Officially A Democrat

Actually much in his posts merit worse; for not less than two years (perhaps many more) this fellow has posed as a Republican without defending any Republican sponsored policy or initiative by any wing of the party … not one. However, for two years he has made his only forum purpose to make sweeping and hostile rants against his party. No matter what any Democrat said or did or proposed, or how petty and trivial or wrong-headed his complaints were they all carried one singular theme: Republicans are all evil.

So ya, now that the faux Republican has done his dirty work, he has, much like an American spying for the KGB, boarded his escape plane to the motherland.

I've been reading his posts for that long, and I've never seen him call Republicans evil. I can disagree with the proposed policies of some person, without thinking that they're evil. So can you, for that matter. I find it odd that you have this reaction, when, by your own declaration, no party, including the Republican party, has earned your vote.

As much as the Rightskis whine because one of their own became a Democrat, you'd think they had that Muslim-like apostate rule written down somewhere. Does NTGOP need to worry about a fatwa?

I just officially registered to be a Democrat. Never thought this would happen, but I can no longer stomach the GOPs extreme positions on well just about everything.

I'm staying registered as a Republican so I can vote in our primary next year and get someone in there who can replace Trump as the nominee. Once the party is purged of Trump supporters, we can get it back to the great party it once was.

Oh! didn't see this coming!

Stay there, and never ****ing leave. The only thing worse than a democrat is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Now that you revealed yourself, you went up a level in my book. You're just a normal dem now, not a wolf.

now change your username. You don't speak for conservatives, and you never did.

He never claimed to speak for conservatives.

Why did you post this to him?

His username was "nevertrumpGOP". I know many goppers who are never trump. Hell, I was never-trump at one point, because I remembered his reality TV days and that he never was a conservative in any sense. Most republicans I know who are never Trump, are still conservative and would never support democrats after the insanity that they've endorsed. GOP nevertrumpers aren't trump-deranged like OP is, and would never abandon their conservative principles, like OP just has. I have called it long before. He was never "NeverTrumpGOP" but rather, just a normal nevertrumper.

He never claimed to speak for conservatives. He was a full out Republican, just like I was, until the party sold out to the fraud named Trump.

I'm a #NeverTrumper too. I've been a Republican for decades more than Trump has. Am I a normal #NeverTrumper?

The OP isn't "deranged". He's the opposite. He rejected Trump and has never waivered from that rejection. Nor have I.

I don't know what "conservative principles" the OP has rejected. Please share with me.

You can reject trump, and still be obsessed with talking about trump. Hence, 'deranged'.

"conservative principles". Why would a conservative join the democrat party? Why would a conservative promote AOC? That's not part of any conservative principle i know....quite the opposite in fact.

That's stupid. If the GOP leaves conservative principles behind to become Trump cultists, then the only rational option is to support the opposition.

If the GOP wants us back, they need to convince us that they have not lost their minds to become cultists. Right now, they are doing a great job of demonstrating the exact opposite.

Trump is the President. This board is called "Debate Politics". When did it become an obsession to discuss the President on a board with the primary purpose of debating politics?

He "promotes" AOC? In what way? I see him post about her. Do you see him in her district campaigning for her? If so, I'd love to see the pictures.

Donald Trump promoted Hillary Clinton. So by your logic, the President is not a conservative. But hey, why worry about that when you can worry about an anonymous poster on a message board?

Trump is the exact opposite. And, you support him. So, **** your lectures on who is or is not conservative.

Trolling notwithstanding, that's where you are wrong. I only support trump when he is right. When he is wrong, such as with his protectionism, I call him out on it. Now, trump would say that he's only using tariffs to negotiate, and if that is so, i'll wait until results come in to see if he is wrong or not. But still, his knee jerk protectionism is wrong, and like all other things, I judge based on whatever the issue is. For example, his appointment of Kavanaugh, I think, was wrong. Not because of anything with Christine Ford or MeToo, mind you, which is all bull**** and why I don't vote for democrats. But because Kavanaugh is, and always has been, a moderate, and would do nothing for conservativism on the court. Trump would have gained my approval if he chose Don Willet or Amy Barret.

When the president is wrong, he's wrong. When he's right, I support him. Simple. It doesn't blind me enough to the sins of the democrat party.

my state forces me to register as a member of a Fisher Price My First Political Party in order to have a say in the primaries, which i have to vote in to pick the best anti-Trumpist candidate. i'm not a fan of the policy.

If you want to be more effective in getting Trump out, you may want to consider instead voting in Republican primaries. That way you get 2 shots at removing Trump, which in itself is a much better goal for the country IMO than choosing which particular Dem gets to win.

Apparently you are blind however to the sins of the Republican Party. Too bad. But, that's your problem. Not mine. I'm only saying don't lecture us on what it means to be conservative. Because you've proven that you are not one.

I truly doubt that there will be a meaningful Republican presidential primary in 2020 if Trump runs again. His base is head over heels in love with him.

And, the rest of the Party will fall in line behind him. That's already been proven.

I'm not actually. I just don't address them as much because I don't want to drive people toward the democrat party. But yes, the republican party has suffered from the same corruption the democrats have, by many of the same interests groups.

Lol what a joke. I'm a conservative, and I didn't change positions simply because trump one, unlike many of you because Trump, for whatever reason, has the ability to crack people's fronts and make them bring out their real selves. This, I admire about him.

IOW, you are a traitor to the country. the Democrat party is the epitome of pure Communist evil and needs to be destroyed. You sir have sided with the enemy.

Perhaps, but I intend to support top Republican opposition to Trump. I am willing to believe enough Republicans and (hopefully) Democrats will join me in that opposition. If there is a chance, as 2016 showed, it could just happen...

When the Party began wearing white sheets, it was time to look elsewhere. Now that they are simply an extension of Trumpism, it’s time to let them die. Some, however, will happily dive under the bus with them. Others will run them over with it. There is a third way. And that is to vote against them at every opportunity.

And all we'll be stuck with is zero Conservative representation because there are NONE in the Democrat party.
