"Take her out": Recording of Trump at dinner talking about Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch

Re: "Take her out": Recording of Trump at dinner talking about Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch

Whether he did that or not still has no bearing on getting rid of the ambassador- he can do that anytime.

Irrelevant to the conversation and not much of a defense in this case. If he did it because she was interfering with his own self-dealing, it's evidence. Good evidence. The whole case doesn't hinge on it, but it's a solid piece of the "puzzle" for those having a hard time accepting the president totally did that $#!t.

Re: "Take her out": Recording of Trump at dinner talking about Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch

LOL, now it is the denial of witnesses that you are going to promote not the denial of the facts. Ukraine doesn't matter to the American people nor would it with you were it not for Trump

Of course it wouldn't matter, if it weren't for Trump. Nobody else would be withholding aid for personal political favors that might influence an election. Duh.

As for evidence go back over the congressional hearings. There's already enough in there except for those who will forgive Trump anything.

PS. I'll thank you to stick to the topic and not mention me. Otherwise it's not a 'political' debate. We all have our biases - or at least a political lean. It shouldn't matter.

Why don't you focus on the reality that this is nothing more than a witch hunt as Ukraine wouldn't even be an issue if it weren't something to go after Trump for? How do you explain this

REVEALED: Democrats on House Impeachment Team VOTED AGAINST the Aid Package for Ukraine They Want to Impeach Trump Over (VIDEO)

It is amazing all the witnesses the House called there was no evidence provided to support their claims thus the very flimsy articles of Impeachment. Your support for the left wing double standard is staggering. Why?

What's the double standard? That needs more explanation. Whatever whoever voted on in the house is just politics, the way it's done. We may agree or disagree with those votes - So? Personally I would have voted to give Ukraine the equipment so there's one point where I would disagree with some of the Dems on the committee. Having a hard time seeing the relevance here.

I say once again Ukraine is an issue because that's the country Trump chose to extort. If it had been Nepal or Bolivia then that's what we'd be hearing about instead. So I don't see what all the crying, "Why Ukraine?" is about. It's Trump's corruption that is the subject of the impeachment. Ukraine is just the place he did it in most recently and the case that provides the evidence.

Or to use an analogy that is ironic given Trump's choice of defense attorneys, it's like asking why everyone at the OJ trial is fixated on the front porch. Why does anyone care about the porch? We wouldn't even have heard about the porch if it weren't for the bodies left on it, so why do you care about a porch all of a sudden? It wouldn't even be an issue if it weren't for OJ. See? It's not the porch.

Ukraine is just the scene of the crime as it were.

As for evidence there is plenty: transcripts, emails, sworn testimony from the hearings. There's more too if the senate cares to listen. It's going to come out sooner or later, before the election anyway.

So we are a joke because you say so and some partisan socialist asses agree with you? Doesn't appear that the American people think this is a joke

Didn't listen to the trial yesterday did you? What is your next witch hunt going to be about?

Care to address my comment? World leaders are endlessly laughing at trump. You wanted a leader the world "respected." Hes a joke and a mockery.

It's quite sad. But then again so is cult45 generally.

The trash that passes for “news” in Trumpworld is truly depressing.

Chose to extort? Why are you believing what the left tells you when everything they tell you is either lie, out of context, or a complete distortion? It really bothers me how easy it is to indoctrinate some good people. tell me why you support what the left is doing and what your expectations are for a President since obviously economic growth, national security, job creation aren't it? you claim there was a crime committed, post the link where that crime was actually proven and why is it that

Deflections about my personal motivations and the economy or whatever aside, I don't think there exists as a single "link" that "proves" a crime was committed. The Articles of impeachment lay out a range of offenses for which there is credible evidence. The purpose of the trial is to prove or disprove those charges. Kind of like a normal court case.

For a single summary of the evidence against Trump there's this timeline. bear in mind relevant points within have links to their own sources. Wikipedia would also be a good place to start for an overview - it has 500 citations though so you'll be in for a lot of reading. Once again all these pages do is lay out the evidence. To me the evidence is credible. It's up to the Senate to prove that these amount to the two charges: abuse of power and obstruction

Didn't pay any attention to yesterday, did you? You want to believe what the left tells you, why? Why is it so important to you get remove Trump for office and are you ready for the consequences to our economy if that happens? you can't believe that the Average American cares more about Ukraine than they do about putting food on the table, a roof over their head, and clothes on their kids back

There really is nothing to prove, abuse of power isn't an impeachable offense until proven in a court of law not by partisan lying House members. Obstruction of Congress?? Didn't realize that the House WAS Congress, civics told me that the Senate was part of Congress as well and I don't recall the Senate raising that issue

Not sure what really is important to you but you choose to buy what the left tells you without seeking clarification or offering any verifiable proof. If Trump broke the Law Mueller would have made that claim and testimony from the House witnesses would have made that case, Mueller never made that claim and the House witness testimony didn't prove it either thus it isn't even in the articles.

You simply cannot admit you have been taken for a ride all because you simply hate Trump who has done nothing to hurt you, your family, or the country. You have lost this battle, get over it, put up a better candidate that will generate better results than Trump, who would that be?

Right, the Congressional record is pure trash as is the bea.gov, bls.gov, and treasury.org data. Politics of personal destruction are news in your world

World leaders how run socialist countries will do whatever suits their interest. Germany and France are both in trouble, Britain booted the liberals out of power but obviously world leader personal opinion of Trump are a lot more important to you than the results being generated in this country by the Trump economy, results that have generated a 55% approval rating on the economy.

it does appear that results don't matter to you so explain to me why Trump bothers you so much? Your double standards are on full display

As I've stated I find the evidence outlined compelling. Part of that comes from the evidence itself, the rest because Trump has shown himself to be dishonest and capable of just such offenses.

