Trump has changed many policies and changed interpretation of law to accomplish things like family separation and detainment. So what are you arguing, that Trump and Obama should have declared national emergencies to get DACA, reverse DACA, and get the family separation policy? If so, that type of presidential behavior is really inappropriate and an unnecessary abuse of power.

The constitution provides the legislature with the power to make legislation, the legislature passed an emergency clause providing the president specific and limited powers which seem to include building barriers on our border. There is no constitutional problem here
