That's the problem with manufactured narratives. They only sound good if you don't think about them.

It is more time effective to wait for the narratives generated to cover any screwups to show up sometime today or tomorrow.

I'm frankly annoyed when every channel covers anything. Before cable and Netflix I hated all the sports seasons for taking up all the programming space.

It was televised for his fans. The rest of us don't get off on his speeches like y'all do. We lack the underlying conditioning you respond to. Like dogs salivating at the sound of a bell.

It was all somebody else's words, a prepared speech. You don't think he writes those, do you?

And I promise that his campaign is doing everything they can to keep him on script.

They joy is that nobody can do that, so the hits will keep coming.

For budgeting purposes this will be listed as an Official White House Event.

But as you have astutely pointed out, this was a campaign rally thinly disguised as an official event.

Trump cooks the books so taxpayers pick up his tab.

Physics says that wearing a mask will reduce the amount and velocity of the droplets the virus needs to ride on in order to spread.

Nobody needs to take anybody's word for that.

They are all devoting their time to the usual "regular news," and anti-Administration commentary.

If this had been any other President, national networks would be showing the entire presentation.

Instead, I'll wager that there are recordings being made which will be analyzed and picked apart for those other "major outlets" and their subsidiaries. Why? IMO so as to show later with appropriate "commentary" in whatever way they think can do the most damage to the President.

Either directly by taking his statements out of context, or via misrepresenting him all to present him in the worst light possible.

We all see that the "context" is constructed after about 24hrs.

His whole presidency has been a litany of "So, what had happened was...".

An endless refrain of the chorus from the Shaggy song: "It wasn't me!". In reference to being caught banging on the bathroom floor.

That sounds so good, doesn't it.

Problem with it is that lots of folks were disappointed in Obama. He was too corporate, continued our drone program, tried to negotiate with republicans from a reasonable starting position when they had no intention of being reasonable.

At the end of the day he wasn't a preening gloryhound prone to verbal catastrophes and promulgation of fringe conspiracies and incapable of thinking of anything beyond how it might injure or benefit him personally

The recommendations evolved as scientists/researchers learned more about the virus. The recommendations became more stringent as the learned more about the virus.

I don't see a contradiction to what advice has been put out. Would you prefer that the specialists say nothing till they have CV19 figured out? If so, you would still be waiting.

Actually, in consensus reality, their positions have changed as they learned more about this novel virus.

"Novel" in this context means "new".

So at first they knew nothing. And were dealing with massive shortages of medical grade PPE. So they advised against panic buying and hoarding and scalping PPE.

But your narrative managers figured out that you would buy calling modifying positions as more is learned about the virus as being inconsistent.

If you're fighting a fire and the wind changes, you're not "flip-flopping" when you redeploy resources. And you weren't wrong or lying with your original deployment based on the weather conditions when they were made.

IMO both. Those not being led by the nose by partisanship and capable of separating fact from fiction will condemn it, as it should be. IMO The Donald has pretty much given up on appealing to anything but his followers. This kind of stunt appeals to them. He's betting there are enough of them to vote him back in in Nov.

Polls are showing he's backing the wrong horse. As are his followers.

Like the only upper part of the stadium at trump's first rally that the cameras would catch were full.
