Pelosi Admits There's Nothing Compelling, Overwhelming, Or Bipartisan Enough To Impeach Trump For

Pelosi's thinking seems clear: an impeachment process is an enormous drain on other resources and efforts, and would fail in the Senate anyway resulting in a feeling of defeat for the Left. So, per her thinking, what's the point?

Exactly. Senate Republicans have long stepped down from their constitutional tasks and are a bunch of cowardly enablers.

If the Dems had control of two thirds of the Senate, I'd say, yeah, impeach and convict the bastard. But they don't, so, it's a pipe dream, and might result in losing the only way to remove Trump from office, that is, beating him in 2020.

It means a couple things. It means Pelosi just shot down all the loons who are looking to impeach Trump today. And it means Pelosi has seen nothing that merits impeachment in her mind. The truth here Mr. Haymarket is that it is YOUR wet dream that is collapsing around you. Hes not going anywhere.

She said there is no compelling evidence and she knows what's going on with Mueller and she knows what is going on with House investigations. You guys just can't accept the truth.
 
Pelosi has figured out that nothing real will ever beat what the Democratic base can dream up, so she's going to stick with the endless investigations attacking fictions rather than nail down anything substantive to keep people fired up.

I applaud your realism. Hillary lost because of many reasons, one being she was so focused on Trump that she forgot to tell voters why they should vote for her. You seem to have a level head.

Considering the current crop of clowns that have tossed their hats into the ring, that's going to be very difficult.
Out of all of them, i only see 2 that may have a snowball's chance of being any sort of real threat to Trump in the general.

Specifically, something that would be "compelling or overwhelming" to a Republican. And she's right, because nothing like that can exist.

There's a very good reason why Republicans refuse to answer the question, "What would Trump have to do for you to no longer support him?" And the reason they don't answer that question is because no such answer exists.

Exactly, the collusion is not sticking so now they are focusing on things like his taxes. They are looking for a crime to convict him of. The single most anti American thing I have seen at this level in my lifetime.

Yes it does mean that. Pelosi knows what Mueller has and she knows that Mueller's got nothing on Trump. That's why she said she hasn't seen anything compelling or overwhelming and why the House had to start up new investigations, of which she also realizes they've got nothing on those either.

I wouldn't count my chickens before they're hatched. I mean look at how the left looked at Trump in 2016. No one gave him even a snowball's chance in the primary, let alone the general.

Things that objectively happened are routinely rejected by trump supporters as having happened. And if they do accept them, they relegate them to items of unimportance.

You can only fool us into trying to kicking the football so many times. Nothing could compel you to agree that Trump should leave office, because the whole reason you put him in there in the first place was to torment people you don't like.
