Doing a quick calculation 1.4 % of Americans have caught the virus and 0.04 % have died from it

140 000 Americans have died from the virus. If only 400 000 have been infected, ensuring no one gets infected takes an entirely higher level of importance. A 30% deaths rate is much worse than a 3.5% death rate (official cases and official deaths)

You are totally confused. And it's always worth noting in these "COVID-19 is overhyped" threads by right-wingers...that you are the same people who insisted that the entire thing was a hoax...and "Masks kill people", etc. back in February and March.

Here's what you need to know:

The mortality rate is going to be about 3%.
The morbidity rate (i.e. the rate of severe disease) is about 15%.
The prevalence (i.e. the rate of infection) is officially at about 5 Million, but we know (from test results and exponential growth patterns) that it's actually about 10X that (or, about 50 Million Americans).
Without an effective and scalable vaccine, we can expect at least 250 MILLION Americans to be infected, and (depending upon the how long that takes) more than a million Americans to die.

With a vaccine, within the next 18 months, we can reasonable keep the death toll in 6-digits.

So, whatever you thought you were trying to say, the bottom line for this thread is that your OP was complete b.s.

Why don't you guys who prattle about election fraud get off the dime. You need organize a group to look into it and thus blow the lid off the greatest unseen, undetected political crime in history, one that no doubt involved hundreds of well-trained Alinsky organizers fanning out across the land, having taken invisible pills, convincing millions of illegals to sign up, and then of course taking poison so they would not be tempted by media offers of big money for the biggest story of the new century.
