I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration

You made the claim first (about what "Americans like"), but I'll give you a freebie and do your homework for you this time.

Trump Approval Ratings

this was the claim
"Which is why his approval ratings have been a dumpster fire for most of his administration"
It has no supporting facts. Do people on this forum know that you can click the button to right of your nick to backtrack through the posts? You and another member were unable to trace back through 4 posts. Ill show you how it works whenever you guys are ready.

No we're not.

That you've accepted the "fake news" meme by Trump demonstrates you have been hypnotized, your mind is a bucket full of thought terminating cliches, and therefore nothing you can say about politics has any credibility.

I just believe what I see and what I experience. In my line of work, EVERYONE, regardless of political stripe is saying the same thing...it's a boom like never before.

You obviously haven't been around here very long. It you say something you need to support it. Otherwise you could be pulling it out of an orifice for all we know.

hahahha jesus...use the arrow button to the right of your name. Yeah I havent been here too long and Im already tutoring you on how to use the forum tools. Follow that thread and come back and apologize or you go permanent ignore for trolling.

NK has restarted their nuke program...so what did he do?

He has them at the negotiating table. No president before him has done that. If obama did what Trump did the same clowns excoriatng him here would be in uncontrollable orgasm posting mode. Lets face it, you guys arent angry because hes failing, your angry that hes succeeding. Your post proves the above. Negotiating takes time. If anyone here thinks both sides arent going to posture then political forums arent your thing. Facebook may be a better place to say things like Trump isnt succeeding in NK. He factually is.

What kills me is the same people that claimed Obama didn't have enough experience were ecstatic about Trump. And we need an outsider they said. Someone that is not a politician. He can learn on the job they said.

Would you hire a plumber to do surgery on you? I doubt a surgeon would be a good plumber either. Politics is not something you can't learn on the fly. There's a lot to it, and much much more to running the entire country and making decisions that effect the rest of the world.

Obama had 0 executive experience. Zero. Do you deny this fact?
Trump has a lifelong history of executive experience and success. Do you deny this fact as well?

He's not anonymous to NY Times. They know the identity and can confirm that the author of it is a high level official in the Trump Administration.

Who gives a **** if the NYTs knows who he is ? Given the media's track record, I'm not entirely convinced he exist.

But let's say he does exist. There's NOTHING stopping him from coming forward and presenting his evidence to start the process of invoking the 25th amendment. What's important is WE know who he is, Congress knows who he is.
So either he's doesn't exist, or he doesn't have the character or the integrity to show his face and go through the legal process of removing Trump.

He actually tried to address this issue in the OpEd saying he and others decided not to go through the legal process because they didn't want to cause a Constitutional crisis.

The overt defiance of Trumps Constitional authority by a unelected appointee IS A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS, and you people are cheering this guy on.
He's not only subverting the Presidents authority, he's subverting the will of the people and by extension the Constitution. He's breaking the be law

Donald Trump is so ignorant of government that he even mistakenly used the term 'treason'. Treason means to give aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States.' This anonymous person isn't giving aid and comfort to Russia, or N. Korea, he's doing a service to the country by trying to protect it from a crisis that Trump has created all by himself.

This is a coup. A coup is "levying war".

The law says:

"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason..."

These conspirators are an enemy.

And so far what this morning say Republicans on the Hill?..... Crickets. So based on my earlier posting, you have your answer.

Except they are not at the negotiating table and they never were involved in an honest negotiation over nukes. You have to have good faith to have an actual agreement and an actual treaty and there was none and is none between Trump and KJU.

If the NYT's got this wrong it represents an existential threat to the paper. This decision to publish the Op-ed went all the way to the Publisher and likely the Board itself. No Editor makes this decision unilaterally. Remember, this person is anonymous to us, not to the NYT's. So my money is on the author being properly characterized by the NYT's.

What a shock....KJU checks in this morning. "Oh yea...I would like to denuclearize within Trump's term". Ah-huh. Meanwhile he continues to build and actually expands his nuclear capabilities. What a charade. The entirety of Singapore was a charade that is still playing out to the only two people that have benefited from it, Trump and KJU. Their countries certainly have not benefited one bit.

This is true. If, whoever the source is, is found, they could be found guilty of treason. This is really a big, big deal. It undermines the entire chain of command on which both the military and government rely. You can't run anything in any functional way with such insubordination. And it's odd to think that this was someone appointed by Trump himself. So much for appointing "the finest people".

We don't know if this is someone President Trump appointed.

He has said he works in the whitehouse inner circle. Everyone there is a Trump appointee. I heard one analysis last night which, based on the content, writing style, diction, vocabulary, phraseology, and previous history of statements, suspected Dan Coates.

Besides, based on the Woodward book, it seems it’s not just one person, but becoming a problem culture at the White House calling to try to contain a boss that most people think is unhinged and a danger to the country, if not Outright illegal . You have to keep the dangerous sharp shiny objects away from the young child having a meltdown and tantrum, so he doesn’t hurt himself and those around him. It seems to be a systematic policy of containment by just about everyone around him. Our close allies like Europe and Canada also seem to be pursuing such a policy, until we can get our act together again in this country.

But I will admit, this is treason by just about any definition. It seems the entire Trump inner circle would be guilty of it if these charges are pursued.

Treason? No. The person revealed no top secret national secrets, etc. try again.

It's not treason, though it is hard to run anything in a functional way when you run a dysfunctional administration.

i was 42 when I quit drinking the Democrat party kool aid. And those were not nearly as bad as democrats as today's are. Today they play extremely poor politics.

I admire Zell Miller for waking up.

You never woke up. As a zell guy you are and always have been a conservative just as the south has always been. You seem to be more stuck on labels than ideology.

That's not what he said. He/she said "senior official". That could any one of 100+ people.

Meh on this, would the NY Times have published this in say 2010 if it was an insider "resisting" Obama? So stupid.

Nope...

And the public would have declared the "resistance" to be racist.

For me, I place zero credibility on this OP-Ed and the NYTs anonymous source.

Also characterized as a "presidential appointment" which might still run to a possible 100 people in the WH/admin.
