Kaepernick to Blacks: We must fight back against uncivilized police.

Seriously, why are you fighting back against words by Trump?

Because Trump is part of the problem. Leadership comes from the top down. Trump condoning police misconduct and brutality is a problem.

Agent provocateurs aren't helping the situation much.

I feel bad for those who don't have transportation, a home, a place to work. Those are neighbors, friends...

These protestors all over the nation are assuming all cops have the same deadly attitudes towards blacks as this one Minny cop.

We know for a fact that more than this one cop does. You might not be aware, but this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Not even close.

EDIT: Mebe that's because all these protesting blacks have the attitude that all cops are out to kill them?

Some cops do. That's a fact. And they rarely pay the price their crimes deserve.

I watched the video at the Auto Zone and more telling, IMO, than the guy breaking windows were the exclamations of those blacks who attempted to stop the guy from breaking windows. There exclamations were 'Hey, are you a cop?' If the window breaking guy had answered, 'Yes, I am a cop', IMO, there would've been a dead window breaking guy...Did you notice how fast the widow breaking guy exited the scene after he was asked if he was a cop??

Mebe the window breaking guy was the owner of the Auto Zone and was hoping to file an insurance claim against the vandalism of his store?

You are an example of why this riot ensured. You are an example of what is wrong in race relations.

That's also a possibility. The fact is though, he clearly wasn't one of the protesters.

The fact that that ignorant ****wit hasnt been heard from in damn near 2 years should speak volumes to anyone that is listening just how stupid they sound when they make their claims of institutional racism and how despicable they are for trying to turn REAL incidents of racial injustice into political causes. There are some 45 million police/civilian contacts every year...and we'll just ignore that fact and pounce on this incident even though Kaepernick and his 'movement' havent had tragedy to exploit in 48 months.

I don't agree with the tone of "we have the right to fight back." It's not clear what he means by fight back.

But maybe if people like you had listened to him about the problem of policing in minority communities we wouldn't have this problem.

There is a problem with policing in minority communities. I have seen and experienced this myself.

People like you are the problem with this country. You refuse to listen to people who are telling you there is a problem.

So, you tell me, what do you think is going to happen when police abuse and brutality is continually ignored? Year after year after year. What do you imagine is the result?

Clearly the window breaking guy didn't share the same hatred towards cops.

Nope, you're an example of what's wrong with race relations.

In any relationship communication is key. But people like you have refused to listen to the complaints by minority communities about policing. How can you have good relations when one side dismisses and ignores your concerns?

how is it being ignored ? every agency in the state and the federal government are investigating the possible murder.

Not being a racist is what's wrong with race relations? Ugh, what's wrong with Trump supporters? Well, we know Trump thinks his base are largely cowardly racists.

Trump and G.O.P. Candidates Escalate Race and Fear as Election Ploys

As Howard Stern pointed out, clearly he despises you. Why do you support someone who looks at you and your friends and thinks "cowardly racist?"

The has-been former football player turned democrat political activist is now inciting blacks to violence. Can anyone be surprised this America-hating leftist democrat would do such a stupid uncivilized thing?

It must boil your blood to realize that Kaepernick is far more American than you will ever be.

Supposedly this guy is a cop outed by his ex. However, after a quick 30 minute investigation, the SPPD said it wasn't him. Wink wink nudge nudge.

I defy you to find a single instance on this discussion board INCLUDING THIS ONE where I have suggested police officers that behave in criminal manner should not be held accountable. You are talking out of your ass spewing the same mindless leftist rhetoric that that idiot Kaepernik does.Hold every cop that is RESPONSIBLE accountable.

Your idiotic comments and mindless rhetoric just completely ignored the FACTS presented. There are some 1.1 MILLION law enforcement officers. 45 MILLION police contacts. And instances like the ones in Minneapolis are extremely rare. And when they occur, as the one in Minneapolis did, they should be held accountable.

If the police treat blacks as criminals, they are at war. They don't help the black community anyway. Not much of a loss.
When you say "the police" you are using your own bigotry by labeling an entire industry of 1.1 MILLION people, and assuming they all behave in a certain manner because the actions of SOME. Do you also feel the same way about "the blacks"?

No sense in making sense to some.

It only emboldens them to throw out more bilge water.

They see a few bad cops a year on video and turn it into racism when ever possible, and then they go on to their wide spread police brutality and corruption narrative.

how is it being ignored ? every agency in the state and the federal government are investigating the possible murder.

The problem has been around for decades. Very little ever changes. Why aren't there more minority police officers in minority communities? People from the community should be police officers. They know the community and know the people. They wouldn't treat everyone like some potential gang member.

Kaepernick should be encouraging minorities that live in the community to become law enforcement officers. He should be encouraging them to become elected officials to help enact change. That most likely will not happen.

The LEO's who were involved and fired need to have criminal charges brought up against them.

To the rioters, there are some news footages that clearly show their faces. They need to be identified and charges with the appropriate crimes.

I will never understand that when a LEO does something bad as happened with Floyd, the response is to go out and destroy private and public property. It just adds to the decline of the community.

No, but like so many Trump supporters, you always support Trump's policies and statements, regardless of how blatantly racist they are. So you are part of the problem.

Let me repeat what I said. People like you are the problem because you choose to ignore the concerns of people in minority communities. There are plenty of instances of you ignoring the concerns of minorities about policing. Your hatred of Kaepernick is a prime example because all he did was try to bring attention to this problem. Wasn't he right? Isn't there a problem?

Yes, there are millions of officers but you're again ignoring and dismissing the problem by claiming it's "rare." It's not rare. I've seen it myself. It's rare that it's caught on camera and it involves a death. It's very common that police treat citizens like criminals. That's the problem you're ignoring. That's the problem that Kaepernick was trying to bring attention to.

People like you who refuse to face this problem are the reason these riots happen. What are people going to do if they are constantly ignored?

Do you think the Minneapolis Chief of police is racist and oppressing minorities from joining the force? How about Baltimore? Chicago? New Orleans? Detroit? Do you actually have a clue as to how many minorities have been hired and serve as police officers in major cities?

:lamo

So after being challenged to find a single incident where I have excused criminal conduct by cops, all you are capable of is repeating your same idiotic rhetoric and lies.

Typical. Worthless. And you will do the same kind of **** that Kaepernik does...bleat on for a few minutes and then crawl back under a rock in a few days when this is no longer a topic of interest, only to resurface in another 12-18 months talking about how much YOU care.

No, but like so many Trump supporters, you always support Trump's policies and statements, regardless of how blatantly racist they are. So you are part of the problem.
Do you know how ****ing STUPID you sound bleating on about TRUMP on every single topic?

No, you see a few bad cops a year on video. People in these communities have seen this for decades. If you just spent a few days in one of these neighborhoods you would instantly understand how unbelievably dysfunctional policing in these neighborhoods is.

There is no sense in making sense to people like you who live in denial. Have you spent time in those neighborhoods? Have you been stopped by police in these neighborhoods?

I was a kid and saw a police officer pull a gun on a van full of people over a ticket violation. I have a friend whose shoulders are permanently damaged because cops cuffed him and dragged him by the arms for absolutely no valid reason.

If people like you would just listen and work to solve the problem, things like this wouldn't happen.
