Julian Assange has been arrested

Nobody forced Assange to flee to avoid the consequences of his actions. It was his own stupidity and arrogance-- his belief that he was above the law--- that caused that.

So your "waah! Look how badly he's ****ed up as a result of his decisions!" rhetoric simply doesn't hold water.

I maintain that your sort would still be defending him if he'd turned out to be a political hack who only targeted conservatives and the right. Consider the SPLC, which have now been exposed for practicing racism, nepotism, sexual harassment, and financial impropriety, yet they will survive their recent scandal, because they only target people the left hates.

Your political allies laugh at the physically and mentally ill state of homeless human beings every day, brownshirt.

Are you stupid? Which political party has a monopoly on California, which has more homeless people than any other state? CA's population represents 1/9 of the total population of the USA, and its homeless population is 1/4 of the total homeless people in the USA. Democrats in this state don't give a **** about the homeless, and the few who do volunteer their time to help the homeless are usually driven by religious convictions, not political ones.

Not much sympathy for Assange on Capitol Hill, I think the critical left needs a Trump tweet before they adopt a position on this.

The stupid one is the one who tries to excuse everything Repugs do by pretending the Democrats do it, too. That doesn’t excuse squat.

All the things you talked about were examples of people engaged in the illegal activity. For this to apply to Assange they would have to prove that he just didn't receive the info from someone else and publish it. They'd have to show that he encouraged or assisted in the act.

So what's the difference between Assange and other news agencies that constantly report leaks?

Show me your international law degree. His goose is cooked. Pam Anderson is going to need another boy toy. You could apply for the opening.

Not only that, imagine them trashing their room, refusing to shower, mooching free Wifi and security, making waves your friends, and then badmouthing your generosity publicly.

Wikileaks was kind of interesting a decade ago, but ever since Assange became Putin's ass monkey, he's become a skinny, white haired Alex Jones, that throws his weight around, and takes full advantage of the image his fanboys have given him of being some kind of journalist.

A bright day for fascism.

I enjoy watching CNN replay footage of officers dragging Assange out of the Embassy!

Assange, age 47, looks like a haggard old man. I expect his crappy life to become even more crappy in the coming months and years.

Count me among the very many who do not like Assange.

Julian Assange - Wikipedia

He should be burned at the stake along with Trump; both men are WITCHES!

:hm

He's not charged with a capital crime so the death penalty exclusion does not come into play. He is fully extraditable under the terms of the US-UK extradition treaty. Indeed, he was arrested at US request. Doesn't matter whether he's a US citizen. The criminal charge is in the US.

What criminal charge? One is only subject to US law while in the US. The US has no authority or legal right to levy charges in respect of actions outside its borders. I do not know if Assange has ever even visited the US. Even if he has he may not have breached any US law while there. Your assertion that Assange is 'fully extraditable' is very doubtful.

He's a dumbass. Why a guy would put himself under house arrest for 7 years only to be arrested the minute his welcome wears off is beyond me.

Fools do foolish things.

Anyone who speaks truth of power must be destroyed.

Assange did nothing wrong, Trump should do something about this, anything. He should live free in America.

Good to know that some see this. :)

But Trump will not come to Assange's aid; Trump is the death swamp he ran against.

Not to worry. We have a nice rent free prison cell waiting for him here.

Anyone celebrating this should think twice about whether they are competent to vote.

Again, California has;

1/9 of the population of America
1/4 of the homeless population of America
1 political party running the state.

If you analyze things objectively, you should come to the conclusion that the Democratic party in California has helped exacerbate the homeless problem here, and that's clearly not indicative of them being compassionate, if you know anything about the absolute horrors involved in living life as a homeless person.

Yes. And it is a question of whether Assange was ever under any obligation to follow US laws. Publishing information embarrassing to the US cannot be a US crime if done elsewhere, whether or not he 'enouraged or assisted in the act.

Does anyone know if Assange has ever even visited the US?

No he won't. UK has said they won't extradite to a death penalty country.

Sent from my Honor 8X using Tapatalk

I hope this is true; he's been tortured long enough.

Aristotle said that the law is reason free from passion. You are passion free from reason.

Not to worry. Assange is under no threat of facing the death penalty here.

Just more torture for practicing freedom of the press and speaking truth...

If you actually think it should be perfectly legal for a "journalist" to enter into a conspiracy with someone to break computer abuse laws, you ought to have your voting rights taken away, as you're not of sane mind.

Journalist are allowed to take information taken from whistle blowers, who have broken the law. They are not, however, permitted to break the law WITH those whistle blowers.

That's the difference between Wikileaks and the NYT.

He looked terrible! It was like Howard Hughes got in his later years. The longer JA stayed in that room the better chance he would grow his fingernails to 8 inches long and get bed sores.

I don't like the guy either. At all. His life as he knew it is now pretty much over. Couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

Classy to trash the mentally ill.

As to Assange, he is a hero, but when one is trapped and tortured like an animal, one can fare poorly.

Interesting this coincides with Barr's declaration. The Left and deep staters want his head.

The left celebrates Assange's heroism; liberals, Democrats and the deep state hate him.

He spoke truth about monsters; he must be crushed.

Assange has been allowed to shower.

Once again; not associated with DP.
