Over 500 Climate Scientists Declare There is no Climate Emergency

Half way to the start point, what trouble do you think will happen to it?

If it going to be sea level rise how much do you think will happen by, say 2100?

Enough to cause massive flooding

Yup, so it looks like the usual fallacies that the climate nuts who claim "tens of thousands of scientists believe in a climate emergency" IS FAKE.

The truth is there are many scientists who are skeptical of the apocalypse. Fact.

Now let's see what fallacies the lemmings will come up with... probably ad homs, strawmen, shoot the messenger, argumentum ad populum, etc. which is their usual BS.

Let's not forget that running in the background of all of this is the reproducibility crisis that exists.

1,500 scientists lift the lid on reproducibility : Nature News & Comment

More than 70% of researchers have tried and failed to reproduce another scientist's experiments, and more than half have failed to reproduce their own experiments. Those are some of the telling figures that emerged from Nature's survey of 1,576 researchers who took a brief online questionnaire on reproducibility in research.

Enough to cause massive flooding

Look this is a science area of debate. You will have to use numbers to be involved here. Try 59cm by 2100.

Do you think the rich, white, parts of New Orleons will have any trouble adding a couple of feet to the existing sea defenses?

So you admit that global warming will cause sea level to rise and new Orleans will need additional sea defenses.

For the win.

Yes.

For the win.

Do you think the cost of that will be much? Given that they have massive, often 20 feet high sea defenses at the moment? An extra 2 feet over the 21st century?

Yes.

You wanted one example. There are thousands more.

I accept your concession

No significant trouble from the worste case scenario. That is my conclusion.

You admitted sea level rise from agw will cause increased flooding.

Thanks for playing

But... but... but...

The science is settled!!!

???

We all agree with that.

Any sea level rise that is caused by man will increase the natural sea level rise.

What you guys fail to do is account for the natural sea level rise, and try to pin it all on AGW.

Yes agw will increase sea level and that will cause lots of problems in some areas

Of the 400 signatories, only a handful have a background in climate science, with the majority being writers, engineers and geologists with no direct expertise in the*field.

There are people like “Peter Champness, Radiologist, Australia”; “Patrick Mellett, architect and CEO”; and “Fintan Ryan, Retired Senior Airline Captain” signing this ridiculous letter. Also medical doctors, psychologists, lawyers, writers. Less than 10 could actually be called climate scientists. Also a heck of a lot of people working for the fossil fuel industry, and lots of really old retirees.

LOL! What a joke!

You’d have to be incredibly gullible and desperate (and lazy) to get fooled by this pathetic propaganda stunt.

No.

I agree that global warming is supposed to result in sea level rise. I think it will in fact result in some drop but I will accept the IPCC's figures for the purposes of moving the debate forward.

I see no significant trouble with the worst case of those figures.

I also see that your debating style makes it obvious you are only interested in word games.

You asked a specific question. I showed you a specific place that will be negatively affected by AGW.

I accept your concession

You ignored the significantly part.

Your word games will only impress yourself.

Antarctica is increasing the volume of its ice by over 200 cubic miles per year and has been for some time.
So much for the fearmongering of rising sea levels.
Al Gore bought a new mansion in Montecito, California, near sea level.
Obama the Incompetent bought a new mansion on the other coast, near sea level.
They put their money somewhere else besides where their mouths are.

Property values of real estate on the coast the world over are increasing in value, including the Maldives.

Have no fear. It's okay.

Yes.

Naturally the sea level will rise as we increase temperatures by 3+ degrees....

Well to play word games; yes, you accept that there is no significant trouble ahead at all from global warming. Good.

I think having an entire city flooded is a pretty significant consequence of agw.

But that's me

How many right wingers read even a dozen names off the list before accepting the presentation at face value?

‘Retired civil engineer.’
‘Professor of economics’
‘Professor of environmental and industrial toxicology’

Network engineer?

My personal favorite: ‘lead expert.’ That’s it. That’s the title.

Maybe the guy “specialized in microwave communications” is a climate expert?

Specialist in telecommunications and broadband networks.

Doctor of medicine

Professor Honoris Causa. that’s not even a real professor.

maybe 1% of this list consists of people who have ever worked in climate science.

Author. Just author.
