"Supreme Court says we get a free ticket to discriminate "

Sometimes you don't know if they do or not. I get what you mean; I don't give business to places that I feel discriminate.

But I also don't go out of my way to cause scenes in businesses knowing they are opposed to me in some way, shape or form like when I would have jerks come into my store with MAGA caps on and try make outrageous claims and statements to my employees to get a rise out them so they go online and claim they were victims for wearing MAGA caps (too bad for them: my employees were well-versed in proper customer service). Backstory: I didn't realize until a few months after the fact, but the store I worked in was considered friendly to the LGBTQ community which prompted local conservatives to come to my store in efforts to cause problems. It didn't work; my employees were above it.

Millions of people own the MAGA hat. A hat does not mean they are holding to the Trump ideology though. And your store did it right. And that is great. Discrimination is an option. All do not have to discriminate.

So you oppose the constitution and would prefer mob rule?

This is where libertarianism takes an intellectual face plant. They want the rule of law enforced and the US Constitution obeyed, but just not for them.

All posts I ever read that begin with So YOU, go off the rails.

It always is followed up making outlandish claims and extreme accusations.

Since when are equal rights for others not a core idea of the US Constitution? Equal protection in public business is among those fundamental ideas. Customers arent asking to be liked but only to be treated equally? I thought that this issue was settled before I was born 50+ years ago.

Do you want to return to "whites-only" businesses or "Christian-only" businesses in the US? If people are so bigoted that they cant treat others as equals for 12 hours a day then maybe running a business is not something that they should do.

Where in the Bible did Jesus tell his followers to act in this manner if you want to claim it is a religious belief?

Do you also want to bring back slavery or would you prefer tpo rename it somthing thast is more suitable for republicansd and supposed libertarians?

I'm for equal rights,I just don't think a customer has a right to the labor/wares of another.

If that is how someone wants to run their business then so be it, the market will self correct and give opportunities to other to exploit the stupidity of those businesses.

I fail to see where Jesus and slavery are relevant in this discussion and have seen no one advocating for either slavery or theocracy, unless of course you are by bringing them up.

1.)The Law itself is force
2.) there is no choice as you must comply or face the consequences of your actions.
3.) Must of us are not wealthy enough that obeying the law is a matter of choice.

BOOM!!! more delicious dodging . . why didn't you answer any of my questions? VERY telling!

1.) based on that dishonest logic then, rape laws FORCE people to be virgins LMAO
2.) 100% factually wrong. Why post such a blatant lie that? WHo do you think it will fool? I listed some of the choices and there's more. Disagree? factually prove otherwise, you wont cause you cant.
3.) every single person in america is because wealth has ZERO to do with it

Ill ask my questions again :)

. . who forced you to open up a public access business? nobody that was a choice
. . who forced you to then ignore the rules, laws and contracts associated with that agreement? nobody that was a choice
. . who then forced you to break the law and or violate the rights of others? nobody that was a choice
. . why didnt you choose to open up a different type of business private, membership-based with rules more suited to bigotry instead of choosing to break laws, rules, contracts and or violate the rights of others?

Fact remains:
in American ZERO people are forced to do business with someone they do not wish to be associated with based on discrimination laws so there's no worries on that front.

FOCUS Just FOCUS on one point and speak to that point. Rambling all over is bad for the digestion.

If a man wearing a shirt with the Nazi symbol on it, comes to a Christian bible store or even a homosexual owned store, should the owners want to deal with them?

What do you do. Call the cops?

I disagree with public accommodation protections as I believe people should have the freedom to do what they want as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others.

thats why public accommodations laws exist to protect people's rights, all of our rights the same. illegal discrimination is a rights violation. are you from America?

1.) they do not and thats not the topic here no matter how many times yout try to make it the topic and fail
2.) agreed a person can serve or not serve whoever they want . .as long as it doesn't break the law and violate the rights of others . . the law and rules apply to us ALL nobody gets special treatment

1.) well theres goes your commitment to honesty, integrity and claims you can back up LOL
2.) in the case you described the owners do not have to serve the person with a nazi shirt and that is NOT illegal discrimination so it has no barring on the subject at hand. A nazi shirt is not a race, religion, sex etc again are you from america? do you know what equal rights even are or what anti-discrimination laws are?
3.) If the person you told to leave your store doesn't leave yes the cops should be called.

That makes sense.

Take the case of a man wearing a kind of uniform with swastika and armbands of the Nazis and he wants you to sell him guns and ammo. Should you keel over and supply him with those?

They do have the right to those wares if they are paying for it. This is the core of a market economy. How can we claim that we are a country of rights if people can find exceptions and deny others equality in basic ideas of public service?

If we allow a business to do it then what is stopping a group of people in the city to vote that their city of for whites-only, Christians-only or only certain sects of Christianity are permitted? How far back do you want to turn the clock?

Most of the people who are racist also claim that it is based on a conservative christian relgious belif.

BOOM BOOM there you go again. Accusations from you are totally meaningless so you may as well quit this crap. Can you man up and post properly?

The guy with the Nazi regalia shows up. Can you discriminate or must you service the Nazi?

You sell him what he wants to buy. They are in business to sell things with the goal of making a profit.

Should they be permitted to deny to me the right to purchase something because I am an atheist?

That is really brutal force by the Democrats who truly lack respect for the actual constitution.

George Washington and even Abe Lincoln never had to follow your rules.

You serve him, as long as he is reasonably polite.

I'm an atheist and I have designed a few renovations for churches. It's called be an adult and being professional.

You must be of the Cathy Newman style of debate.

He is required by the Colorado equal service statute to serve LGBT people equally.

He did. He doesn’t offer a same sex wedding cake to anyone. No matter their race or religion or sexual orientation.

Enforcing equal rights for all is not brutal force.

How far back do you want to turn the clock on your libertarian nirvana?

There is no such thing as an LGBT wedding cake. Feel free to prove otherwise with recipes or pictures of what a gay wedding cake is.

I am an accomplished baker with more recipe books than any one person needs and I have never seen a recipe for a gay wedding cake. Do you mind sharing this elusive recipe and how it is to be properly decorated? Thanks in advance.

Does a Nazi not deserve equal rights? Why should you be able to discriminate against them and not others?

For the record: I am not a Nazi, and of I owned a business I would likely discriminate against them myself as they are the very antithesis of every principle I hold politically. Just wanted to throw this out there before Cathy responds.

I was in a grocery store about a year ago and there was a guy in front of me at the checkout with a Klan patch on the shoulder of a jacket. Should he have been refused service, instead of just being laughed at as he walked out?

The government is the monopolization of force and every law is backed by the threat of violence, I'm not sure why that is such a hard concept to understand and I have no idea where you get the Rape laws and Virginity analogy from that.

You have a choice of whether or not you comply with the law? (In response to your #2)

As far as your questions:
Yes, it would be my choice to open a business
Who said I was ignoring the rules in said hypothetical business? I'm forced to sell my wares according to the law in order to stay in business.
How am I violating the rights of others? They do not have a right to my wares/labor.

If the owner of that business wanted to do so, I would have applauded it.

I had to google the name because I was unaware of her.

She is the one behind the "so what your saying is....." meme. It is from the Jordan Peterson interview where she tried to twist every single statement into something ridiculous.
