Our Republic Is Under Attack From the President

They take an oath (not swear allegiance) to follow the orders of the president. The president is the commander in chief and as such rates the respect due that position. McRaven knows this, but he put politics ahead of his duty and honor. He's a walking, talking piece of ****.
“I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
In Section 16c(1)(c) of the code of military justice provides: Lawfulness. A general order or regulation is lawful unless it is contrary to the Constitution, the laws of the United States, or lawful superior orders or for some other reason is beyond the authority of the official issuing it.

"Snuff out he radical right wing element ASAP", eh? And you're worried about fascism....

Radical fundamentalism is currently responsible for the rot in the Republic, caused by repeated stonewalling at the highest levels. Yes, the radical element must be snuffed out, through proper reforms... and that radical element is coming from the right wing. We do not have a radical leftism problem in Congress, we have a fundamentalist rightism problem. If you turn off Fox News and CNN and tune into the real political analyses that are being discussed in the institutional circles, you'll see that all of the concern right now is for the right-sided imbalance happening in the U.S. The pendulum is tilting to the right, toward fascism.

Like I said, it's not serious yet because the more sturdy branches of protection have not yet been shaken. However, these investigations on Trump are showing us that the right wing in government have been conducting purges of all dissenters and attempting to make permanent modifications to the system that will favor them long-term, rather than upholding the traditions of political balance. The diversity of the Capitol community is being culled to favor a new culture that is dangerous to democracy.

Our political opponents are supposed to be our colleagues, not our blood enemies. You enjoy the power that comes with your rule of the day, you work as best you can with your opponents, and then you shake hands and hand it off to the next team. You don't corrupt the system to maintain your party's privilege for the long-term, in order to push through ideology that no democratic process would support.

The Republic is in danger.

How many times have you posted that link in totally unrelated threads? It has to be in the hundreds, by now. :lamo

How is that unrelated to this thread?

It's about Trump undermining your Republic, and I would say him supporting Neo Nazis and the KKK is undermining the Republic. Unless you're a Stormfront member or supporter or gullible of course, then you're pushing the narrative that it never happened, and attacking those that stand against it.

Funny how racism seems to be at the bottom of most things Trump does to energize his base.

Trump’s Midterm Closing Argument: Pure Racial Fear

I would argue that this too weakens your country, causing great division. And Trump seems to think his base, his supporters are largely cowardly racists. What do you think?

You post that link in every thread you post in...lol.

You have it backwards. He put duty and honor ahead of poilitics. He oversaw the raid that took out Osama bin Laden, and now he's continuing that highest duty by pointing out a threat that just might be even greater than bin Laden, Donald Trump. And that's the truth of it.

This is probably going to get me in trouble, but at this point, I do not care.

Statements like this are absolutely insane, and anyone that says this is insane as well. Mindsets like this are what is destroying our republic. And, the fact that people say absolutely insane garbage like this constantly on this forum and it is allowed and even parroted by moderators is why this site is overrun by leftist lunatics and the debate is reduced to calling "right-wingers" any derogatory name you can be encouraged to do so.

The idiocy of the above post is why the quality of this forum sucks. I am not saying the above person should not have a right to say what think, but if I am going to be called a racist, bigot, homophobe, transphobe, retard, fascist, and any other number of slurs the resident leftists are free to call me because i dare support the current president. then I am going to go out calling them the insane morons they are. And you can quote me.

Nope.

But the USA is, according to Trump, a very racist country. So obviously racism plays a part in a lot of what happens in such a country, particularly the politics. Christ, you have a POTUS who publicly defends Neo Nazis and the KKK, no matter how much White Supremacists and their allies try to convince us it never happened.

Why won't you answer the question? Do you think you know Trump's base better than Trump himself?

So now, you're just going to flat out lie.

BTW, is this your PM? :lamo

Oh the irony.....:lamo

Nah, you're just so used to lies from Trump and his supporters, that you think everyone does it. Quit projecting and deflecting. Answer the question:

Do you think you know Trump's base better than Trump himself?

BTW, is this your PM? :lamo

Indeed. The difference is you defend Trump publicly supporting Neo Nazis and the KKK. I don't defend that action by my PM.

See the difference?

Actually it's Trump who says his base are a bunch of "poorly educated" people. ie dumbasses.

Actually it's Trump who runs a campaign based almost entirely on his supporters being cowardly racists.

Actually it's Trump who publicly supported Neo Nazis and the KKK.

It's the guy you support who, based on his speeches and actions, thinks you're likely a racist fascist dumbass, so, if you have any complaints along those lines, you need to take it to Trump.

You lie about Trump and refuse to condemn Trudeau. Hypocrisy noted.

Oh, I thought you were talking about gas chambers.

For as long as I have been coming to places like this I have had to put up with people who blame everybody else for their own shortcomings. Go ahead, try and "snuff out" your political opponents while you cry about fascism, see what it gets you.

Are you calling me a dumb ass?

No. I made it very clear. That's what Trump thinks, that he loves the poorly educated. ie dumbasses.

I provided you with a link to where he said it. Did you have difficulty reading it?

To save some breath to our right-wing regulars, this is just some worthless opinion from another Deep State traitor.

If you are behind a paywall, you can also read about it here.

- Retired Admiral William McRaven, Navy SEAL who oversaw the Osama bin Laden raid
This is an opinion piece. I thought opinion pieces were against forum rules for Breaking News.

It won't get you much in the USA, a country where the POTUS himself publicly defends Neo Nazis. You know, fascists. In about 1/3 of the country, fascism is apparently seen as a positive.

No, actually it's Trump and those who support his destruction of our Republic who are insane. McRaven had it right.
