The butt whacker turns out to be a youth minister and scout leader

Fortunately, these older gays are being drummed out of the priesthood. And this IS the third-world. They lag behind the US churches in taking measures. But they're making progress.

More excuses for CATHOLIC clergy child abuse? Keep 'em coming and keep digging that hole. Argentina, old chum, is not the 'third world'.

A movement intended to reinforce women’s body autonomy and encourage positive consent is “Marxist”? Does that mean Capitalism views women as property who can be violated by any man at any time?

Nobody violated anybody. Red herring.

The law disagrees with you. Suck it up or start a campaign to allow abusers carte blanche to assault women with no consequences. That's what you want isn't it? What other reason do you have for condoning his actions, because that's exactly what you are tacitly doing.

If only the left were as exercised over Weinstein, Epstein and Cosby as they are about this clod.

Being caught up in the moment does excuse his behavior to a large degree. The sexual assault claim is inapplicable, because he didn't commit sexual assault. Need I say it again?

I bet you’d disagree if a big smelly guy patted you on the ass.

I played college football. Lots of big smelly guys patted me on the ass. i was fine with it. In fact I took it as a compliment. Again, context.

He committed regular old assault and battery. Why do you believe violating consent and slapping strangers is okay just because of “the moment”? Why weren’t their mass slapping of the reporter’s butt by many runners if that is what “the moment” called for?

Throwing milkshakes on people IS premeditated intentional malice. This guy just playfully swatted whoever he happened to pass in a moment of exuberance. No biggie.

Yeah, I figured you’d have a hypocritical stance when a Conservative was the victim rather than a woman.

Yes they absolutely did. The runner violated the reporter’s body autonomy by touching, or rather slapping her something considerably more wrong, without her consent.

But I guess that’s just the Capitalist way. Consent is apparently “Marxist”.

Hitting someone is assault. There is video evidence that he hit the reporter. That is assault. You can not make that fact go away.

And no, being caught up in the moment does not excuse assault or any other crime. After losing a soccer match people rioted and burned cars, they were not excuse from their actions because they "were caught up in the moment"

They are. You get most of Weinstein’s accusers are hyperliberal women from Hollywood and that Epstein was given his sweetheart deal by a conservative who is now part of Trump’s administration, right?

"It's better to keep one's mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and have all doubt removed". I paraphrase, but the poster in question really should take note.

- The coverage in the media.
- The ban was appropriate. He should apologize. (end of story)
- The reporter should move on from her 15 minutes of fame. If the apology from the guy is meaningful, accept it and move on.

Your turn to answer your question you had for me.

Only certain groups of people constantly blame the media; usually those who support Trump and those who don’t understand media is a corporate business and all good corporations provide their customers what they want. In the US that’s mostly sex, violence and controversy. It’s why we all see the Kardashian’s on CNN but not on CNN International. It’s why Fox and MSNBC are niche “newz” channels favoring an audience with a particular POV. While hard news still exists, what we primarily have are “Infomation” shows with about 5 minutes of news and 55 minutes of commentary. Hannity, Coumo, Maddox and the like are such shows. At least Bill O’Reilly was honest enough to admit he wasn’t a “journalist” but Coumo and Hannity stick to that fiction.

He committed a crime. It’s up to the woman who was assaulted to determine whether or not to press charges. I think she should just to see him plead out to avoid trial which he’d probably lose since it’s all on video tape unlike the accusations against people like Weinstein, Clinton and Trump who were behind closed doors with only a “he said/she said” case.

This isn’t about a woman’s 15 minutes of fame. It’s about justice. I play by Chicago rules; “if he brings a knife, I bring a gun. If he puts one of mine in the hospital, I’ll put one of his in the morgue..”. In this case, she should break his hand, but since that isn’t allowed, court is her best option. She has a case and she’ll win it due to the evidence. He should plead out and salvage what he can.

One dead, one sentenced, and one being prosecuted. Seems that they have or are being dealt with, just as this guy should be dealt with under the law.

Were the reporter and the runner on a football team together? No, they were strangers. Again, context.

Weinstein was an open secret in Hollywood for years and nobody said a word. He had people like Hillary Clinton protecting him as Ronan Farrow has shown It took like 35 women to come out about Cosby before liberals grudgingly admitted he's a serial rapist. Yet, they gleefully glommed onto the absurd lies about Kavanaugh with gusto.

Did conservatives say anything about Weinstein or Cosby? Or are there no conservatives in Hollywood?

There are very few conservatives and most of them stay under the radar knowing the complete intolerance of the left.

Epstein was known by conservatives like Trump as many as 20 years ago that he preferred “young women”. Many of those Conservatives even flew on his “Lolita Express”, including Trump. Yet none of them said anything about it, a Conservative who’s now part of Trump’s administration gave Epstein a sweetheart deal that also sealed any co-conspirators in his sex trafficking and rape of underage girls from prosecution.

It took the supposedly unjust left wing Southern District of NY to finally indict him on real charges.

Any Trump interactions with Epstein pale compared to what we know about Clinton's. I have nowhere defended the guy who gave Epstein his deal, either.
