Isn’t faith being central targeting stupid people??

Faith doesn't target stupid people, it targets emotional people.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other...

Emotions can just make you stupid...

On the contrary - Christianity is not based on blind faith.
The Creator (of Christian belief) had given mankind what is known as critical thinking that which is a tool in order to be able to discern and make personal judgement/decision.

Yes, logic is very much front and central part of it.
may I ask you: how much have you read and understood the Bible?

Apparently, Sadly he did not teach you the list of logical fallacies when he did lol...

A) you haven’t even established a god, let alone that he invented logic?!?

B) Athens “invented” logic and predates Jesus by a grip..

C) oh I thought he told ya’ll “the lord works in mysterious ways, I want 10% of your money..

Funny you are not asking the questions that actually have answers.. like ..

“Why are none of the testable claims the Bible makes what history later found??

The global flood, 7 day creation, Noah’s family spawning the human race, sodom and gamorah...

The question of the Bible being correct is not the intangible one people pretend it is...

The Bible makes many many claims that fail miserably.

Wrong, they do have answers and you'll find them nowhere else but in the Bible...I did...

Funny how none were objective truths and instead just philosophical mumbo jumbo..

Science makes cell phones, Christianity made.. idk burning witches..

Look! Look! It's real! Because some guy looking to make money wrote a book! I can't understand why the whole of humanity has not become christians because of this book!

I've yet to see a Christ-denier make a cogent argument - with evidence / substantiation - that falsifies the resurrection. You're another one who hasn't.

If I were a Christ-denier but couldn't bust that resurrection, I'd be very nervous about Judgment Day. Perhaps you should be pacing your kitchen floor at 2 am.

Gotta love those replies that couldn’t be bothered to include a counterpoint.

I suppose that means.................... you have not read and understood much at all.

Got it.

Yes, Christianity (faith) can, and usually exposes very stupid people.

Your response is a good reflection of your title.

How would you know since you've never heard them?

Come on man.....

This thread is not invisible lol... anyone who wants to can scroll down the page and the pro-Christianity side is all just pithy comments claiming “nah uh” with no rebuttal...

Aka conservatism 101.. say something pithy and claim victory when you never even made a claim to be debated?!?!

Exactly like you just did..

B) This is not hard math..

Faith is the central pillar of Christianity... no one denies that..

The dictionary definition of faith is : belief in the impossible or highly unlikely... no one is denying that..

So the central pillar of Christianity is “belief in the impossible or highly unlikely “.

If you say that about anything people are not emotionally invested in and no one disagrees they are targeting stupid people.

I sure am glad this forums has a quote feature so everyone who later reads it can see that out of all the Christians here . None even wrote a rebuttal...

Just a pithy comment before they claimed victory.

Everything...like I said, following Christ is not for the stupid or the ignorant...

Depends on how you define ignorant...

Belief in the impossible or highly unlikely, sounds like a fair definition for ignorant to me...

Nothing but common sense and logic...guess that's foreign to you...;)

Except....

The whole point of faith is it is illogical..

If it were the logical conclusion then you wouldn’t need faith!! Lol

You don’t have faith the sun with rise tomorrow, because it rises every day..

You have faith in the impossible or highly unlikely.

Don't confuse unwillingness with inability.

That tells me you don't know what it is.

Which tells me that you are wrong. Atheism is not a scientific theory. Abiogenesis is, and does not require atheism to be included in the theory. You can't demonstrate otherwise.

faith and trust is not illogical

if you have faith in someone, whats wrong with that?

Nope...the truth is very logical and it makes sense...

Religion was important in the dark ages when peoples life expectancy was less than 40 ..when life was extremely
difficult. The dark Ages were the period 476–800 AD where life was violent, chaotic, brutal, vicious and mercifully short.
Most people were uneducated and latched onto to christianity with the hope of a better afterlife.

Most of us today don't need a crutch to get through life. Add the issue of pedophile priest in the Catholic church and
it becomes clear as to the reasons why religion is shrinking in modern societies.

Rofl...you're so sure in your error, it's cute.

7 Theories on the Origin of Life

7 realistic, scientific, possibilities on how life started, no magic, just science.

Life on Earth began more than 3 billion years ago, evolving from the most
basic of microbes into a dazzling array of complexity over time. But how
did the first organisms on the only known home to life in the universe
develop from the primordial soup?

Christianity isn't a crutch. It's recognition of a superior intellect running the universe and interacting with those who receive him.

On the other hand...

“Atheism is a crutch for those who cannot bear the reality of God.” ― Tom Stoppard
