Because despite the claims from Stalin fanboys, Germans very clearly were desperate to reach territory controlled by the Western allies.

Mainly because, despite what you claim, the vast majority of American troops did not torture and murder random civilians or approve of such actions.

Seriously, are you seriously trying to argue there was even a remote equivalence between the Red Army and the Western Allies?

Because that isn’t just factually incorrect, it’s incredibly historically ignorant.

Yes, your celebration of war crimes and borderline incoherent arguments would both suggest that you "don't give a poop".

Sounds like you are making the argument that the only difference was that "Russian soldiers didn't have candy bars and cigarettes to buy what they wanted".

I could point out a laundry list of flaws with your premise, but you don't seem capable of grasping them.

I am breaking in here; “mind if I cut in?” My mother was employed in post war Berlin in 1945. She used to recount to me that the Russian troops were amazed when they found porcelain conveniences in most dwellings. According to her observations, the crappers were pulled from the floor or wall and packed onto trucks/trains heading east........magic terlets, apologies to Archie Bunker!
