The 2018 Major Leage Baseball Thread

Jacob DeGrom will look good in pinstripes!

Mets do not want to trade him at all, let alone to the Yankees. And the Yankees sure as hell don't want to trade any prospects to the Mets.

Why is that? The Yankees/Mets aren’t really rivals, at least not to fans outside of some in NY.

Couldn't dump Forsythe on the Orioles. Too bad.

As an Orioles fan, I’m indifferent. Of course I knew Machado would be traded. As far as the prospects, who knows? They’re prospects. Sometimes prospects work out, sometimes they don’t. Nothing exciting or sad really.

You should have gotten one of their catchers, MLB or from their talented minors.

Meh, catchers don’t seem to be good trade chips. Even the best ones only tend to last a year or two until they’re just average or below average.

Not Grandal; nor the #1 catching prospect — he’s the real deal — they’re loaded across their minors

I get that as prospects they’re great. But Matt Wieters, as a prospect, was promoted to be Joe Mauer meets Barry Bonds. He never reached anywhere close to either.

I’d stay away from trading for catcher prospects.

You never get hurt when trading with the Dodgers, especially their farm system. Look at how they gave away that backup shortstop to Atlanta.

Lol. No.

They drafted and still have Lonzo. That alone suggests LaVar has more power on the Lakers’ moves than Magic.
