Our President is looking for our input on how he handles the media. Ask and ye shall receive, I always say.

Is that for real? That is so bizarre. So many things wrong with that. Does Trump now consider himself an expert pollster? Is he becoming unhinged? Or is one of his political operative advisors becoming unhinged?
What's wrong with the poll is:
1. Trumpers will be the main ones responding; and
2. The questions. Here's an example:"On which issues does the mainstream media do the worst job of representing Republicans? (Select as many that apply.)"
That's like asking: "Which are the worst ways CNN has killed dogs? (Select as many as apply.)" (Obviously, the question should be "Do you think the mainstream media has done a fair job of representing Republicans? If not, on which issues has it not done so?")
3. It doesn't identify "mainstream media." News organizations are different animals from political entertainment talk shows, like Hannity and Maddow.
4. It is not the job of news organizations (as distinguished from political talk shows) to "represent" any political party. News organizations report the news. And to suggest a news organization should "represent" the Dems or Repubs as to particular issues is ridiculous. So the premise of the question is false (that news organizations should be representing issues at all from any point of view).
Political talk shows may or may not represent completely both sides of an argument. For instance, the purpose of Hannity's show is to present the Republican viewpoint, while the purpose of the Rachel Maddow show is to present the Democratic Party viewpoint. Neither will completely represent and argue for the opposing side's viewpoint/position, although they may have guests that do so.
If you go on tv, Mr. President, and state a blatant lie (so blatant that people wonder if you're delusional), that will be reported, because that's news. The false statement must be reported, along with the truth, with verification of the truth. If you report that the sun broke out and shone on you when you began speaking during your inauguration, the news organizations will report that you said that, and will also report that the sun did not break out, since it didn't. That is your fault, to have your name associated with a lie, since you were the one who lied. That is not the reporter's fault.
The people have a right to know if the President is breaking from reality or if he's lying to the public.
