"mayor pete" says Legalize ALLdrugs!

You have never been around a heroin addict if you believe this. Junkies look for the same high they got the first time. They never achieve it and usually die trying. A regulated heroin will only expedite the process.

Yeah, well, you can't save them all, though we should offer treatment to the willing. The key is going to be reducing new users by impressing upon them the truth about the effects of the drug. We've managed it with tobacco, which is similar in it's addictiveness with many hard drugs, and yet we struggle badly with other drugs.

Producing the drug in a legal and regulated way will reduce accidental ODs, because the user will have the means to know exactly what the dosages are.

It is a question of morality, period.

What you are doing is sculpting an argument that ignores Christian morals and favors your less than virtuous inclinations.

This is all very human.

Humans are like every other animal, very selfish and greedy.

Likely you are also not educated on the subject as you don't seem to understand the seductive nature of drugs.

Your mindset is typical, sadly.

It's all about you. **** everyone else.

It's a core Trumpian tenet.

It flies in the face of morals, ethics and Christianity is all I am saying.

You have every right to be like you are until it breaks a law.

peace
Not in the least. In point of fact you are structuring YOUR entire argument out of your bitterness and hatred and dislike and for the purpose of attacking someone personally. Now tell me all about how 'Christian' you are.

No...this isnt a morality issue In fact if you really want to discuss the moral ethos, you would recognize from the outset that I stated that while the individual would disqualify themselves from GOVERNMENT support (government FREE from religion...funny how you lot like to use that line only when it is convenient to you) BUT that people like yourselves are 100% free to provide for their care.

And THAT is the part that wrecks you. You want MOMMY to take care of you. You dont want to be personally responsible for your own choices and you don't want to be responsible for your words when it comes to supporting others. When you demand MOMMY step in and take care of those people you know they will have to tax SOMEONE ELSE...not you..because YOU don't pay ****.

Your words are nothing. Your words are empty. As is your bleating on about morality and Christianity.

I leaned long ago of the hypocritical nature of those who scream, "personally responsible!" as you do.

What I love is how many scream it who are in teh military, teh biggest "mommy take care of" organization in the country.

Your position is based on ignorance, selfishness and greed. You can scream all you want but it's there for all to see.

I prefer to retain my morals, ethics and Christian values.

You are free to not, as I said, unless you break a law.

Hilarious.

No...you prefer to still post out of your bitterness...your hatred...your ugliness. How "Christian" of you.

My position is based on reality. People that advocate for decriminalization of all drug use should also be willing to step up to the plate and fund the community impact of their stupidity. Not expect big mommy government to do what big mommy government has always done for people like you. Put YOUR money where your mouth is.

Oh...dang...thats...well...no...I mean...the government...and taxes...and...the rich...and Christian...and someone else...errrr....I hate you you big meany.......

Saran wrap.

If all drugs were legal, and given in unlimited amounts, to addicts, for FREE, in a couple of years, there would be very few addicts left alive.

How Nice! :)

-

Well, I added to that, this:

I support gov issued hard narcotics to users in a quarantined, medically supervised and controlled, environment. Addicts would gladly give up their freedom if they could get their drug of choice without fear of jail and receiving treatment.

So, such a program could conceivably save lives, as well.

Marijuana will eventually be legalized in as many as forty-five states or more.
I'd give it three years max. In fact, it may wind up being legalized in all fifty.
At the point where forty states have legalized it, feds need to ask themselves why they are still fighting, and what.

As of this writing, approximately thirty-two states have either legalized it altogether or have medical marijuana laws in place.

It's been a long time coming.

I was an early member of NORML. That was about the same time I went in the service. That was 3 generations ago in my family.

like i said you dont get heroin addicts. They always want a higher dose. Legal drugs will just create more addicts.

Millions upon millions will become addicts unable to work

Where will they get food?

They will take yours

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is about the funniest post I have ever read here.

Amazing, truly amazing.

Reason, logic, studies, past experiences all mean nothing to the emotional.

God Bless you.

"millions upon millions" ROTFLMAO!!!

Never saw a fact you liked?

Your "reality" is emotion based.

I am not even going to bother, fact has no place here.

God Bless you my "Christian" friend. lol

Is petey a member of NAMBA?

far lefties will vote for this weirdo but no Rs and no every day (meaning normal) Dems

I don't think Pete owns a boat.

This is just another left wing attempt to destroy the country.

If all these poor addicts just stayed in the own homes it might not be such a problem. This might be over your head but they don't! They leave their safe haven and eventually invade yours and mine. They are addicted and unable to provide for themselves by working so they steal your money and stuff including your life. If you want to coddle these misfits go ahead, just don't make it my responsibility too.

Then arrest them for attempting to invade your safe haven (or shoot them) and all is well. Criminalizing someone simply for wanting to get high is absurd.

letting people get high and d rive cars or operate machinery... etc killing others is absurd

See....that was easy. Lol

drugged up people kill innocent people

when they drive
when they operate heavy equipment
when they are in charge of others (schools, etc)

I do not want to live in a country where, say, 1/4 of the people (or even 1/20) are high on some dangerous, consciousness-altering substance

maybe some of you out there do

Most Americans do not

All those things you cite are already illegal.

So you admit that what you were whining about is already illegal, legal drugs or no legal drugs.

Nice!

Not only that but it is a pretty dumb argument against legalizing other drugs when Alcohol is already legal and can be used to achieve the same outcomes.

It is as ridiculous as trying to ban a certain firearm to solve for mass shootings when any other firearm that will still be readily available can achieve the same results.

Typical looney leftest speak. Nobody is responsible for anything. Everybody can do as they please and someone else pays the freight.
