The only reason the National Anthem was played at baseball games was because of WW2. As time past it was adopted for all sports. I think its time to do away with it. Problem solved.

And, I object more to the author's support of slavery more than that verse - while I disagree with the verse, it was written about slaves who were fighting against the US, making it more about that than their race - it says 'slaves and hirelings' as I recall, referring equally to hired mercenaries.

Good for Ted Cruz...THAT attitude is why I supported him in 2016 (rather than Trump who was a loon in the campaign, and on occasion now). Cruz has been very careful about his statements, nice to see him let his hair down and just vent.

I bet 99 point something percent of black deaths at the hands of police involved standard issue police equipment without any such military equipment involved. Thus neither Obama or Trumps policies had any effect whatsoever upon the issue of police overuse of force upon blacks.

I remember being shocked that mixed-Hispanic race George Zimmerman got off as completely innocent after he had shot dead the unarmed black high school junior who was heading home having gone to buy candy at a local shop. I am sure that your claim this killing had nothing to do with race needs qualification, given that Zimmerman only ever reported blacks as suspicious to the police.