To respond to the deflection about the quality of Trump's presidency in general, I do in fact think he has done much to harm the country; though mercifully I and my family have been largely spared, many working families, farmers, businesses and industries have not been so lucky.

That you disagree is no surprise because you see Trump's presidency in a different light. That's fine, but whether you support Trump on this or I don't is not a personal flaw in either of us: it is a difference of opinion.

This discussion is about Trump's impeachment and should not be used as an excuse to attack one another on our values and intellectual faculties. I expect my fellow posters to have the maturity to respect that.

I'm not the guy who runs around deflecting from every point made to worship the president.

Look. You guys said you wanted a president who would make us respected. Trump is a laughing stock. World leaders are universally caught repeatedly mocking and making fun of him.

Hes an embarassment, and so are his cult followers.

You see what you want to see but again the question is why?? How has Trump hurt you and your family creating such hated? Ukraine is irrelevant, Trump got nothing out of the deal, no quid pro quo!

To respond to the deflection about the quality of Trump's presidency in general, I do in fact think he has done much to harm the country; though mercifully I and my family have been largely spared, many working families, farmers, businesses and industries have not been so lucky.

The results don't support your opinions which are biased and partisan and I am still trying to figure out why? Why don't you post specifics as to what families have been hurt by Trump?? African American? Unemployment more than 2% lower than what Obama left him with, GDP growth more than double what Obama left him with, Part time for economic reason employees more than 1.4 million fewer than than Obama left him with. You are just stating an opinion with no basis

That you disagree is no surprise because you see Trump's presidency in a different light. That's fine, but whether you support Trump on this or I don't is not a personal flaw in either of us: it is a difference of opinion.

My opinion is based upon official data and facts, your on personal opinion based upon biased partisan ideology

I have not attacked you personally only your opinions and biases

You claim I worship the President, Prove it!! The results don't support your hatred and I have found no value or benefit in worshiping any President. Trump has done nothing to hurt you, your family, and the country. Calling him an embarrassment is nothing more than partisan liberal rhetoric. So what if that even the case? Why is it so important that a President be liked by you and your ilk? If you cared so much about being liked then work on your own image

Re: "Take her out": Recording of Trump at dinner talking about Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch

Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire - POLITICO

The Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian ambassador worked with the DNC and the Hillary campaign to attack the Trump campaign on behalf of the Hillary campaign... do you suppose the US Ambassador, the go between for Ukraine and the US was also one of those "she isn't guilty, she is clueless!" Democrats?

Either way, she was either too incompetent or too corrupt to stay.

You're referring to the op-ed written by the Ukranian official against djt (the candidate) after djt supported the Russian position (hard to believe right?) that annexing a part of Ukraine was okay. False equivalence alert!

Re: "Take her out": Recording of Trump at dinner talking about Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch

Worse, Con is pedaling the Russian narrative that the Ukraine, not Russia, medaled in the 2016 election.

But your point is valid, writing an open op-Ed in a paper is not to the same level as the Russians using their shadow intelligence services to infiltrate our social media with anti-Hillary propaganda.

Re: "Take her out": Recording of Trump at dinner talking about Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch

How is firing an ambassador evidence in his impeachment trial?

Depends on what "getting rid of" means. What do you think Trump meant when he said to "take her out"?

Dunno and dont care what he meant by it. Its irrelevant.

Re: "Take her out": Recording of Trump at dinner talking about Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch

I agree, "take her out has an ominous organized crime vibe to it.

A few questions...do we know who Trump directed this statement to? Was it someone that had the authority to make the call to her? If he made the statement to someone that did not have that authority....it sounds really bad.

I just don't know why his such a tone. He doesn't need a reason to fire her. "Take her out". What an ass. Or worse.

The media is convinced he was telling Parnas to take her out while Parnas says-

PARNAS: Correct, correct. And his reaction was, he looked at me like he got very angry and basically turned around to John DeStefano and said, fire her.

Actually the dems theory is that Trump fired her to get her out of the way of a Ukrainian investigation of the bidens to influence the 2020 election. Except this was a full year before Biden announced his campaign. Blows a hole in their silly theory.

Re: "Take her out": Recording of Trump at dinner talking about Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch

Because he can? Seriously, there isnt a law that prevents him form doing that.

No it doesnt. Trump doesnt need a reason as to why.
But there is an expected level of plain decency to not do something like that from our politicians. Most people hold the expectations that politicians will not target others within the government to degrade wrongly, to make up crap about simply because they dont like then or worse they want complete loyalty and need to show something wrong with anyone who isnt, even if people under them, who are loyal to them are making crap up about those "disloyal".

So you don't mind when the President of the United States uses words against a subordinate that could be reasonably interpreted as ordering her to be assassinated. Got it.

I will remember this the next time someone bitches about the "violent Left." :)

Didn't you know that Hillary was going to run the minute Obama got elected for his second term?

Announcing someone is going to run is not a good test.

I thought this go around Biden, Warren, and Sanders were going to be on the ballot at least a year before they announced.

Dont be silly- "take her out" can mean a million things from take her out to dinner all the way to whacking her. But of course, you are totally partisan so you'll always pick the one that makes him look bad.
