of Maryland (he got flunked out of AU - ZERO attendance at classes) he became a member of the Students for a Democratic Society. (SDS) Fast forward ten years and suddenly he's "been saved" and he's a raging far Right guy listening to AM hate radio and by the time Obama got elected he's talking about how it's time for a coup d'etat and about "how important our militias are."
No, not the official state militias...

OUR militias? I didn't donate to them, I am not a member of them, I don't support their views and I didn't vote for them, and besides, they would probably shoot me as much as look at me, so how the Hell are they OUR militias? That's all I wanna know...but that's my brother for you.
I still love the guy but when it comes to politics, he's a kook, an Alex Jones listening, Jade Helm believing conspiracy nutter.

So...there's a living breathing example of the pendulum swing. And right alongside my brother were equally radical ultra-Lefties of his time period, like Elliot Abrams, Paul Wolfowitz, Joshua Muravchik, pretty much most if not all of the old neocon core that served Bush 43. Most of them started out as starry-eyed foaming at the mouth chic campus lefty radicals, and they left that un-reality and traded it for an alternate un-reality.
They took their leftist fanaticism with them but along the way they clicked off all the righty-tighty boxes and just used the old Alinskyite agitprop tricks they learned as lefties and applied them to their new cause.

Indeed, plenty of dyed in the wool born and raised traditional conservatives (ones who never meddled with leftism in their youth) arched their eyebrows at their almost "Wilsonian" eagerness for interventionism on a global scale.
And Wolfowitz and Bolton slapped together the working prototype: Iraq.

Never mind that "neo-conservative" is a contradiction in terms. A thing cannot be "neo" AND "conservative" at the same time.
It is etymologically, linguistically and metaphorically impossible, like Orwellian Doublethink.

There is some truth to that. As Christian Picciolini even said many extremists tend to hop from one extreme to another. Lots of these white supremacists used to be tankies who just covered themselves up in the aesthetic but what they look for is their strong man leader. Their former beliefs were likely just a club to them.

The terrorist watchlist itself is shrouded in secrecy. The FBI manages several watch lists, including the “No Fly” list of some 64,000 names, and a so-called “Selectee” list of 24,000 names. The Terrorist Screening Database or TSDB is the central terrorist watchlist consolidated by the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center and used by multiple agencies to compile their specific watchlists and for screening. The National Counterterrorism Center, which defined an eligible person for the Selectee list negatively as someone “who does not meet the criteria for inclusion on the No Fly list and who “is a member of a foreign or domestic terrorist organization…and is associated with terrorist activity…unless information exists that demonstrates that the application of secondary screening to such a person is not necessary, in which case such persons may be excluded from the Selectee list.”

So a list “shrouded in secrecy” and apparently no way to contest it is the standard you wish to use to take away someone’s rights. Should we use the same standard to remove other rights, like maybe freedom to worship, or the right to be represented by an attorney?

The idea of taking away someone’s rights without even a bare minimum of due process is absolutely disgusting.

Seriously, are you challenging the methods of US intelligence agencies as to how they gather their information? LMAO!! "shrouded in secrecy" OMG.........:lamo :2rofll:

?!?!?!?....

So...1 out of 3? Isn't this what jbander implied when he stated that 2 out of every 3 came from the Right? Doesn't that leave your 1? I don't know if this is a fact (seems right), but you merely complimented and validated his statement. At least his point.

You are too eager to defend your political position to realize what you are defending. By taking offense and rushing to defend, you place yourself in with the crap. It's the same thing Conservatives did with "deplorable." Don't even bother acknowledging that this involved neo-Nazis and supremacists in the crowd as Trump ridiculed women, the handicapped, and military POWs. Conservatives everywhere decided that they too were deplorable, thereby defending the crap.

And it is this default to defend that encapsulates so many here who refuse to separate truth from BS.
I called that in the original thread-my quote"I predict now that we will get single actions done by the left, over riding, in their mind, these hate crime statistic facts." It's pretty easy now to figure out their clown act.

Someone posted this a while ago, but I think it's appropriate to re-post it here.

Just a little reality check...

The Right are not the victims they claim to be.

Remember, these are the same people who claim that a war was being conducted against them because of the color of a Starbucks cup.... :lamo

That is a lie as well. Your invented definition of right and false definition of terrorism makes your numbers a lie.
Of course my facts are a lie because my facts don't go along with your opinion. Like I said I welcome facts that say that what I said is not correct, so with that invitation again prove that I'm wrong. So what is it this time who screwing with bad numbers for your hate group.is it the far far left, the media , the communist, the underground democrats that my charts came from , just wondering.

Bull**** hotrod.

Maybe you're forgetting the riots that happened in parts of the USA throughout the last 50 years and none of them were instigated by conservatives or white people for that matter. The Los Angeles riots in 1992 were started by black liberals in reaction to the acquittal of police officers involved in the Rodney King matter.

I wouldn't put it past some extremists on the left to riot if Trump is re-elected. There were already quite a few violent protests after he was declared the winner in 2016.
No I didn't I made it totally clear that 1/3 of this **** is done by the left. Your make believe imagination is getting ahead of you. I stand by my numbers , Talk your way around the grossest fact that I've ever read and that is the fact that in 2018 50 people were killed in hate crimes, none by the left all of them by you haters.

If Trump loses in 2020 I expect him to claim that the Democrats stole the election and that he will refuse to leave office. He has always chafed under the constraints of the Constitution. If this happens it will be interesting to see how his supporters respond.

I have not seen polls on the topic, but I believe that most in the military and most in the police force support Trump. If the military and the police support Trump's coup it will probably succeed. Trump's male civilian supporters nearly all own guns. Most have served in the military.

Oh also something i and the many counter demonstrators who came to protest the klan that were villified by every “if you punch a nazi that makes you a fascist too” moaner. Actually doing everything that these same people wanted to be done (peaceful protesting) was done to counter the klan rally yet still the vilification continued. We actually stole the spotlight for something more positive.

If it’s to be used to ignore due process in order to unconstitutionally remove someone’s rights? You’re damn right I am. The better question is, why do you support such a grotesque scheme?

Nope ...you're still wrong!
The FFL-SOT....formerly known as a Class 3 weapons permit...requires all that I said...how do I know??? I have one!
And yes...if you are going to own class 3 weapons...those are the hoops you have to jump through.

And If you bothered to read the National Firearms act....you'd know that short of this permit......nobody can own assault weapons

Class 4??? that's bombs, military jets, dynamite, rocket launchers...that sort of thing.....
Don't believe you , it was never called a class 3 license actually its a FLL license and that license is to sell weapons, you never sat down and talked to the FBI agent as you said , because that doesn't happen and your massive cost you told to us is hardly massive at 200 or 250 dollars and filling out the paper work is easy. , that is if you know who you are and where you live, maybe that was made it so hard for you. ,your bull****ing and everyone knows it.

And Richard Nixon established the EPA. Your point? Also there is such a thing as eco fascism and the nazis started many ecological campaigns.
