Private Land Owners

The floor should be reinforced concrete. Then we can prevent escapees from finding wifi.

Prevent Escapees?

Those who escape the confines you describe will be less controllable even given the dystopian thought police supporting your dream of single dimensional thinking.

Reminds of the riddle asking which government is in charge of burying the survivors of the plane crash on the border between them.

Mankind is a territorial animal. It creates arbitrary borders when natural borders don't suffice to assure and mark its territorial claims. The size of the territory is irrelevant. In the end, man is gone, the land remains, for better or worse after man's custodianship. Walls crumble, fences fall after time passes. "Ownership" is an abstract, a creation by the mind, living in abstract constructs created by man, protected by abstract laws, and not so abstract swords. Nothing made by man is eternal, including abstract concepts. Time cures and conquers.

Even when walls serve other needs of man, shelter from the elements, hiding other wealth or behavior from others, walls remain temporary. They may remain standing for a lifetime, or many generations, and may only become minor markings in the soil after time passes, but they are temporary as are the values we attach to them.

We murder, go to war, to protect and acquire more "ownership" of land, whatever the reasons for wanting that "ownership," but we all pass and the land remains. Perhaps we should be asking if land owns us? Dictating our behavior, our temporary place in this world? Kind of like contemplating the lint in my navel.

Why did you edit away the remainder of my post and then present it as if it was the whole post?

This ALWAYS leaves me mystified.

Especially when, as in this case, the remainder of the post that was edited away pretty much agrees with what you posted.

preventing escapees is very important for the sanity of non-cultists. a lot of people are saying that, believe me.

~ Looks like the Democrats today want to decriminalize crossing into the U.S. without permission. That is tossing private property laws out the window. Your personal home/residence is next !

It seems you and I are alone in rising early.

If the person is already an "escapee", then they are no longer within your physical prison. Now you endorse a police state to prevent the free exchange of ideas and the exclusion of many from participation.

Is your dogma really that fragile?

This illustrates why the floor must be well reinforced.

There was no point for being redundant.

Not all responses are argumentative, some express support.

The floor of the cells in which you lock others must be reinforced to maintain your dogma?

Interesting admission...

No, the floor must be well reinforced to keep them from tunneling out and finding internet access.

What is the harm you foresee if they find internet access?

Part of what will make the walled, floored, and ceilinged nation of Trumpistan work is that its citizens will never need to be challenged with reality. Fox will provide an intranet for them to fight each other over who is more Trumpistly pure as well as a news network for propaganda. So it will be sort of like now except the rest of us won't have to suffer through the idiocy of it. I have always been against torture.

Very similar as to how I view today's left. Not one of the useless idiots has read Rousseau, Voltaire, Locke, Hume, Hobbes or any of those founders of liberalism. They have no idea about how Jewish, Italian and Irish laborers created the American left, or their ideals. They know nothing of the mine strikes, the battles to form unions representing the rights of workers, they know nothing except envy and hate of those who have wealth. They have no sense of balance. And they suck up their own propaganda to justify temper tantrums, holding their breath and shrilly screeching till they get what they want and accomplish nothing. Simultaneously comical and pathetic voices of ignorance.

I could go on, but you catch my drift.

Just to fact check the highlighted statement, which US news source is the most accurate, least deceptive and most reliable?

I find it humorously tragic that Liberal elitists' beliefs are so fragile and unsupported that opposing views cause panic. Why do you suppose this might be?

The Framers of the Bill of Rights are weeping from beyond the grave as today's Liberal Elites erase the rights they established with jeopardy to their lives, their fortunes and their SACRED honor.

My primary news source is a blank Google news search, which brings up the stories from most major and local news sources, including propaganda sources like Fox Trump Network. In walled, floored, and ceilinged Trumpistan, however, those other pesky sources will be eliminated so that more time can be devoted to fellating the mad king.

I was going to leave it there, but if you're invoking the founding fathers (which Trumpists own in no way,) I invite you to read Washington's farewell speech for comprehension, though I have no doubt that you will miss the point on purpose.

It was very interesting yesterday bouncing back and forth between FOX and CNN comparing the coverage.

CNN, in keeping with their party line narrative, presented Trump as the Great Satan and dismissed any possible legal liability that might attach to any Democrat.

FOX examined the liabilities as they might attach to various individuals on both sides of the aisle. FOX also had some humorous observations of the coverage and the situation.

One FACT is pretty obvious. EVERYBODY seems to agree that setting up a quid pro quo for personal benefit is a bad thing.

That Biden actually did this, admitted to doing this and actually bragged about doing this is excused and apparently forgotten by CNN. That Trump did NOT do this seems to have evaded CNN's understanding.

It's interesting that Biden is dropping in the polls while Trump is rising. Despite the best efforts of the propagandists, a balanced understanding seems to be sifting out into the general population.

People seem to agree for the most part that people who live in a sewer have a certain air about them.

Glad to see the left hasn't completely lost its mind relative to wealth redistribution. With all this talk from the Dems promoting socialism, my question is on point.

Socialist believe in common property ownership

Really? There is no private land ownership in Finland, Norway, Denmark, or Sweden?

Mango Mussolini tried to extort Ukraine into joining his campaign effort. Trumpists are ok with that. They probably even think that it's another sign of his stable genius.

Get off my property!

What are the thoughts today from Liberal Progressives about those who own large parcels of land? Does the owner have the right to the land he purchased or does it belong to the collective?

-VySky

The concept of property rights is a key component of the legal foundation of the United States. Property rights are granted by the state to the individual and are both protected and regulated by the state. All private property ownership is based upon the power of the state with rights granted to the private property owner regulated and circumscribed by the state. The rights granted can be expanded or reduced by the state as the state sees fit. For instance, the state gives some property owners the full right to minerals or water on that property. Or the state restricts those rights to others or itself. This means that common opinions about the extent of private property ownership can be at odds with the legal rights granted by the federal, state and local governments. No property owner has full and total control over everything in, on, under or over his property.
