He made the decision not to run before he voted against the bill. Therefore, he had nothing to lose.

I both disagree and agree at the same time.

I disagree because Tillis knows that without the backing of the party, and with the leader of the party calling him out, he has little chance of surviving a primary challenge. Not until the MAGA brand loses in general elections.

That's where I agree with you. There's nothing that prevents the people of North Carolina - a solid majority of them - from saying 'We want our Medicaid. We don't want it cut. We don't want these other things cut.' For whatever reason, owning the libs seems more important to them, probably because they want to get rid of trans people and ban gay marriage first.

Didn't even there is no cuts to Medicaid all that's happening with Medicaid is their budget is not going to be increased by as much or more than it was last time that's not a cut.
