Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar defended asking Allah to help the world see how “evil” the actions of the nation of Israel are and how Israel has “hypnotized” the people of the world during a segment on CNN Thursday.


Hosts brought up a tweet the freshman congresswoman posted in 2012: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

“That’s really a regrettable way of expressing that. I don’t know how my comments would be offensive to Jewish-Americans...

I still fuzzy on this semantic difference. It is the term "evil" that crosses the line? Many Jews think Israels policies against the Palestinians are wrong and that is what this Congressman was expressing. Is it antisemitic to want a Palestinian State? Because many Jews do too.

Don't understand what's not clear about what I said.
Being against a policy is fine. Being in support of a Palestinian state is a position held by many Israelis, what's this to do with antisemitism? You're clearly lost in confusion.
What's clear is that the obsession against Israel is antisemitic in its nature.

Also not understanding your repeated use of Jews holding such and such views. It doesn't matter at all if a person holds an antisemitic opinion and he is Jewish or not. It's extremely racist to believe that saying "All Jews must burn" for example is fine as long as the one saying it is Jewish. It remains a rabid and vile racist expression in either case.
