Isn’t faith being central targeting stupid people??

The idea of abiogenesis was cute back in the day when we thought small life forms were really simple, but we know that they are not. The idea that random non-organic chemicals organized into a complex system that had the ability to do many tasks is just silly. The life form would have to pop some chemicals together that could: consume food; metabolize food, replicate itself to the point that that replication could do all those things, ect, ect

That's not getting into the concepts of cell structure and the microscopic processes that are going on to keep the integrity of the cell. Chemicals aren't going to randomly organized into that. They never will. It's like when people thought that rotten meat created flies.

A biogenesis is not related in any way to atheism. This is a non explanation of a nonsense statement.

Re: Isn’t faith being central targeting stupid people??

Andrew Newberg, a neuroscientist who studies the brain in light of religious experience, has spent his career following this hunch. “If you contemplate God long enough, something surprising happens in the brain. Neural functioning begins to change. Different circuits become activated, while others become deactivated. New dendrites are formed, new synaptic connections are made, and the brain becomes more sensitive to subtle realms of experience. Perceptions alter, beliefs begin to change, and if God has meaning for you, then God becomes neurologically real.”

A scientific explanation for the religious experience.

Do humans have a ‘religion instinct’? - BBC Future

That could be true of any beliefs or delusions. Human have a fear of reality instinct.

What does that have to do with anything?!?!

Is the DICTIONARY definition of faith still “belief in the impossible or highly unlikely”???

Yes.

Is the primary pillar of Christianity faith??

Yes.

So the most important attribute for a Christian is the willingness to believe in the impossible or highly unlikely...

Aka stupid people......

<facepalm>

You're way behind the curve on this. You need to do your homework. First, read "The Historical Jesus," by scholar Dr. Gary Habermas.

Then read the book below. The resurrection is solid as a rock. Faith in Jesus and that resurrection is thus not only based on solid events, and a resurrected individual, but skeptics for the resurrection have a much greater faith in their unsubstantiated denials. Oh ye of GREAT FAITH!

There's not a credible alternative for what happened on that Sunday other than the resurrection. You're welcome to come up with your alternative, but I would hope you have something of substance to provide when making your case.

Do your homework.

Case for Resurrection Habermas.webp

I see you're speaking on things you do not understand. It's OK, there are plenty of people like you, so you're not alone.

The holes in his feet would stop him from walking on water.

Your ad hominem is noted. Atheism was around long before any theory of Abiogenesis. They have absolutely nothing to do with each other, oh wise one. It must hurt to be as smart as you.

Look! Look! It's real! Because some guy looking to make money wrote a book! I can't understand why the whole of humanity has not become christians because of this book!

You are far from being the only entity in the universe.

Not the point. It's possible to take extreme elements of any voiced belief and label them as representative examples. It's just disingenuous to do so. Westboro Baptist church is not a representative example of the overwhelming majority of Baptists, for example.

I am just offering my view. I don't speak for anyone else, so you're having a dicussion with me, and not evangelicals as a group, or any particular Christian denomination. My view is not unique. If you got that impression, you are incorrect.

Lets imagine intelligent life exist somewhere else ..in another galaxy tens of thousands of light years away from earth. The question is this - will they go to hell if they haven't incorporated jesus into there lives.
Or is it our responsibility to somehow find them and teach, kinda like we did with the indian's.

Re: Isn’t faith being central targeting stupid people??

Well, you didn't get it straight. Abiogenesis isn't evolution. They are two different things. Abiogenesis deals with how non-life became life and evolution deals with how life that already exists changes.

Okay, I got it ..abiogenesis is a scientific theory ..its the original evolution of life or living organisms from inorganic or inanimate substances.

However, to construct any convincing theory of abiogenesis, we must take into account the condition of the Earth about 4 billion years ago.

Organic life didn't occur via some sort of magic ..it happened by spontaneous natural means as all life anywhere does.

Same way He raised Lazarus and was Himself resurrected.

And how was that, with a magic wand or potion.

god only made man so called aliens are demons who must be purged with flame fear not their cheep tricks believe not ther lies and illusions my brothers and sisters for the power of god is with us and in his name we shall smite these abominations that offend him

Do you even know what abiogenesis is?

Yup...that's the theory. However, that theory is less believable than the existence of some kind of deity as we now know just how complex even the most simple single-celled living organism are. Those things don't randomly organize themselves together.

It's never been observed, never had any evidence of, and never been replicated in a lab.

I do question all the time and I've gotten my questions answered, with studying the Bible...like...

Why are we here?
What is God's purpose for us?
What is God's purpose for the earth?
Why does God allow wickedness for so long?
What does the future hold for mankind?
Why is it that man grows old and dies after such a brief existence, when even some trees live thousands of years?
What happens when we die?
Where are the dead?
Which of the many religions on earth does God approve?
How can I determine which is the right religion?
What does God require of me?

The list goes on and the answers are all within the pages of the Bible...

Funny you are not asking the questions that actually have answers.. like ..

“Why are none of the testable claims the Bible makes what history later found??

The global flood, 7 day creation, Noah’s family spawning the human race, sodom and gamorah...

The question of the Bible being correct is not the intangible one people pretend it is...

The Bible makes many many claims that fail miserably.
