Socialism din't work in Sweden and it won't work here.

The more government controls commerce and industry, the less market economy you have. ALL the Democrats are wanting more control over commerce and industry.

Ignorant Drivel?, My statement "Sweden is always the country the left uses as an example that socialism works." is a true statement, not drivel as those on the left sympathetic to socialism do use Sweden as and example often.

You know you can only tax the wealthy so much and then they leave taking their business, jobs and money with them. Since 2013 France has been experiencing an exodus of their wealthy. Since 2013 France has had some serious issues at times facing bankruptcy. And the middle class doesn't care if the wealthy get taxed to oblivion until they lose their jobs they provided or when the government comes after them to pay more taxes then they raise all kinds of Hell. You see that happening in France for weeks by the yellow vest crowds outraged over the latest taxes Macron was placing on them.

Italy, Spain and Greece are also having serious financial problems. It takes a lot to keep socialism going and when those they depend on to pay for it start leaving then those on down the chain must pay. It explains why there is such a high rate of unemployment among young adults in the EU. If you have wealthy folks either leaving or after paying their taxes just can't afford to expand their businesses, jobs can get scarce. Now these countries hire a lot of government positions but until someone retires there are no openings.

And for the record anyone who has traveled to Europe knows what they consider middle class makes the middle class in the U.S. look like they are well off.

So, Jeff Bezos is going to move to the United Arab Emirates to avoid paying income tax?

And high-income taxes is not socialism. A 20% income tax is capitalism and 40% is socialism? You sound absurd and ignorant.

There's no real socialism vs capitalism debate. There are very few actual socialists advocating genuine socialism. Then there are ignorant conservatives complaining about socialism.

Actually it is ignorant drivel. Sweden is a monarchy and not a socialist country. In the least you should have looked up the meaning of socialism before doubling down on stupidity and talking points.

I’ve been to Sweden. We have Swedish friends.

None of us even recognize the country that this right wing nonsense portrays.

BTW, if Sweden is so poor, how come so many people drive very nice cars?

Sometimes you do for awhile. But after you run out of other people's money you have decline and/or perpetual stagnation at a depressed level.

The Democrats don't care about basic human rights. They want the power to dictate what rights any of us will have and only those that empower and enrich them will matter.
