Corey Seager is out. Back injury.

Dodgers have a nice 6 RH batters in the lineup with 4 lefties and a switch on the bench. Cubs have good stats v. Kershaw. I question Jay and Scwarber in the lineup.

With 4 lefties and two switch on the bench, Cubs look susceptible to Dodger lefties.

Coukd this be Quintana's time to shine ?

What time do you have to be at WORK during the week, Eastern time zone guy ?

I'm retired. But I still doze off by 11pm and get up at 6am or so. 40 years of working and I still can't break that schedule even though I'm retired.

I have a hard time staying up to midnight on New Years Eve to watch the ball drop. lol... I am an old fart!!

BUT not too old to not appreciate that picture.

I hear ya. I am so used to getting up at 5 AM, I get up by 7 on weekends and rarely make it past 11 on Sat night.

Interesting. I sleep until 3-4 am. Usually wake up around noon. Sometimes I wake up at 7-8 for work.

Yep. Weekends... Weekdays, whatever mean nothing to me, I'm up by 6-7am everyday, just like I did for 40 years. Home, vacation, anywhere.

So 2 of the 3 teams that had to make the World Series to 'prove' something, the Indians(22 game winning streak) and the Nats(never won a playoff series) are gone.

That leaves the Dodgers as the only team left that absolutely has to win and get in the WS or their whole history is in a shambles, or whatever.

I still don't know who to root for though. lol

Now that I'm actually acting retired in my 9th year out after 33, I've moved to a more laid back time schedule of 10:00 AM to 3:00 AM and love it. All the sports and wraps; repeat political shows if I want;

For the NL series, we have Barksdale, Tichenor, Winters, Wolf, Welke, Marquez, and then Barksdale for a possible game 7. Barksdale was 19-12 for the home team this year and more important to me 7-21-3 on over/unders ...

It looks like pitching is making a come back in these playoffs. After many runs being scored in the earlier series, in the two games in Houston, both were 2-1 games. And nada so far in L.A..

13K for Verlander today.

Lefty hitters hit fifty points higher than righties against Kershaw.

Kershaw's windup and delivery looks like a goofy, uncoordinated, lanky bird. It's funny watching him.

I'm a lefty, but I never pitched. Watching him throw looks like it 'hurts',

Weird!

Almora changes that!

Cubs need to get runs- they have no closer.

Kershaw is not looking sharp. He's throwing too many pitches, and his team is already two runs behind.

Dodgers are fine with a battle of bullpens.

Yep, funny how things change. Last year the Cubs and the Indians played the whole series depending on and going to their BP's. This year the Cubs seem like they want to stay with the starters.
