My money’s on Klobuchar.

It's either Klobuchar as a ploy to bring in right leaning indies, or Warren as a broader, more consumer oriented pick to attract both indies and some of the left leaners, which is not to say it's directly a paean to Sanders voters.
Sanders people do lean left, but the hardcore Sanders vote is a tough nut to crack.
Warren is an olive branch to GENERIC lefties. Some of those generics may favor Sanders, but some said they'd be happy with either Sanders or Warren.
So, in the end it comes down to which pick Team Biden thinks will bring in more voters, and from where.
Sad to say, it's actually more likely that Biden thinks Team Amy might bring in more people.
And I say "sad" not because I dislike Amy, but because I think Liz would be better, but that is just my opinion.
Count on Liz to be a leader in a Biden cabinet if she is not Veep.
Harris as Attorney General... or to the Supreme Court -- (First choice is for her to be on the Supreme Court) She would make a Good VP... but for long term benefit, Her on the Supreme Court will have benefit going into the depths of the 21st Century.
Ginsberg will Retire when Biden is Elected.... and this will open the door for Harris to be placed on the Supreme Court.
Biden will pick Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota for his VP. It solidifies that state and opens up gains in key midwest states.
Abrams nor M. Obama are qualified for that job. Just being a black woman is not a resume maker.
The thing about Amy is, she is extremely PRODUCTIVE.
Whether I think she is too bland doesn't matter, I have to respect her record. That lady gets stuff done, big time.
Harris kept men she knew were innocent in prison, and nobody disputes that.
You progressives really now how to show your true colors.
My point is he has done his job, broken no law and not acted unprofessionally. Unlike Eric Holder who refused to submit subpoenaed documents from the Fast and Furious operation. Or when Holder told federal prosecutors to stand down instead of prosecuting Black Panther members who showed up armed to "guard" polling places.
I don't like Holder, but there was no reason to fire him for F&F.
What has Harris ever done to say she'd be 'great' as AG?
The multitudes of dead people killed with those guns in Mexico would disagree.
Typical democrat.
Typical based affirmative action type belief instead of who is best for the job.
He is stupid to announce such a thing. He shouldn't have announced it until a selection was made.
Does anyone see how unqualified this man is to be president?
He's a walking gaff.
Abolish the drug war!
To answer my own question. Here is how I look at it.
Picking VPs are always a tricky business. There are a lot of things you have to jungle. For Biden, the big thing going against him is his AGE and worries that the Bernie Bros will vote for Trump or De Facto Trump aka Third Party or stay at home or write-in. We also have to consider Texas, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida as key battleground states.
Freshman governors, senators, or U.S house members are probably a bad idea. He needs a candidate that voters can be confident of being a great president, just in case "old man Biden" gets ill or losing it mentally. Grisham and Whitmer are probably too inexperienced for Biden. They just won their governorship in 2019. Abrams came close to winning the governorship, but that's still a loss and wouldn't him his candidacy.
I am thinking Amy Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren, Tammy Duckworth or Tammy Baldwin as the best candidates.
Klobuchar is somebody whose won over both Republican and Democratic districts and appeals to the mid-west.
Warren doesn't come from a swing state, but it would help him win over large factions of the Bernie Bros.
Personally I think he should go with a Tammy. Duckworth would be somebody with an inspiration story and would be somebody people could trust if disaster strikes again. Baldwin would be somebody to the left of Biden and comes from a swing state of Wisconsin.
Selection by gender does NOT, however, mean that the candidate would be unqualified. Like he said, there are candidates who are perfectly qualified to do the job. Pledging to look to one of them was a good move on his part.
Merritt Garland was more qualified than either of the two Trump nominees the Federalist Society sent to the Bad Boyz Club in the Senate via Trump who didn't know either Gorsuch or Kavanaugh from Adam. Trump is a Federalist rubber stamp on justices of SCt and and judges throughout the judiciary. Biden's election in November puts all of it into a screeching halt. No more Federalist Society deciding all of our judges and justices while Trump stamps 'em.
I'd venture to say either Harris or Abrams is likely to wear the robe of justice of Scotus while the other would sit as AG. Methinks you might consider putting in for a judgeship while you're at this thingy and before it's too late.
I would agree that Warren might bring in more people - but NOT in the key states they need to win. Klobuchar does that.
Isn't that a counter productive trait in a VP?
They really do nothing but wait for the President to die.
The only problem with that is Biden is not going to win in November.
Will he have any chance with Sanders as VP and President of the Senate for health reform and infrastructure development?
The only problem with that is Biden is not going to win in November.
The multitudes of dead people killed with those guns in Mexico would disagree.
And that would be an issue how? First they would need something to impeach him on. Then, even if they managed to pull it through (not likely at all, especially since the Senate isnt likely to change to 60/40 R/Ds, let alone more to actually remove him), it simply would put us with a woman President. Not really that big of a deal.In my opinion, Sanders for VP may be better since the right wing will be less likely to try to impeach Biden in that case. A woman VP could only enable the right wing, if they impeach Biden to have the first woman President.
