The November Election is going to be a disaster.

Yip that was because republicans took our governor to court to mess up the election.

There was no time to get the ballots out.

What do you think bad more of an effect on the election only five of 188 polling locations open In liberal Milwaukee, or 6,000 mail in ballots that did not get mailed in time, or the over twenty people who picked up the virus at the polls???

When is Canada going force every citizen to vote by mail in national elections?

In Australia voting is required by law.

In USA everyone can mail the letter or not and now the postal ballot or not.

It's up to the individual voter. You've gone so far afield you got lost in your own corn.

Does Australia use 100% mail-in voting?

You need to be fact slapped to talk about the United States election in November, Putin, Trump and You Who Are Their Rowers.

And how you Rowers are trying to force postal ballot elections on all 50 states that not all states are prepared for. Then predicting disaster.

So you need to be reminded that a botched election in November will see Trump removed and dismissed by Constitutional means of one way or the other. Accordingly, you can enter this whirlwind and be excited about it at your own risk. Cause you and the vast majority of Rowers know Putin Trump are going to lose in November -- provided the election does occur. If it doesn't occur or if you botch it as you predict, you lose anyway and big time. Because while the armed forces with civilians joined in a common cause will never act to destroy democracy, they will act to restore democracy lost.

No one from the "alt right" is running., so no.

But the great majority of the candidates that alt right loves and supports, including The Donald, will lose, so yes.

What's difficult about following the process? Is it harder for Dims to do it than R's? What's so freaking difficult about doing what you need to do? BOTH sides have the same requirements, or are you saying D's are too stupid to do what they need to do to vote?

Because Republicans will shut down polling places, purge the rolls, and make mail in voting difficult as much as they can. This is because they like to suppress the vote.

I live in Wisconsin I am well aware of how republicans ****ed up our election.

Backfired on them tho as Democrats came out in full force and kicked an Americans for prosperity supreme Court Justice got kicked off the bench...

Good work.

Great work in fact so congratulations on braving the polls during CV19.

You guys in Wisconsin are dedicated patriots of the highest order. Your example helps to set the pace of recovery from the malevolent effect of enemies of the United States foreign and domestic -- both in this instance. Their days are numbered.

While we are still in the midst of what is becoming a nearly meaningless primary season, the General Election is only 6 months away. It is going to be an unmitigated disaster if we don't act soon. And, we're not going to act soon. While Support Grows for Voting by Mail During Health Crisis (VoA), Few States Are Prepared To Switch To Voting By Mail. That Could Make For A Messy Election. (FiveThirtyEight). It is estimated that switching the Presidential General Election to all-mail voting would cost $1.4 Billion. But money isn't the only object. There is the partisan nature of election security - Republicans, for some reason, are dead set against mail-in voting and are opposing it all over. "In reality, most studies have shown that mail voting does not advantage either party, and voter fraud is extremely rare, both in person and by mail."

But the larger problem is the lead time it requires to prepare for an election. Most States simply don't have the infrastructure to put together an all-mail election the size and scope of a Presidential. ("A full 29 states (plus D.C.) sent ballots to fewer than 10 percent of their registered voters in 2018.") Some States don't even print ballots, relying on electronic voting machines nearly exclusively (talk about lack of election security!). And then, there are the people and machines required to count those ballots.

This is a major lift, will require federal support, and a complete revamping of the majority of jurisdictions. "The U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s recommended timeline to expand the use of vote-by-mail starts in the first week of April — which was, of course, four weeks ago.' I'm sure most of us are familiar with the term "planned obsolescence". This is looking like "planned disaster".

If you are that terrified of voting, request an absentee ballot Is there nothing you libs dont whine about?

I don't see why this is all such a big deal.

1. It's okay for a thousand people to be in Walmart at the same time if they maintain distance and wear a mask...and not all do. (but it's still okay) So why wouldn't it be okay for people to vote at the poll with the same precautions?

2. We already have millions of citizens who don't vote. Who cares if some more people decide not to vote because of virus fears? The election will still be valid.

3. Mail in voting is a good idea. It works well...at least, in Colorado. But I agree that it's probably too late to set it up in states that don't already have it. Maybe they should think about setting it up in the future, eh?

I consider that article to be much ado about nothing. Fear mongering. (maybe setting up arguments if someone's side loses)

There are some states who have stated that a fear of covid isn't a good enough reason for an absentee ballot.
