You have no idea what you have no idea about, unless you have Mueller's notes. Thus, Pelosi rightly stated that she doesn't want impeachment because she knows she needs Republican Senators to convict, which they will only do if the evidence is compelling.

I am old enough to remember Watergate. Back then, Republicans resisted impeachment until the evidence uncovered was overwhelming. We will find out shortly how much evidence exists against Individual-1 Trump.

If Mueller had the goods, we would have long known it by now.

Moreover, Trump has a 53.3% disapproval rating. Obama had a 45.5% disapproval rating.

1. Obama scored 5,000,000 less votes in his re-election bid. Trump won by a razor thin margin of 85,000 votes in three states. Trump has no votes to give up.

2. Trumps ratings continue to trail Obama's as of this point in the presidency. More importantly, Obama never had disapproval ratings any where near Trump's.

They out polled the Reps by 7-9 points nationally, leading to 40 seat pick up in the house, 9 new governors and 7 state house flips. What was most telling in the last election were very solid "blue" performances in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. A reasonable person would be quick to surmise that that path is not closed to the re-elect Trump effort.

I don't believe that. I think if evidence was presented supporting the original witch hunt they would impeach. I am glad that they are not willing to impeach over a fishing expedition with nothing to support this calamity we have had to endure for the past 2 years. Pelosi has surprised me by allowing intelligence to make her decision rather than bias hate.

My point is that you shouldn't be surprised. She had exactly the same opinion about every single impeachment effort since Watergate, regardless of the party trying to do the impeachment. She is philosophically opposed to turning Congress into a courthouse for 6 months to a year unless the clear evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors and a credible chance that the votes exist to convict. She sees it as a waste of time and money for all three branches involved.
