I just called her office. about her comments and as a father of someone that was falsely accused of sexual assault they refused to comment on that accusations without evidence

Situation 1. Ford is right and Kavanaugh assaulted her at a teenager drinking party. What should happen to Kavanaugh?

Situation 2. Kavanaugh is correct that no assault took place. What should happen to Ford since the claim tainted his reputation.

Sit 1: He should be denied a seat on SCOTUS. That is about all that can be done. He won’t be legally held accountable now for something he did decades ago regardless of no statute of limitations since he was a minor. He can’t be sued for it either for the same reason. So denying his appointment is the most that can happen.

Sit 2: Kavanaugh could sue her in civil court. I think criminal charges could only be brought against her if she filed a false police report or lied about the incident under oath.

The woman has no dates, no locations, no witnesses, nothing which can in any way be investigated. Therefore, nothing will come of the accusation. Kavanaugh has a presumption of innocence just like everyone else. The left seems to think that the accused has to clear himself rather than the accuser having the onus of proof. That may be how totalitarian societies work but it is not supposed to be how we operate.

65 women who have worked with Kavanaugh have signed a letter attesting to his integrity and ethics. Their word should certainly count for more than the foggy recollections from someone claiming something happened in 1982. That's assuming she even knows the year it supposedly happened.

Republicans dumped thousands of documents on Democrats less than 24 hours before the hearing. They also claimed that they were confidential. When Booker called their bluff by releasing some, after throwing some threats at him, they admitted they were never confidential.

Kavanaugh is not on the judiciary committee, he had nothing to do with that.
