And not because the GOP candidate won, that was expected in Montana where they believe the worst GOP candidate is better then the best Dem candidate. That is pretty typical of GOP voters. No, what it really showed is how Trump has made news people targets. When the GOP candidate kind of apologized for his actions, people in the crowd were yelling out that he had done the right thing. If it was anywhere but Montana the GOP Candidate would have been in jail. But of course the Sheriff had donated money to the GOP candidate so it was just a misdemeanor assault, even though he not only body slammed the reporter, but hit him several times while he was down on the ground. He then did a Trump and put out a lie that the reporter had basically attacked him. I guess he thought that the Fox Reporters there would support his claim, but instead they backed the reporters version. So our country has come down to allowing physical attacks on reporters and thinking that it was just great and then accepting any lie told by your party as long as it support your opinions. We are a pretty pitiful country for sure and Trump is leading us farther down that road every minute he is in office.

The first group the Nazis went after were the news media. They targeted them long before they began killing Jews. That kind of thing only comes later, after you put your own people in charge of reporting the news.

This highlighted a major con to early voting.

To bad early voters can't change there votes.

I'm not a fan of early voting and this is a major reason why. One just doesn't know what's going to happen next.

Eh, this is really more of showing a downside of early voting.

Montana is traditionally Republican. Plus there was a lot of early voting and mail in voting, and that takes place before the incident. That could have an effect.

But ultimately, we live in a HIGHLY partisan system and the R's support the R's and the D's support the D's and that's the end of it. The fact that people voted for Hillary or Trump show us that.

Cuz this kinda **** NEVER happened under the Obama presidency.

Assault on reporters? link?

I didnt say it didnt get covered. I said this kind of bull**** didnt start with TTTTRRRRRRUUUUUUUMMMMMMPPPPPP!!!!! That incident happened back in 2010. So if you are looking at the Montana incident or the Trump election as a starting point you are either blind or pushing an agenda.

Maybe the agenda part.

American politics has always been about power gilded with "American values and traditions."

This election clearly shows the GOP and Trumpermania is not about American values.

In my opinion, the Dems are not any better than the Pubs.

There's no assault depicted in this video.
The Congressman was simply demonstrating his alpha male status.

If only the Country would get it; bad democrat is better than an good Republican.

Don't worry, the Tribulation is coming. (2020-2026) It'll be over soon (I can't wait).

It's a good thing this happened in Montana. If it had been, say...CA, the police would have tossed him in jail...a liberal judge would have denied bail...he would have won his election while behind bars...and he would be convicted in the court of public opinion and sentence with expulsion from Congress.

Instead, he's been charged, he'll have his day in court and a REAL judge will determine his guilt or innocence.

That candidate lost his reelection bid shortly after that incident.
It damaged him greatly.

He's obviously desperately trying to find a case in which a Democrat did the same thing as the Republican in the OP. If only he could, that would have made the assault on a news reporter OK. You see, if a Democrat does it, then it's OK.

And when he attacked the kid, did you hear democrats blaming it on Obama? Or anyone else blaming it on Obama for that matter?

You should stop acting stupid. The point was clear...this kind of thing happened in 2010...under Obama...and it was nobodies fault but the individual. Yet you and people like you will make it be about TTTRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!

There is no one else like me. Get used to it.

Yes, the point was clear: If we can find any case somewhat similar involving a Democrat, then what the Republican did was excusable. That's how partisanship works you know.

Really? Was the OP about 'politician does something stupid' or was the OP "politician does something stupid because of TTTRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMPPPPPPPP!!!!!"

Keep derping it up. And dont fool yourself...you arent at all unique.

Are you now going to argue that Trump didn't make enemies of the press? Really?

I don't know if that particular tough guy would have assaulted a reporter had Trump not made enemies of the press. Maybe so, maybe not.

But the fact that he was able to assault a reporter, or anyone else, and still be elected shows just how partisan the voters are. Even before we ever heard of Trump, voters on both sides would vote for their candidate if their party was running Beelzebub. It's the same sort of stupid rah rah, my party first nonsense that has Congress dysfunctional and elects conmen to the highest office in the land.

So The Obama Administration were Nazis? Because they nefariously went after and restricted to more reporters than all other previous presidents combined.

Trump has done nothing but call out Fake news for lying. The general consensus among the press (even CNN) is that under Trump they have gotten the best access they have ever had.

This 30some year Beta Male Pajama Boy getting body slammed by a 70 year old man has nothing to do with Trump.

Is the dude really 70? Now that is funny. I have to admit.

Eh, this is really more of showing a downside of early voting.

Until technology allows all who want to vote to do so on the same day without taking off work or waiting hours to do it, I see early voting as a necessary thing. This incident does highlight a problem with it, but I think the pros outweigh the cons.

With Progressive/Liberal/Socialist losing 90% of all local, state and national elections since and including 2010 I would say the country is going in the right direction. And there is not honest evidence that trend is changing.
